R six a good beginner bike no but out of all the 600s is probably not the worst choice but in general a 600 is probably not a great first bike I always tell the three Horsemen of the best beginner bikes in the world are the Ninja 400 the R3 and the M7 I said the N7 cuz it’s the best street bike on the planet Earth and you can honestly keep that bike forever you can learn how to do everything on that bike it may not be great on the track but it’s a great bike

Ninja 500 🙌🏾
The Mt07 is my baby right now. I started on a 250 duel sport dirtbike. That got stolen, so I got the mt07. I absolutely love the hell out of it. It can feel like a fairly aggressive bike, but good throttle and clutch control makes it feel like a dream in the canyons!
Im not just trying to be that guy but I owned a few dirtbikes im at the top of the leader boerd in f1 sim racing so I understand alot about vehicles i bought an r1 and I don’t find it bad to ride if you’re not doing tomuch trying to push it to the max i feel like its a good bike i never head a problem yet lmk what u think cuz I really dont know
This 5'6 mature beginner purchased a 2007 Kawasaki zzr 250. Took recommendations from Ryan on fortnine for beginner gear, ATGATT
Would you guys recommend at ninja 500? I am a little bigger so i dont think the 400 would be good for me, i just need some other options.
I started on a Honda Shadow 650cc.
No way lol I had an R3 and almost died a few times haha
Jumping outta the sports bike realm, a street 500 maybe?
In the UK we do a CBT which allows us to ride 125cc for 2 years, then you have the 2 years to pass your higher bike license. They aren’t super fast but they’re fun, they’re cheap and if you dump a 125 you’re gonna be a LOT less upset compared to dropping that £10000 600cc. Theyre great on petrol too. £12 gets ne about 240 miles. Not sure what it would be in America but fuel is cheaper there so id assume theyd be dirt cheap to run.
My dad got me on a diet bike when I was 3 and I have thank him so many times because that taught me how to use clutch and good throttle control. My first bike was and GSX-R 750 and it was a great bike and I still have it today with all my other bikes and when I'm not rider my fast bikes like my ninja H2 or my r1 it is one of the best bikes I've ever had
R7 is the best beginner bike
would ninja 500 be ok for a beginner? or is it better to stick with ninja 400?
Get something like a Honda 150 that you can ride in the dirt and on the street. Take some classes, gear up, and practice a lot, especially in the dirt. Then keep it and get another bike, maybe.
REALLY YOU CHANED YOU CHANNEL NAME BECAUSE YOU HAVE A GIFT
The ER-6N is good my brother had it for his first bike
there are only two choices neo, grom or turbo busa
The best begginer bikes are all 1000cc
Just get a zx4rr
As a honda lover I feel personally attacked you never said honda in recommending a beginner bike
Imo the thjngs tk consider are how big and heavy the bike/scooter is, how fast it can go, and what yoh are using it for. A commuter is going to be far more happy with a scooter that’s got a trunk and a knee guard and a more comfortable seat for a longer distance than a classic motorcycle, but may find the options hard to find or pick from because there’s a lot less and Vespa is the most well known and possibly most expensive brand. I’m a scooter guy – started on a Honda metropolitan (side note: these suckers are time bombs from 2017 onwards bc of transmission recalls. Be warned) and now I’m on an ADV150. That sucker is BIG and at 5’8” I have to practically jump once I get the kick stand up and my toes barely hit the ground straddling it – but it’s a size ip and I needed the speed and size boost so it works. That maxi-scoot (that looks like a motorcycle, but is in fact a maxi-scoot) would NOT work for a beginner, nor for someone who’s under 5’6” at the smallest by my estimate. Scooters also control different thanks tk the lower center of gravity, which means you need to consider that into what you are looking for. They work best at low speeds sl when I’m doing banking turns I have to slow down a good bit to increase control so I don’t drop my ADV.
This is also why I constantly push for airbag vests and racing-rated helmets. I have an hour commute to work unless I take a service road that hits 65 at one point – if I get thrown off or have a crash, I damn well better have some GOOD protection.
