After many trials of handlebar/stem setups I got it figured out! I have a 160 mm stem with an unknown perfect cruiser bar I found at the re-cyclery. The hardest part by far has been color matching.
It was my intention to keep this build inexpensive AND keep track of my parts/cost. (First time I’ve done that) On a spreadsheet for the second photo.
Let me know your thoughts! What would have you done different if this was your build? Thanks! I love this community!

Beautiful bike! The pink housing is a great touch. Looks like you’ve got a quill to threadless adapter in there, do you know who makes that one? I’m starting a very similar build around a 92 GT Talera and think I may end up going adapter rather than 31.8 quill.
love that the spreadsheet accents are pink too
Were they out of long stems?
Keeping track of project costs is an insult to everybody in this sub! How dare you, sir!
Great looking bike – is the frame paint/decals original – look in great shape?
I don’t remember what my frame could fit before I expanded it. Think it could take 64-559? I bet some grey wall Surly Extraterrestrials would look real slick on it, and only double your cost.
