This week I hit 10,000 miles on my vintage Rockhopper! I got this bike in original condition as a trade for a bike I got for $40. Little did I know it would become my main mode of transportation. 3 or 4 full service tune ups and upgrades later, I’ve got a fully modified certified ripper! Riding all 4 seasons here in Michigan. The only original parts are the bottom bracket and the left shifter 😂. I’ve learned a lot over these last few years and I’d do it again if I had the chance. Thank you r/bikecommuting for all your help and inspiration.
