I want to move away from wearing latex on the outside, instead moving to a more modest padded liner and trousers. I’m planning on using them in hot weather, and I haven’t found a suitable pair of trousers. Before you ask why trousers and not shorts: sun protection without the gross sun cream.

I have mostly settled on these bib liners from Endura, but I’m open to other suggestions.

I haven’t found trousers I like. I ride a lot in the 25-35C range, and I’m planning to tour North America where it can get even hotter further south. Most of the MTB trousers seem quite heavy duty, and would probably be too warm. I’ve looked at hiking trousers, but what concerns is the durability in areas like the saddle and knees, and getting caught in the chain.

These are my current top pick, but I’m not convinced enough to make the purchase. Anyone here tried them or something else?
