Bike: 2020 Stumpjumper Comp Carbon 27.5

What do you guys recommend for a new group set? I used to ride a lot of technical downhill, but now that I’m older I’ve chilled out a bit. These days it’s mostly cardio runs and intermediate single-track, with yearly trips out to Big Bear and Mammoth.

Was leaning towards the SRAM GX set but open to suggestions!!

Budget wise trying to stay around $500 – $700

Thanks in advanced!

  1. GX is solid and reliable. Not the best, not the worst. It won’t be as smooth and quick as XO or XX but it does its job well. Smack a derailleur and it’s durable enough to handle it, but also inexpensive to replace if needed.

Everyone I ride with is on GX. ^^^I ^^^ride ^^^alone

  2. GX is good. If you wanna save some dough get Deore. It’s fantastic for value. I think that bike precedes UDH derailleurs but if not sram eagle 90 would get my vote hands down.
