Looking for guidance on a sub $2k trail bike that can hit the occasional jump.

Scouring the internet these seem like the best deals. Hoping one of the cheaper deals is a fan favorite but willing to save up a bit longer if it’s that worth it. Sub $2k I can grab now, low $2k I can grab next pay check the $3k range would take a little bit.

If any are obvious ones to eliminate that would be helpful too.

Thanks

I had a similar budget and bought a used gt carbon sensor with upgraded wheels, fork and drivetrain. You could go with a new option and have warranty and less nice components or you can try to scope out some good used deals that will have upgrades. Up to you on the approach you want to take because the used market is very cheap rn

If you think King cyclesport is a real website, I can jump a 40 foot table top. Please verify the places you buy from are legit stores….

  3. Some of them are different sizes. Figure out the correct size for you from the respective manufacturers’ websites to narrow down the options. Overall, unless you can do most of your own work, I’d stick with Specialized and Giant due to their dealer network.

Well right now probably isn’t the best time to order a YT. The canyon spectral 125 is a rather specific bike made from a specific style of rider. It’s a super aggressive short travel bike. Not really made for hitting the jumps. I have one. I love mine. But I bought it for specific purposes. The regular spectral is a great middle of the road trail bike. The stump jumper 15 is a classic trail bike but at that price you’re not getting a very good spec. The stump jumper comp is a much better spec. That commencal is WAYYYYYY too much for a 6 year old bike. I’m not a huge fan of any of the giant bikes. In my opinion the giants are all really boring. I wouldn’t buy that used demo bike. For me I’d go with just the regular travel canyon spectral.

Trance advanced obviously, but uhhh narrow it down to 5 and I might pick a different one. I love that Commencal but it’s old. What’s your budget?

  7. Giant Trance Advanced Pro, if Small is the right size for you. Incredible deal and a really capable and fun frame design.

The Trance X is also a great option. Go try one at a local dealer.
