Good morning. Good morning. It’s the day after the sportive and I’m feeling spritly. My cold has gone. Sorry. I’m really happy because it’s the first day in about 5 days I’ve woken up and I can breathe and I don’t have a feel of popcorn lungs. So, I’m really happy. But basically, it’s day three in Spain with CAMS and Accent Management Service. Best crew ever. Um, they helped me out when I was hit by a car. Now I’m an ambassador for them. We’re here in Spain. Did the Connidor sportive yesterday. Still got the number on my bike. And today the plan is it’s 8:27 which is late for me for breakfast. We’re going to go down for breakfast. 10:00 a.m. We’re riding apparently little ride to a seafront cafe bar. Then ride again, lunch, ride home. Doing about maybe 40 miles. So nice easy recovery ride. Kylie on the other hand, I don’t know what this outfit is. Kyle, what are those? What’s up with What’s happening here? What? That does not go with that color. What? The blue and the yellow. I don’t think it matches. Well, the gray and the yellow is very hard to It’s okay. We’re only going for buffet breakfast. I’m only joking. No, I’m joking. I’m joking. And oh, we didn’t say this in the YouTube yesterday, but Kyle submitted his name as Kyle DS for director to sportive because we actually entered the sportive when I was doing my tour to France challenge and he was my DS there, weren’t you? was still Why, Kyle? Why is all your stuff all over the sofa? Cuz I want to That really stresses me out. Why have you just Oh jeez. Right. Come on. Let’s go for breakfast. I’m not I’m not taking the camera to breakfast cuz no one you be you. Oh, stop it. No one needs to see Kyle destroy the buffet because it’s enough to put you off your breakfast to be honest. Yesterday. Yeah. It’s a beautiful hotel. coffee hotel. Yesterday I was a bit upset how long it took to get coffee. You had to queue for about That’s But let’s not complain about that. That’s ridiculous. Come on. It’s a privilege to be here and you’re complaining about how long you have to. Some people don’t even have coffee. It’s ride time. The crew are here. Ed’s over there. Thankfully, we’re just doing a nice recovery ride today. So hopefully not too fast. It’s going to be 30°. Bit hot for me. Sibbo’s coming, the one and only. He’s actually was meant to be having a massage this morning, but he’s moved his massage just so he can come on the ride. Ed, you all right over there? Ready to go. Ready to roll. Somebody says you’re going to leave at 10:00. I expected people to leave at 10. No. Yeah. The confusion I have. I’ve started to learn that it doesn’t work like that now. British sighting now. Just B 10. You’d be You’d be back by now, wouldn’t you? Yeah. P45. 10:05. P45 done. Can I have a debrief from yesterday? How did your ride go? Oh, amazing. I love it. It was hard work and uh took me a good 45 minutes in a cold bath to start like stop blacking out basically. But yeah, that was great. I loved it, didn’t you? No, I had such a good time with mate Jesse. It was just wild up there. It felt like a proper race and now you stop at the feeds and get your bottles. Proper Carnage. The descents are amazing. Climbs are awful and hot, but something beautiful about just going flat out and hearing your heart rate banging in your head a little bit. And yeah, I love it. Yeah. Yeah. I I I felt like that too, to be honest. But I wasn’t going as fast as you. We all hurt the same. I was telling Jess yesterday, he would have been proud of me with like a few of me attacks at the end. Got a bit of a taste of the racing lifestyle and I really enjoyed it. I was playing playing a bit of cat and mouse with some Spanish lads. Oh yeah. They fell out of me at the end. Yeah. And I was off the back because I had to leave him to go back to Amy and they weren’t very happy. Came back for me like true love. Champion. There’s always one that’s late, isn’t there? Oh, thank you. Yeah, that’s making noise. Everyone waiting, boy. Don’t you mind us? Oh, hang on. We’re going. Everyone’s going. See you guys. Right, we’re going. Apparently where you’re going. Don’t have