#MTBWorldCup
Time to go racing here in Lensor Haida. And off they go. Off the line is a strong start for Luca Martan. Swiss race getting underway. Just looking to see where Neo is going to get through the traffic, but it’s Luca Martan. Lucas Schwarz Punch leading the charge of the Elo starting it for the first time. Yeah, good start by Mazar as well. Charlie Aldridge good as well and start the second row, but he’s coming back through too. Yeah, the Pear stretching him out. He’s still free a breast. to a grass now at the front as they approach the top of the climb. And we’ll see an acceleration now just as these riders fight for position as four happy with position. They’re going to let Simon Andreas lead in the Red Bull energy section. Multiple lane choices through this descent. Andreas looking strong at the front. Then it’s Punchard. Then Martan, Caretsky, Guashi, Aldridge, Schwarzbar, Aaro, Matis Gay, Lucashati up in 10. Here we go down over this big horrible. Oh, Martan throwing the bike down. You can see Caretsky skating down one side of it. That man on your screen now. Cole Punch. We need to talk about him. What could have been in Leger? Under 20, but still an under 23 rider. Jumps up to elite category and he’s going to lead it through. I just wonder today, are we going to get the fireworks that we were promised in Chrome, Montana? As we see Luca Martan now trying to take on Victor Caretski. Cole Punchard just moved across. Caresi sticks the head into the shoulder of Cole Punchard. Here’s the two Canadel teammates just blocking the track a little bit. Resi not best pleased. The new generation are here and they don’t care. They’re not respecting the reputations of anyone out there. It’s still called Punchard who leads them. I can guarantee you Victor Caresky wants to get up the road. Got a word with him. Andreas now in fourth wheel behind this little lot. And it is fireworks here in Lenside just as we predicted it would be. Oh no, Christopher Blevens is in the tech feed zone with what looks like a rear wheel change and that is not the body language of a man who’s recently got off that bike either. Looks like he’s been there for some time. Blevens. Here we go up the climb. Punchard Martan alongside him. Martan takes it on now from Punard. Really nicely done from Canondale Factory Racing. Caretski and Bashi behind him and then it’s Andreas. Oh, Charlie Aldridge on clips and holds up and halfway in the process. [Music] He’s ahead of this climb. We get an aerial shot. It looks like Yeah, Caretski has got past Cole Pinard. I would like to see a replay of that cuz I guarantee you there wasn’t much in the bushes to be honest with you. Exactly. There won’t have been much grace given on that overtake, but maybe just a fire. Victor Careski will need allo as well. That team tactics may have just let that wheel go to Luca Martan. And Keski doesn’t want to get taken out the back. So good move by Kitki to squeeze pastard. Punch is now in the back. He’s got to try and close the gap. You see this great angle on the top of the climb. Yeah, what a shot that is. You can see just how hard coinard in third is having to work to cover things off. Here comes Bashi though. Bashi now elbowing his way past Princeard. Yeah, he breaks in past him as well. Yeah, I think Bashi just left a little bit on him on the way past there, but it’s the pressure. Luka Ma, you could see there not attack as much, but he just up the pace and he’s really throwing it into this descent. Mess with a specialized goal and you’ll get the horns. Caretski and Blushy through that descent to the right hand side. You get a great exit from that. We know that. Schwarzbar tip in the middle of the center. There’s Gini up to the tech feed zone now. Charlie Aldridge is cooling down the bottle. Just backing off a little bit as we see Cares the Resi to the front of the race. Victor Careski takes the lead and Lorra Haidider Charlie Al as well just working his way around the outside slotting into fifth position. Anyone in this group will be happy to be in this group, won’t they? I think especially around this circuit, it’s a difficult start and a lot of single track. So the first job is to make the front group have no incidents or problems. This is the first time we’re seeing Victor Caretsky leading into this climb. And here comes Andreas though. Andreas around the right hand side of Luca Martan looking to slot into second place. Martan sticks an elbow out and shows him the verge. Tell you what, they’re not scared these youngsters, are they? Alan Happily riding really smart. You see Caretski Pushard Martin getting involved in all this bit of elbowing and really taking the race on. Happily just slowly slid through these first couple of laps. It’s It’s Bashi. Bashi in the lead now. Caretski all of a sudden in trouble and the rear tires come off the bike. Victor Caretsky in all kinds of drama. Another mechanical here in 2025 for the Frenchman. Tire wrapped in around the gears. The bike is going absolutely nowhere. Victor Caretski. Meanwhile though, Adrien Bosi leads in Lindsay. Luka Martan just pulled right there. Surely Adrian Bashi away. Adrian Bosi just pulled over looking for Luca Martan to take it on. But both riders just having to skid down the descent on a broken rim. The freshly recowned UCI cross country short track world champion Victor Keski. I think while she wants someone else to have a turn here. Oh, and who is it down the right hand side? It’s Alan Haffley all of a sudden the UCI cross country Olympic world champion takes to the front of the race in Lensor Haidider. Alan Hley leads Adrien Bashi. And now, now he’s going. Now he’s attacking. We know we know this man can win them from deep. Alan Hley on lap four out of eight here in Lenser is attacking Adrien Bli in the front of this race. 174 beats per minute deep into