First two are in my budget I can buy now. Went to my LBS to see if they had a giant to sit on to figure out sizing and they recommended saving up for the stumpy 15 comp. So I made a second list of bikes in that price range. Would one of the first two be a good choice or will I find myself upgrading parts or wanting a better bike in a year or two? Is it worth it to save for one of the others listed at the next price point?
Only downside of the T9 is I’m a size small and that only comes in 27.5”.
The niner is a wild card I threw in because it looks solid with a huge discount. Only concern is I’m not sure how I feel about CF.
I had a different post and got some feed back that seems like a lot of bike companies are having issues. I eliminated canyon from the line up because of their issues with proprietary components bike shops don’t have the tools for and for apparently terrible customer service. Giant is having bikes seized at customs so I was gonna eliminate that but was informed this is old stock and already in a warehouse here. YT is apparently going bankrupt and not shipping bikes so I almost eliminated that but this one has my size ready to ship and I was informed if it has a future ship date people aren’t receiving them but if it’s ready to ship they are receiving them.

I’d go for the Trance all day at that price point.
My buddy got into riding and got a t8. It’s a solid starter bike but the frame is super heavy. Component spec is more than enough for a beginner but he quickly wanted more adjustability/performance.
I pulled the trigger on that same trance x 29 when that big discount started. It’s been great. And yes, it’s old stock from 2021/2022, so they are already in the country. I can’t comment on wanting to upgrade in a couple years. I haven’t been riding very long and don’t have much context to compare against other bikes or components, and the bike is more than enough for the trails in my area.
Not the Polygon.
I’ve had that trance for 4 years. It is a great bike for a great price
