I’m trying to buy this cannondale Synapse from someone and I’m trying to find a little bit more research on this bike. I don’t know the year or model and what would be a good fair price point? I was told it was purchased in 2017 or 2018.

By 17 Sora has under bar tape routing for the shift cables. If I recall correctly the changeover happened in 15 or 16. So the bike needs to be earlier than that. What is the asking price?

New it was under $1k, I’d offer 350, maybe 400 if it’s in really good condition.
Also whoever owns it is way too short for that frame size. So you will need to be much taller than the current owner to fit this bike correctly. If you want to test ride it get them to put the bars in a more natural position(hoods should not be pointing up like this) , saddle should be higher than the stem, if you also need it this low to fit you then it’s too big.
