So, we made it to Thailand, the place everyone has been telling us about. The country that is supposed to have the friendliest people, the tastiest food, and most importantly, the wildest beaches. Obviously, we couldn’t miss out on those. So, we came up with a route that crosses as many islands as possible in an ambitious attempt to see it all. The question now is whether or not we can find boats that can take us to the places we want to go. Look at the color of this water. So, join us as we attempt to cycle across six different islands while stopping at every beach we come across. And as if that was not enough, we decided to kick things off with a little challenge. So, you already know that we enjoy a little bit of adventure. And so, today, instead of taking this long route around these two rivers, we decided to come to this very small pier that we found on Google Maps. and we’re just going to try to pay someone to take us across the second river. This saves us some kilometers, but it’s also more fun. Uh, we just don’t know if this is going to work out. So, let’s see. Wish us [Music] luck. Everyone is looking at us. You can really tell that tourists don’t come here. Hello, Savadi. We found the pier and there are definitely some boats. So now we just need to find someone to take us there. There were no official boats crossing this river. So we started by asking some of the locals using the phone to translate our plan. So far it’s far. Yes. Ah, it’s too far. Yes. Yeah. This is a bit more tricky than what we expected. We kept asking around hoping that if we searched long enough, someone would agree to take us across. But then these people suggested something else and go to Inco. [Music] So apparently we have to backtrack around 20 kilometers to a different pier and then from there it should be possible to cross the river cuz it’s much narrower. Um, so we’ll see. This is [Music] adventure. Okay, we just made it to Incon Quay and now we just need to find a boat. The river was indeed narrower and so while we had lunch, we asked the owner if she knew someone that could take us to the other side and it didn’t take long to get a response. Apparently, there is a boat coming. Copen cup. There’s the boat. Obviously, the whole village came to help. And so, after tying the bikes to the boat, we were ready to go. We made it. [Music] 5 minutes later we were on the other side of the river. But only then we realized we had another challenge in front of us. Yeah. By crossing the river upstream, there was actually a second river we had to cross. And so without that much time left, we headed straight to the next pier. Uh, English. No English. No, no English. Uh, we want to go to Pramang. [Music] Yeah. Boat. Boat. Boat. Boat. Okay. There’s a boat coming. We’re getting good at this. [Music] Lon. It still blows my mind how kind everyone is around here. It feels like you can ask for just about anything and someone somehow will find a way to make it happen. But anyway, 15 minutes later, we arrived in Pramang, the place we had set out for at the beginning of the day. Mission accomplished. I cannot believe that we actually succeeded with this crazy idea. What a day. The next morning, we headed straight to the pier. The boat to the first island was scheduled to leave at 12:00, and we wanted to make sure we didn’t miss it. We made it to the pier. We’re going to take a boat to Kamuk. It’s the first island. Are you excited? You’ll be my slow and steady. I’ll be your bottom line. I’ll be your wild flower. You’ll be my rain or shine. We just arrived and this is our first sight. Look at this. So many fish. Wow. So ridiculous. Look at the color. To all the people saying that our big tires didn’t make sense for this trip, what do you say now? After talking to some of the locals, we heard about a secret beach that was only accessible by boat. So, we rented some kayaks to go see it. Okay, we leave the kayaks there and we’re going to go inside this cave. I fast and taking chances. What could ever go wrong? [Music] This might be one of the coolest spots I’ve ever seen in my life. We are right inside the hole. Look at that. It’s official. Kaying is a lot tougher than biking. I’m tired. Exploring these islands is a mix of being very excited to see everything, but also being too hot, too sweaty, too salty, too sandy to do anything. It’s tough, but it’s beautiful. [Music] [Music] So, I just want to take a moment to tell you about the sponsor of today’s video, which is Quadlock. I feel like if you own a bike, you also need to own one of these. Even if you just use your bike to commute or to go on short rides because it’s super nice to have your phone mounted on your handlebars. If you want to film something while you’re riding, if you want to use your phone as a GPS, if you want to listen to music, it’s super convenient. Recently, they came out with a new stem mount, which is honestly my favorite already because it keeps the phone less exposed and it’s also easier to reach. It’s made out of aircraft grade aluminum and the build quality is just too good. They also have a wireless charger in case you own an ebike which is super cool because you can charge your phone while riding. Unfortunately, I’m not traveling with an ebike. Otherwise, I would definitely upgrade. And in case you don’t own a bike at all, they also have mounts for cars, motorbikes, desks, and pretty much anything you can think of. So, if you’d like to grab one, make sure you check the link down below to get 10% off on any case or mount of your choice. Again, thank you so much Quadlog for sponsoring this video. And now, let’s explore more islands. The next day, we hired a taxi boat to take us to the next island. Yep, you heard it right. They have taxi boats here. Well, well done. Well done. We made it to look at the color of this