These type of bikes are apparently very popular in the Netherlands/Belgium with teens.
We call them “kinderbrommer” meaning something along the line of kiddy motorbike.

Yeah, you reach speeds with an e-bike that you would not reach on a normal bike, but you dont get the experience you get when you naturally progress to that speed.
I often had scary situations with older people that just started riding e-bikes, they are completely unaware of how fast they are …
