I’ve got a 65km bike commute through beautiful country and I’d like to be able to do it on my best bike sometimes.
The rack is old man mountain elk horn. All the weight is on the thru axle (Robert axle project). Was pricey but it’ll be nice when if I want to use this bike for bike packing.
For security I will 100% be keeping it inside my office at work.
Looking forward to Tuesday when I work in the office!

65km each way? Easier just moving house lad
Tailfin rack would be better – it is designed for road bikes (including carbon ones) and is better optimized for aerodynamics.
And, personally, I think commuting on a carbon bike is akin to driving to a grocery store in a Lamborgini.
