After taking quite some time to sort out the various problems with this bike I can now use it regularly to do errands or even cycle it to work.
I still haven’t found a key for the fork lock so I added a frame lock on the rear wheel.
I laced up a replacement rear hub as the clutch in the old 3-Speed was worn out and treacherous to cycle.
The rod operated drum brakes are still very weak. it’s still great fun to cycle.
