🔧 Final Rig Build Stage: SID 3.5. 😄
OK, I’m gonna give a rundown on the tasks I’ve completed and what I have yet to do to physically be on the road vlogging life.
Yeah man, I’m jazzed; in my mind I’m going through all of the next steps of my plan. It’s a continuum of steps that I’ve been working on for so long that I live and breathe it. It’s even kind of weird when I accomplish certain “landmark” tasks and know how much closer to an exciting future I am.
Finishing out all of the components to fit together for a good ride. The rest of it is just custom adjusting, really, as I have finally completed all of the diy projects after nearly two years of assembling the components.
SID’s touring accessories are mounted.✔️
A replacement chain arrived and is just installed, so SID’s drive system is done (it rides) ✔️
the trike’s brakes still need dialing in.🔧
Nancy cart needs re-hitching further back.🔧
Nancy needs modifications to the shell to accommodate Ozone more comfortably.
Johnny cart is complete and ready to hitch behind Nancy.✔️
I have collected and culled all tools I need for repairs on the road, both to the rig and to the cargo and also to Nancy’s solar system.✔️
Gear is packed (what I’m not currently using)✔️
Gear needs to be arranged onto its load-out. 🔧
Continental wheel needs to be mounted yet.🔧
Flags and banners are ready to install once load-out is tightened up to travel with cargo.✔️
Then I can to fill the cargo with remaining needed supplies on the way out, including: spare rubber for the 16” cart wheels, groceries, medical items, and I would like to have bear spray.🔧
Physically, I could ride away performing about four hours of work, I think:
An hour maybe of adjusting the brakes and properly hitching the carts to the trike, then adjusting the overall ride of the entire 7-wheeler train.
An hour to get all of the packs on, and another hour to ride around balancing the loadout as I cinch up packs or making relocation changes.
Another hour to hit a couple stores to get those supplies secured as cargo for the action.
Once all of this is done I actually will be on the road. As I travel, my mai. mechanical tasks will be daily repacking of gear for water and groceries, and fine-tuning of the rig as I notice things along the way to improve. At that point my main duties for the rig will be simple maintenance: from keeping parts in order, hardware secure, removing dirt, replacing worn out rubber or broken accessories.
I look forward to building a daily routine where I do a lot of exercise at my pace for many hours, and have everything I need to support myself along the way. My routine will include new adaptive versions of sleeping and cooking and eating and waste disposal. I will have to develop a new system for harnessing my solar, and keeping my electronics in a charging cycle, so electricity management is also going to be part of my daily . To this I will add any daily maintenance to the rig. I have thought through a system for resupplying, even if I need major mechanical parts or something along the way.
I’m sure all of this will become habit in the month that I am traveling. I will be living in a completely different way than I have ever lived before by combining previous ways of living. I get to reinvent my lifestyle again!
I’m excited . 😄❣️
