Just got these Xplr rims and tires, tires are 50mm and the rear tire has a slight wobble to it. I’ve gone up to 32psi..I do get 2-3 “pings” but when I remove air I can see the rim tape etc which allows me to think it’s not beading properly causing my wobble?
The shop is telling me to air up to 60psi .
Zipp Xplr owners or anyone, is this pressure safe to do on this hookless rim?

60 PSI seems crazy, I have the same wheels (with 45) and I think under 30 is the recommended by SRAM
60 psi is way too much, I ride similar wheels with 45mm tires around 32-36psi. (Not hookless)
But if the tire keeps the air overnight it’s generally fine
I’d make sure your wheels are trued properly
They are saying 60 to seat tire.
Not to ride man
Pump up until it seats more, then deflate to riding pressure. If there’s still a spot that isn’t seated roll the tire with your hands to guide it into position. I’ve had this help on stubborn road tires.
Or just ride it a bit. The bumps and slight sideways pressure will probably sort it out.
Is your axle tight?
I got all of the way till you said “hookless” and now I’m confused.
I thought they stopped selling this insult to people a couple of years ago- how are they new?
Did you neglect to do any research at all before purchase?
Those Zipp tires get bad casing runout like we see in Maxxis. Inflate to ping, inspect the bead. If the tire is fully seating ([you can tell by the way it is](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm3JodBR-vs)) and still wobbling you need a replacement tire.
I wouldn’t inflate 50mm tires to 60psi to on hookless “seat them” as they may remove themselves. If shop insists, have them do it.
Try deflating and spraying soapy water on the bead and reseating at a higher pressure like 50 psi. The soapy water helps the bead move on your rim. If this fails, you may have a deformed tire.
Have you tried the advice the shop gave, inflating to 60psi?
Hookless sucks, I fail to see any upside. Someone please enlighten me
