This February half term, we headed to La Thuile, Italy, for an unforgettable family ski and snowboard adventure – ages 6 to 60! From first turns on the beginner slopes to carving down wide cruisy pistes, La Thuile has something for everyone.
🏂 Learning to Snowboard
Some of us swapped skis for snowboards this year and tackled the beginner slopes – perfect for building confidence with plenty of space and gentle runs. Progressing each day was such a buzz!
⛷️ Mixed Slopes for All Levels
La Thuile’s San Bernardo ski area links Italy and France, with over 80 slopes to explore. Wide blue runs, scenic reds, and a few challenging blacks meant every member of the family had their perfect day on the mountain.

We filmed our trip using an Insta360 camera, which made for some epic shots — from sweeping mountain panoramas to following the kids racing down the slopes. The footage really brings the experience to life!

From ski school for the little ones to après-ski drinks for the adults, this trip had it all. La Thuile’s friendly vibe, beautiful views, and variety of runs made it the ideal destination for a family group spanning generations.
