In the market for my first serious bike. Really just doing solo rides or small group with gf and friends. Comfortably up to 50miles at a time. Riding about 80-100miles/week.
This Roubaix SL4 2015/2016 52” popped up local to me. Seems to be the comp disc with ultegra and hydraulic brakes. They’re asking $1,800 usd. Is that fair? If not, what would be a good offer?
Fair deal or keep searching? I tried out a newer 52 roubaix at my LBS and really liked it. I currently ride an older 2000s allez 54. I jisy don’t think it’s worth upgrading this old allez given it’s age.

This is from an era where there are a lot of odd standards on disk bikes. Post mount, it might have a unique spacing for the wheels Specialized used something called SCS for a few years. It is impossible to get new SCS wheels. It is hard to get a sense of the condition of the bike because the bright backlight shining over the most important parts. Assuming that this bike has average to poor condition and needs tuneup and some parts I would have a hard time paying more than 1000-1300.
For disk brake bikes look for bikes newer than 2018 or so that use flat mount and thru axles. This will give you more options when it comes to replacement parts.
For 1,800 you’re in the territory of a pretty nice piece of kit from your LBS. I’d say go take a look at some before pulling the trigger
