So I put some Maxxis rambler 45mm tires on my gravel bike during middle of June.
Super easy to seat, been running em with orange seal and about 30 each psi. Sometimes a bit lower pressure sometimes higher. Been on hunt 4 season wheels.
About 1800km mixed gravel,single-track and paved roads. They didn't look super worn out to me but today they seperated from the edge?
Never seen this before, and yeah curios, what's the cause?

Is it faulty production? Is it the tubeless fluid? Did I fuck em up?
Happened while just hitting a small bump at low speed today.

Absolutely loves the tires, so that's why I'm asking, was expecting to get more miles out of em for sure.

  1. Maxxis tires ride nice but their construction isn’t the best. I see a lot of even brand new ones that are wobbly. Have seen a few fail like this one. As a professional mechanic I’m not super impressed with Maxxis. It’s just really popular because they have a lot of OEM contracts with brands.

Bead defect. Go through a rep/ shop and get pics to Maxxis. They should replace.