Guys just get a 125. Guys, if you're starting out, just get a 125. I've been riding and in the scene since I was born. Don't kid yourself; you may be fine on a 500-600 or whatever, but that doesn't mean you'll be good on it. And 125s are cheap; they are real cheap. I've just bought a brand new R66s for a bit of fun, and they are great. They're what I started on myself, and I ride a 1000cc now, which I can comfortably say I'm only able to control fully because of where I started.
I want to learn to ride bikes but I really would prefer a smaller bike and idk if I trust myself to be 100% safe on a street bike
I started with a ninja 250r (08)
This was right before the 400s (which had fuel injection and basically the same mpg as the 250 but better gearing)
I have a 2025 ninja 650
Starting out with a 500 or 650 would have been fine, but probably not like a gsxr or a zx6r. I’ve heard that they are not so bad on the low end, but generally the issue with new riders is going outside of your ability. A lower powered bike naturally inhibits this.
So, self control is the real secret because there’s no real secret to handling a bigger bike aside from knowing what you are doing and doing it correctly. So, skills issue.
My ninja 250 could handle very well. It kept up with my uncle’s gsxr through corners, except on the top end, he would completely outrun me with any throttle. The 250 is rpm limited to 100mph, which is considered reckless on public roads anyway.
Having a cheaper bike that you care less about will also help inspire confidence because you will be less upset when you make your first mistakes. You will just get right back up, swear a lil, figure o ur how to move on. You drop your nice new 12k bike and you might be more embarrassed to answer for it the next few weeks. That’s all. Speaking from experience.
So there are many factors, depends on what you are trying to achieve. Your priorities and needs could be different
I love my 650 because it actually gets 60mpg. 65mph is about 5000-5500 rpm. That’s nice.
The 250 was 65mpg but 9000rpm or about @ 65mph. Very hard to commute with.
The 650 is literally 2 or 3x faster acceleration. Max speed of 130mph, so still not super sport speeds (150+)
The ninja 250 was also $110 for 1 year of insurance. The 650 is full coverage and over $1000/ year. Considerations.
My main point about the bikes is YOU are going to be the limitation so live with something you will either be most responsible on, or can be okay with making a mistake on. I think that’s important
My uncle told me not to get a crotch rocket until I was at least 26, because otherwise, statistically, I’d probably just hurt myself bad. So I’d follow that soundly as well. Wait until you’re off your parents insurance.
Been riding dirk bikes for years ,started on a 125 honda 2 stroke ,then a honda 250 crf. Then went to a s1000RR and ive never been happier but theres some main rules you need to know before you get on a litre bike ,never throttle the bike around corners , drive like your invisible to everyone else around you ,dont hit it full on main roads with traffic and open the bike up on long straights when there isnt much traffic. Be humble when riding, being wild isntje quickest way to die or ne seriously injured
Mto7 my dream bike
The R6 is the most dangerous of the 600s, doesn't come with a stabilizer.
Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki all come with a stock stabilizer.
The safest bike for a beginner is the one they are scared of. The will be more careful and cautious on the throttle.
I started on a gsxr 600 no problems at all
What about zx4rr
How do you leave out the immortal SV650? lol
People need to stop pretending that 400s aren’t fast and are plenty of fun. Not even just a perfect beginner bike they’re just good bikes
Depends my first” bike” was 2018 GSX-r1000…. That was my first street bike. (Dirt biking since I was 9) 😂😂😂
literally got the biggest smile when homie said the Mt07
Yamaha mt-O9
I got a Yz 250f dirt bike in highschool, and I've had an 1100 Yamaha V Star for about 5 years now.
I've never had a sport bike, but I really want to get one. After looking at bikes in the 600 range, I'm currently feeling the Cbr650r.
Does that seem like a big enough size drop for a first sport bike?
I wanted to get a Suzuki gsx s 750
Gsx750 lmk boyz
I started on a gs 500. Pretty good starter bike honestly.
