it looks okay but i’d always be cautious of trade offers for things you don’t know much about. it could have damage you can’t identify

This bike MSRPs for $6300 USD new, so it sounds like more than reasonable as a $3600 trade value.

Are you trying to resell or use it?
If you want to ride it, it also needs to fit you properly and feel reasonably comfortable (may need more core strength, hence the “reasonably”).

trade almost too good to be true. that bike looks brand new and retails >well over $5k. Maybe of that bike was 2 yrs old it would seem reasonable

Check the condition of stuff. But absolutely yes.
That exact bike is $6300 brand new. Im looking at it on Trek’s website. And the components were released 4 months ago. Its the newest toy on the block. So its impossible this is some “used” bike they are selling. That thing has been ridden for 3 months max. Unless they crashed it, youre getting a new bike for 50% off.

Run the serial against Bikeindex.org to make sure it’s not stolen. That’s almost too good of a deal.

This seems too good to be true. There is a high likelyhood of it being a stolen bike as the offer is a large mismatch in price and fishy as heck.

I know people are saying this is fishy but the person taking pics has 3 bikes hanging in what appears to be a nice storage setup in the background, pretty atypical for your average bike thief. They might have a pro deal of some sort and are giving you a used discount off of that. Or they might also just be an exceptionally organized bike thief so do some investigation!

I just bought the aluminum version and test road this same bike. The base sl7 was $3400.. I’m not sure which one this is but that doesn’t seem too far off.

Idk a camera is worth more than a bike. A bike is a depreciating asset.
