Flying into Chiang Mai to stay for a couple weeks, doing local rides and enjoying the city. I may check out a couple local bikepacking routes, mainly the Lanna Kingdom Loop and Tigerhead Mountain Loop. Then planning to do the Thai portion of the Bamboo Byway to the Laos border, then see if I want to continue through Laos and towards Hanoi!

Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or tips!!

  1. If you’re in Chiang Mai, and wanna do some big mountain climb – head up to Doi Suthep. Alot of the pro European teams does their training there so bicycles are a regular occurrence on the mountain. Beautiful view up top and if you go further up into the forest, theres a strawberry smoothie + noodle shop. She will literally pick 2 handful strawberries from her farm for your smoothie.
