You mean you’re trying to remove the crank arm. You need a crank puller for that. It’s kind of a hard tool to use. You could end up stripping the threads.
If you just want to remove the pedal all you need is a pedal wrench. And that is easy.

As above. A crank puller threads into the arm. As you tighten the inner bolt, it slowly pulls the crank arm off.
You’ll never get it out without that tool.
