So I got a heavy duty rack cause ei plan to haul a lot of stuff. But the frame I'm building around has round dropouts and not flush like my last one.

For your reference my old vs new frame: https://imgur.com/a/5jiSWAT

Will I face any issues to mount the rack on the new eyelets or is it a simple straight process? Do I maybe need some adaptors to make the rack more flush and thus sturdy?

  1. The bolt you use will bear the weight from the rack, regardless if the rack sits flush with the frame or not. Make sure you use a robust bolt, and you should be good.

  2. just fitted one on a frame like your new one. just bolted straight on with a little encouragement and its survived 40km with 5kg on it so far

if the bolts that come with it have locktite on, try treading a bottle cage bolt through it first, it looks like my frame had been painted without anything in the hole and i couldnt catch a thread. so i had to thread a bolt from the opposite side first to clear it out