the red zone for Luca Martan from Candal Factory Racing on the whoop life and we know how strong Happily is how well he’s climbing winning worlds last week smashing the field to bits on the climbs and we see Adrian Bashi just like you can see squealing to hold the wheel of happily and the gaps are appearing all over the place now. Ollie, was that a slight bit of naivity maybe from Washi? Look at him go. Look at Hley go. Smells blood in the water here. Alan Herley. Look at the blue. Washi can follow Alan Herley here from Giant Factory Offroad. There’s Nino Sher still in this group still around the mid20s. 21st now for Nino. So making a few spots. Halfly up the top of the climb. Wow, that was some attack. And where’s Adrien Bashi? There he is. And he keeps on attacking happily. And we’re remembered only the last time we’re going to see this man at the UCI World Cups this season before he heads back to the road. And what an impression he’s making. Former overall title holder. So Brashi tried to go happily suffered a bit as a result. And then it’s Charlie Aldridge, Andreas, and Martan. Yeah, the young team are given cheers. We look at Simeto the pain face. Chhatti for Beex’s performance behind him called Puncharti just moving past Luka Martan towards the back of this group. Yeah, Martan and Punar both seem to be suffering after that high initial persetto as well sixth position. Punch now seventh eighth now 20 seconds off. Look at half still has the energy to look over his shoulder and see an empty racetrack behind him. Still 16 seconds back to the man in second place. Charlie Aldridge at the base of this climb. There’s the battle for second. Charlie Aldridge leads him in LC feed zone. Hit a Simon Andreas and Adrien Bashi. Simony Aventto for Will Victoria at the back of this group. Luca Martan struggling to stay in touch with them, but it’s not over yet. Fresh gives the battle for second place. The bell. Aldridge leads him across the line on the last lap. Look at Hley still out of the saddle at 1 minute 11. Now he’s not slowing down, are he? Not at all. The gap going out that last lap. Another nine sub 9 minute 859. That second group 914 from Aldridge. So another 15 seconds on that lap. There’s a chasing group. second place. Third place likely to come from this quartet. Aldridge leading the way for Candale Factory Racing. Then it’s Andreas from Orbea Fox. Washi from Specialized Factory Racing. Aandero from Willier Victoria in one hair pin back. Cole Punchard and Martin Vidare as well. So they’re finishing strong. Shortter waving to the crowd on the way up the final climb. 20th position as well for the goat at the moment. Yeah, Andreas is past Aldridge now in the battle for second place. He’s going to come down to the wire between his group of four. See how Billy just so smooth carving through these BMS like he’s on a sighting lap. Little look down at the bike there. Little look down at the bike again from Alan Herly. Alan Haley may be in trouble here. Aldridge is breaking away from Andreas and Bashi on the last lap for second place. Bashi trying to get past Andreas now. Drama late in the day here in Lenser and I think he’s off. He’s off the bike. Alan Hley’s chains off. There are problems with that giant of Alan Hley. The mechanics rush to him. Get him back on. What happened there? And I think looking back I think Andreas has a flat as well. I saw Blashy coming past him to freewheel now. Is it maybe just out of sync from where it thinks it is? He’s off again. Alan Hley in mechanical trouble almost inside of the line here in Lens on the very last lap having been metronomic perfection. Oh race long Alan Halfley. Can he get this giant to the line? And behind it was Aldriu attacking and then I think it’s Andreas who has a flap. Huge huge drama here. So late in the day Alan Hley has no choice but to plow on. Looks like he’s maybe not moving again. Looks down again. The gap is still a minute behind him. So some distance off, but Alan Happily is going to be rewarded with his third UCI cross country Olympic World Cup win. Oh my goodness. That will spike the heart rate right at the finish. Look at the crowds. What a performance from Alan Half. Aldridge has broken away from that group. Charlie Aldridge is going to get second place. Charlie Aldridge trails his way across the line. That goes to 32. And it’s Adrian Bashi in third. Washi in third. Andreas. So we saw him on that last piece of single track struggling and brushy moving past him at speed. So the African continent’s 30th elite UCI World Cup win comes courtesy of Alhafari beating Pushard across the line for fifth. There’s Andreas seventh in the end. bear witness to the ending of one of the greatest of all times careers. 10 UCI World Championship titles, nine UCI World Cup overall titles, 36 individual World Cup wins, one Olympic gold, only one Nino Sher, the greatest there has ever been, maybe the greatest there ever will be. Whatever happens next, thank you, Nino. What a career. What a rider. What a man. [Applause] Mountain biking has never seen anything like this. It’s never seen a rider like Nino Shorter. It’s better than I could ever imagine. I can’t describe it. It’s uh it’s so nice to see that I was able to to touch so many people through my career and uh yeah, it’s it’s so nice. It’s what always pushed me to to to go harder. It was nice to feel it once once for a last time. Onto the top step. Last time we’re going to see him this year. Signs off in some style. Josh, could you imagine the stress in the tech zone? Oh my gosh. Into a climb into the woods. Adam Halley takes the win from Charlie Aldridge and Adrien Blushy [Applause] here. Congratulations.

The sport will miss N1NO.
I cant understand how UCI video quality is SO BAD in 2025. Shame on Warner and the UCI.
Don't whistle, referee, because we're going to lose it.
