Possibly. Can you measure the distance that the frame provides both here and by the pedals. Also check the fork as well. You’ll need some extra room of course.

You need to also make sure your rims are wide enough to handle 42mm tires, each internal rim width has a max compatible tire size, you should also consider it the cantilever brakes will rub on the tire when the brake pad is lifted off the braking surface (ask me how I know)