water. I’m an honest man. It’s hard to find your way without it. Made it. I’m not going to lie, it was kind of funny cycling through all the fancy resorts. Everyone seemed very confused to see us there and we also felt a bit out of place. It’s low tide right now. So, we’re going to walk to the edge of the light blue water to see what we can find there. [Music] So, I’m wearing cuz apparently there’s in the ocean and I don’t really feel like being bitten. It’s getting deeper. Hopefully, we don’t have to swim. Look at this. [Music] We are in the middle of the sea. It looks like there’s a storm coming. It’s getting pretty cloudy. I think this combination of stormy weather and warm water is my favorite. It’s so nice. So, yeah. I’ll see you tomorrow. Good night. Good night. Bye. [Music] Wa! Look at this sunrise. [Music] As much as we were enjoying this island, there were still four left to explore. So, we took a ferry to go hike. We might actually be the first people to ever bike here. [Music] We found this really cool spot for the night. We’re paying 200 bat, uh, roughly €6, which is very cheap for an island like this. But we just have to be careful with the coconut trees cuz there are lots of them. And we definitely don’t want to get hit by one coconut during the night. So, I think we’re going to place the tent over here cuz it seems safe. But, uh, super cool spot. Look at this. [Music] 1 2 3. The plan for the following days was to cross three different islands before taking a ferry back to mainland. Thankfully, these were much bigger with proper roads and lots of things to see, which meant we could finally put in some good miles. Loose all around, never going to get me down. This is the old town of Colanta. It feels very different from the other islands. It’s a cool little village. There are lots of people, lots of tourists walking around and uh it just feels more alive. I like it here. Always shake the sun. The energy hits the hardest. So yesterday, Jules started feeling pretty sick at the end of the day. She was very nauseous and she had a really bad headache and uh yeah, she pretty much spent the whole night in the toilet. And so today we decided to just get a room and uh take a day off so that she can rest and hopefully tomorrow she’ll feel better again. Um yeah, it kind of sucks but it’s it’s part of it. [Music] Thankfully, the next day Juul was feeling better and so we decided to take a big boat to the next island which was a long 4 hours away. Luckily, our bikes never seemed to bother anyone. New island. [Music] We found the cutest pineapples. They’re so tiny. [Music] So good. [Music] I found a gold beetle. Look at him. [Music] Whoa. The beach. [Music] [Music] Good morning. So, yesterday we got here pretty late, but then we found this sort of sheltered spot. So, we decided to camp here because you never really know when it’s going to rain. So, whenever we find a roof like this, we just make use of it. But then at around, I don’t know, 12:00 or 1:00 a.m., we heard a really loud sound, like a sort of explosion. So, obviously, we woke up, we looked around, we couldn’t see anything cuz it was pitch dark. So, we just went back to sleep cuz we were super tired. But this morning, I can actually see what it was. It was someone from the road there tossed the bottle like a glass bottle into this area and it broke into a million pieces and that was the loud bang we heard. Um, so yeah, it was just it just scared the crap out of us, but it’s all good. Um, yeah, just super sketchy. You can actually still see the remainings of the bottle here. I’m so glad it didn’t hit us. Oh, later that day, we decided to take a boat to our last island, which was actually just 5 minutes away. It was bittersweet, to say the [Music] least. We made it to Co Yoya, our last island. There’s barely anyone here. Just a jewel and a cloud. This water feels like a proper boiling soup. Yeah, you cannot say that it’s very refreshing. Unfortunately, this is a bit of the reality everywhere you go. And I don’t say this to blame Thailand. Obviously, this is a worldwide problem, but it’s always heartbreaking to see beaches as beautiful as this. So dirty. Um, but yeah, this is reality. [Music] On the very last day of our time there, a big storm was coming our way. And so, as usual, we tried to look for some shelter. But this time, the best thing we could find was an abandoned house. Luckily, it wasn’t as spooky as it sounds. If I’m being honest, these two weeks went by on the blink of an eye. I don’t know what happened, but before I knew it, we were on a big boat going back to mainland. Something that began as a silly idea to bike across some tropical islands in Thailand became one of the best experiences of our lives. And I think it was also during this time that I came to fully realize that I’m doing exactly what I want to be doing with my life and that is a really good feeling to have. So I want to ask you what is it that you really want to be doing with your life because our time here is too short to be doing anything else. Thank you for watching and I’ll see you soon. Look at our camp [Music] spot. Little sunrise swim in this water. Look at this. [Music] Look at us biking on a tropical island. [Music] Come to the beach. The sunset is pretty. Wow. Holy [Music] Wow.

18:44 When Bernardo said, “I think it was also during this time that I came to fully realise that I am doing exactly what I want to be doing with my life, and this is a really good feeling to have,” something inside me shifted. It brought tears to my eyes—tears of longing, of hope, of quiet ache. I saw in him a reflection of the life I’ve always dreamed of… one that’s close to the earth, to silence, to peace. One day, I pray, I’ll find myself there too—living simply, breathing freely, and feeling that same kind of wholeness he spoke of.
