Day 14 of cycle touring through Italy 🚲🇮🇹. I woke up in a park where I’d camped, rolled out into the beautiful countryside, and then hit some unexpected roadworks that forced me to turn back. Not ideal — but that’s bike touring: you adapt, keep moving, and make the most of the ride.
By evening, I found a quiet spot to rest and enjoy the simple moments that make this budget journey special. Every day brings a new challenge, and every challenge becomes part of the story.

Well, that’s not helpful. Italy on a budget. What do you think, guys? Living the dream, huh? Today started off a little wet, but I was still in high spirits. I would be passing through more beautiful Italian countryside, but it wasn’t going to be all smooth sailing. No, no access. They’re doing road works. It could be a 10 km detour. I found a dirt road that allowed me to pass through without losing too much time and I was back on my route. Right, I made it to what’s going to be my campsite for the night. It’s been a really, really quiet day on the road. Really nice Italian countryside. Please drop me a follow so you don’t miss out on the rest of the adventure. Let’s go.

Is camping your version of living the dream — or just a means to an end?
