I just replaced the derailleur hanger after I stripped it and I also had a weird thing were my chain got stuck behind the cassette and everything on my bike jammed up and I cover all the nasty scraps etc with a paint marker automotive and now I think the derailer is bent how should I approach this thanks

You didn’t bend the frame or the derailleur, it’s the hanger. Replace it or bend it back outward.
Nah bro, its just the hanger. They’re made to bend. I’d take it to a shop to get it bent back though if you’re not sure what you’re doing
Thank god for hangers. Whatever bent it, would have permanently damaged your frame or derailleur.
A bike shop will charge about $20 to bend it back, the tool costs around $20 and a new hanger will cost around $20… I just realized that this is one thing that costs about the same however you decide to fix it. My advice is to buy the tool and learn to do it yourself, it is not difficult at all.
replace the hanger, minimal cost and not fidgety as bending it back
