Truly grateful for the perspective and advice I got from y’all on my last post, much appreciated! I’m currently three weeks into road biking and building my cardio from absolute scratch. Over the last three weeks I’ve been specifically focusing on miles ridden and my average mph as opposed to total time on the saddle. Boy have I been selling myself short this whole time.

For my last ride I focused on riding for an hour and a half at a slow steady pace. I was able to knock out 17+ miles!!! I genuinely didn’t think I had it in me to ride such a distance with my current conditioning but I proved myself wrong by shifting my focus. My next short term goal is a two hour ride.

I’m currently down from 238.8lbs to 232.8lbs in 21 days thanks to cycling and eating cleaner. I still have 32.8lbs left to burn off, may the miles continue!
