The gear shift fell off my Trek Dual Sport 4. I would like to avoid paying for a repair if possible. Can anyone tell me if I can DIY this and if so, how?

It looks like something’s snapped off inside the lever itself. You might be able to work some magic with some super glue and some more expertise help, I just know for certain those shimano shift/brake levers are very cheap, so don’t panic if you can’t fix it.
