I've exhausted my Google / ChatGPT abilities and need some help dating this head badge. I'm aware who HL flake is and the "Texas Special" line of Schwinn they distributed.
I've only ever seen the aluminum color printed head badges. The other day I came across this one in a thrift shop with the wife.
It's aluminum but really hard. The background is black. The design is stamped into the badge not printed on like the color ones.
Hoping someone sees this that knows exactly when it's from.
