Nearly finished. Managed to break the axel key in the TCW III hub while assembling after cleaning but a new one is in the mail. Until then it’s just a single speed. The petals were amazing crooked but I straightened ed them out on an anvil and they are nearly straight and spin smoothly. Can barely make out Columbia on the rubber blocks of the pedals, could be original to the bicycle. Chainring is a wald replacement, which is understandable for a bike this old. The odometer is at over 1400 miles. The front wheel is a replacement as well. The generator was frozen so I disassembled and cleaned it, and upgraded the bulbs to LEDs. Kickstand is worn out an is not going back on. Just needs a front fender a new kickstand now.

  1. That is one beautiful bike. Working on a Pashley Princess at the moment, but nowhere near as old as this one. Did you repaint the frame?

  2. Restoring cheap bikes can be a lot of fun. I’m impressed this one has gone 1400 miles. Probably got a lot of people to work over the years.

Surprised the chainring got replaced though. Someone must’ve bent it or something; thick steel chainrings last a lifetime.
