I finished building up this purple and pink specialized Hardrock ultra. From my research, it appears to be a 1993 frame. I went with multi colored cable housing and a 1×10 drivetrain. The original rear hub was 7 speed, so I upgraded it to a Deore LX so I could use a 10 speed cassette. The shifting is working pretty well now. I love how it rides and I took it from Jersey to Queens yesterday. All in, I spent about $500 in parts and the bike I picked up for $180. Hoping I will be able to ride many more miles on this bike!
