  1. Depending on the year, you could get a Rockshox Monarch Plus RC3 for it. But if that shock is still in working order I wouldn’t upgrade it.

  2. The bike is in great condition i think the color is disgusting though.. the model year is 2016.

  3. I remember the bike, my buddy had that exact one. It’s nice for its time, getting slightly dated now. You probably won’t get much if you sell it, but it won’t be cheap to upgrade either. I ride XL frames as well, can be a challenge to find used but they are out there.

If it was me I’d price out the cost to upgrade what you’d like to upgrade. A 1x drive train would be great, fork and shock would be on my list as well. Go to a shop and get them to find parts and prices. At the same time search for used I your area and see what that might cost you.

From there just decide if you want to spend on the used bike or buy parts for that one.

  4. Ride as is. If you’re crazy about biking a year or two from now upgrade. 1X and new shock might be nice but there’s no real driving need to do either. Just pedal it and enjoy. Save your money from not doing upgrades for a new to you used bike in the future.

  5. I have this exact bike and have a rockshox vivid coil on it and I use it as my park bike. It’s taken plenty of beatings and just keeps going. I also have a built wheel set based on dtswiss 350 hubs and spank spike hoops. Things are bulletproof.
