Hi folks ! Recently bought a 2023 Exceed, it came with a Rockshox Recon Silver and no matter how I try to dial it it’s still a rough ride. Terrain is pretty rocky here and I was thinking of overforking it with a 120mm 34/35mm fork (SID or Fox 34). I’m aware it’ll make it less agile but aside from that is there any downside ? Any insight will be appreciated.

Recons have steel stanchions dont they? I dont think 120mm would be anywhere near too much. A sid would be much lighter or put a carbon fork on it and use it as a flat bar gravel.
