I’ve just cycled through a thunderstorm. I’m freezing cold. I’m really tired and questioning my sanity. I’ve just got changed in this bus shelter and had a really long rest. So, I’m ready to get going again. Today’s footage comes from cycling up to Cold Its Castle, the famous prisoner of war camp from World War II. Unfortunately, the top of the hill, I dropped the drone and it’s not working anymore. So, unless I can buy a replacement tomorrow, this will be the last drone of the day. Like today, tomorrow’s ride promises to be 120 mi, but the terrain looks pancake flat, and we go to Berlin, where checkpoint 2 is. This will give me the best chance to buy a train replacement. Apart from the excitement of Cold Castle, the rest of the day was rather dull, riding through flat German countryside with nothing much to see. A quick update on my bottom status. It was slightly improved on yesterday thanks to the lashes of cream I’ve been applying to it. I met another competitor today whose only thing he wanted to talk about was his sore bum.
