
IIRC, some tires, like these Pitelli P Zero Races, have wear indicators. That said, tire seems pretty beat up, so maybe it's wishful thinking? Or maybe the roads just really do suck this much around the NYC metro. It's more little picture things, like you can see, then that the rubber is so gone… Maybe? The tire is a front recently swapped to back, had around 2500 miles on it. Thanks for the input!

I’m running locally on a pair of tires that have outlived their expected duration. They will be changed when I see signs of failure or before I take off on an extended ride. Keep an eye on yours and ride but be ready to change them out. Better to have replacements on hand than have to wait or shop for them in the event of a failure.
