Hi all, I’ve been having heaps of fun with my Clydesdale fork since I converted my bike. Carried plenty of cargo so far and felt pretty good.

Carried roughly 40kg of fire wood home the other arvo and was alright! It got me thinking, has anyone got an idea for the actual load capacity on these things? I can’t seem to find any solid info.

If it helps, it’s supported by some cliffhanger rims.

Cheers!

40kg is a mighty load. I’ve carried a full 7 gallon water container on mine, which is about 26kg/60lbs.

The wheel and fork were fine, the load was secure, but handling was difficult when not just going in a straight line. It was like a sleigh ride.
