Howdy all. First up, this sexy chrome beast is a Zebra Empire which has decent components and besides some RD cable indexing or replacement (and ditching those knobbies) is all good to go and will stay with me.
Btw, I heard this may be an Iron Horse offshoot? Made in Taiwan and I'll check the serial number.
Next up, a Mongoose 700c from when they were semi-reputable with some center-pull cantis, a 21" frame, and BRAND NEW tires. I dropped by my LBS to inquire in vain about s barrel-shaped nut for the bolt on my seat post guts for a newer Marin. Instead, the owner took me to the dumpster and showed me this beauty. I regret, since returning to Western CT, not going by here and checking the bin regularly, but that changes from here onward.
That Zebra is something. $40 and worth it, to me, just for the chrome!

Zebra Empire is a pretty great name. Also looks awesome. Grab some 000 steel wool and get some great shine on it!
