I’ve been lurking on secondhand sites, digging through thrift stores, and wandering yard sales for over a year now—just hoping to find a decent vintage steel road bike that fits well with a reasonable price.

Today, it finally paid off.

Scored this lower-end Peugeot for $20, and rode it straight off the yard sale without issue.

Nothing fancy, but it fits perfectly and checks all the boxes for the solid, no-stress errand/commuter/family bike I’ve been after—something I won’t panic about locking to a random street pole.

Planning to do some light modding:
Toe clips
Bright, unapologetic bar tape
Fenders and a rear rack to make it a capable daily rider

Open to suggestions from the vintage bike crowd—looking to keep the retro charm but make it fun and functional.

Also, if anyone has a decent N+1 rule PowerPoint for my wife, she could use some help with the math.
