My freehub fell apart and I tried ordering a new one that did not fit into the hub. Having a hard time figuring out what freehubs would be compatible. It's a Shimano Deore 12s drivetrain. Could anybody help me out with what to look for in order to determine compatibility?

What wheelset is it?
Use the part # you have in the photo. Looks like a specialized 3 pawl hub, performance bike sells these
HFH-0023
Edit – for extra context here – the hub manufacturer and model is what you’ll want to go by for compatibility, the Shimano drivetrain requires a Microphone Driver. Most hubs are made with multiple driver options for SRAM and Shimano.
Rant:>! Jeeeesus. I wish there was some kind of mandatory reading for extremely common issues prior to posting. Variations on this question get posted like six times a day, and the answer is always the same:!<
**Freehubs are specific to the hub, not the drivetrain.** So you need to buy a replacement freehub from the company that made the hub in your wheel (which may or may not be the same brand as the rim).
It’s irrelevant that you have a Deore drivetrain. You need a Microspline freehub for [insert brand here] hubs. If you.
Annnnyways … did you try searching the numbers on the freehub? I did. Try searching “hfh-0023 freehub”… (Hint: those aren’t random digits. They are the part number you need to order a replacement …)
Pretty sure the hub is a rebranded Formula hub.
What brand/model is the hub?
