Sorry if this image has been seen a billion times before. I've never seen it but a friend of mine that knows I'm into bikes sent the picture to me asking if it would even be possible to pedal that bike from a stop.
Does anyone know anything about this sort of bike? Is one pedal revolution equal to nine years of time travel or something?

I’ll do the math if you count the teeth

I’m not counting links. But I think it might be a 90t front. Maybe a 14t rear.
The huge chainring is at least partly offset by the tiny wheel, but it’ll still be a pretty big ratio.
EDIT: plugged this into Sheldon’s gear calc assuming a 90t ring, 14t cog and 16″ wheel, it said 104 gear inches.
Assuming the OD of the chainring is approximately equal to the 2*crank length, that would mean the chainring is somewhere around 80-90 teeth.
If we assume the rear sprocket is 11 teeth and the wheel is 14″ then that would mean that one full crank rotation would be nearly 9m
All of them.
at least 1
Gotta be 12” wheels. Just sayin.
77” is chill. (90/16×12)