a clue. We’re following the group. Right, we’re about to start the ride. A quick stop at the shop for people to get water, but unfortunately you can’t you can’t hold you can’t hold your your brakes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Unfortunately, I’ve had a flyby issue. So, I don’t know if you get close with these bad boys. I don’t think the people want to see that, but it’s really, really itchy and they don’t sell fly cream, but everyone at the hotel’s got some. So, I’m going to I’m going to survive the ride with them and then put it on when I get back. They’re so itchy. It’s horrible. I’ve got two boils growing up. Two extra knees growing down here. Right, we’re on the climb. Got 750 ft left. 2.5 miles. 750 ft. Kyle’s not got his Garmin because he forgot his Garmin mount. He’s got it in his back pocket. Kyle, you’re a What? Kyle, you’re I don’t know why it’s called kite. It must be a placeable at the top with mongoose. Yeah. Not seen any mongoose. So, we’re just spinning up nice and easy cuz it’s recovery. So, we’ve got on the front pulling as well. Yeah, Domestics’s on the front. Simo’s on the front, actually. Got the big men. Simo’s doing the big pull. Setting the pace. Simo, are you regretting? Are you regretting changing your massage now? He’s getting ready for grinding me. Yeah, the mass series isn’t. That’s true. Kyle’s off like a whippet. Got some breakaways for me. So, I thought, you know, I’ll go for it. Now I’m regretting it. So, I’ve slowed down again. Oh, jeez. Oh, look at this. Stunning. Oh, it’s beautiful. Great. It’s warm. It’s hot. It’s such a beautiful climb. So nice. It’s gorgeous. We made it to the top and as you can see from our face, the sweat is dripping. It’s very hot and humid. Kyle’s having a we as usual. How did you find the time, fellas? Loved it. Yeah, absolutely loved it. A bit warm today though. Very close. It’s like 30° out here. [Music] Chris, how’d you find that? Recovery pace was it? I’m not a climber. I still So much for recovery. This is [Music] all kind of stuff. Right, we’re 18 mil in and it’s cafe time. Simo Simo’s daddy’s on the ride. Simo cancelled his massage for this sweat. Hasn’t can it? Oh no, he’s got one later on instead. Don’t mind if I do. Fruit lemonade. Kyle on the other hand has gone for a chocolate milkshake. Winner winner of chocolate mammoth or dice? No. Have dairy in it. Kyle’s milkshake brings all the girls to the thick. It’s not thick. She looks thick. It’s really ice. That’s ice. Ice. Oh, yeah. It’s really good. Ice ice baby. Just thinking all the songs are coming to bed right now. Right. Drinks are in. We’re ready to roll again. Kyle, how you feeling? Feeling good. Feeling happy. Really good mood today. Now, I believe we’re going somewhere now for lunch. So, it’s day of cafes. Really? I’m here for it. Oh, the dog eating off the table. And my knees are not good. Look at this flower bites. And I’ve got one under here as well. And that’s really it. Probably don’t want to see that. Sorry if you’re eating your dinner. It’s just so itchy. It’s horrible. Stopping. Oh, no. We’re not. Right, Simo. So, the the descent that we came down before the cafe, we’ve now got to go back up. Oh, I don’t I don’t want this, Amy. Honestly, I don’t. My old bones. I just want to be back at the hotel. Yeah. Lying by the pool. Unfortunately, Simo, you got no choice. What goes up must come down, Amy. Exactly. We’ll have a free wheel the other side. Back up the 1.3 mi, 566 ft. More like Mong know at the minute. Please. So hot. Sweating from places I didn’t know existed right now. We are taking it steady for this one. Kyle’s behaving. We’re mongoing up. We’re mongering down. We’re shaking my tushi. You had more traction on those tires, aren’t you? How you feeling? It’s amazing. Amazing. Yeah. Still breathing. Another 100k in me. Wow. [Music] Oh, lunch stop. Oh, maybe not. No. Yes. Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. I’ve got my helmet off for once because that shows how hot it is. And we ate our salad without video in it. Say there’s the remnants. Kyle had a salad. I was in What’s happened to you? Pe. Oh, it’s nice here. Where actually are we? Uh, Da. Da. Right. Da Port Har. I always just ride. Oh, it says it on there. Actually, Marina. I normally just ride along, not really knowing where I am. Just taking it in. That’s the best way. Or ice cream. Could have had a sorbet. That would have gone down the street. Actually, your lemonade earlier. Oh, passion fruit lemonade. You were jealous of that, weren’t you? I was. I was very jealous of that. Also, you were jealous, too. I was very jealous. See, the thing is, I scanned the menu and then it came up on there and I thought, right, guys. Yeah. Nice and relaxing with me. That is what you need. Oh, Kyle had the ice cream milkshake. Simo’s on a mission to get back in time for his massage. I am. Yes. [Applause] Right, we’re back from the ride. Got back a few hours ago. And it started raining, so I thought, “Oh, it’s got a run because it’s been really hot and I need to do a run.” Hail the size of this, the size of my eyeball. I had to shelter behind a tree for about 5 minutes. I was meant to do an hour. I did 40 minutes. I thought, “Hell to the no.” Stood behind a tree for 5 minutes getting pummeled. This Spanish man stopped, put his window down to check I was okay. I said, “Yeah, see.” But I wasn’t. And all the roads are flooded. I wore my nice road running trainers and they’re absolutely drench. should have worn me with trail runners. So, the moral of the story is don’t go on a run in a Spanish storm because that’s serious. Honestly, Kyle, it was blowing that much. I couldn’t even walk. I know it it’s stopped raining now. I couldn’t even run in a straight line. The wind was that horizontal random hail. They was literally blowing me to the side of the road. I thought I was I didn’t know what I was going to do. But I literally was running like that because I thought if if a hail stone hits me in the eye, it’s going to blind me for I’m not joking. We had to hide behind Do you know the bar bit? Yeah. We had to run around the back, hide behind some palm trees cuz everything was flying across the bridge. What did you think about me out there running? I was worried. So I kept ringing you. Kept ringing me, but I couldn’t answer cuz because my phone was so wet, I couldn’t even do it. I couldn’t even answer or ring you or anything. But I’m okay. I’m going to have a shower, warm up, and then I’ll do the ride. I’ll do the ride stats from today. Then go to the pool. It’s probably stopped raining now. This is what storms literally It literally It lasted the whole run. I was I was getting pummeled. No, no, when you started off running, it was raining. Yeah, it was nice. Well, it wasn’t that bad. And then I was meant to do an hour and I thought I’ve just got to go back. That was just 15 minutes of absolute obliteration. But it was quite freeing. I This man went past me on a moped and went, “Hey.” And I went, “Hey,” like that back to him. And there’s some people on bikes. I was going like that to them. They weren’t in the hail. I think they would have fallen off if they were in the hail. Jeez, I’ve never experienced wind and hail like that before. But it was quite free and I feel really alive now. So maybe I should do it more often if I’m in a bad mood. Oh my god. Like golf balls. Don’t know if you can see that on the camera, but Jesus. All them white bits are pale. Right, I’ve freshened up ride stats from today, which is 37.72 miles. buming the saddle for 2 hours 24 minutes 33 seconds. Went up 1,461 ft. So, actually quite a flat one really. And 15.7 m an hour. And I tell you one thing, I’m hungry with Capital H. And it’s time to go out for dinner. So, without further ado, it’s time to say goodbye to you lovely people watching. Go and fill my stomach with carbs. Actually, we’ve got a three course dinner tonight. And I’ve ordered hummus with vegetables to start, sea bass for a main, and a trio of sorbet or as I like to say, sorbet for dessert. And I’m embracing the curly look tonight because I’m tired. And I feel like my hair has had enough heat damage yesterday so it doesn’t need the straighteners on it as well. Anyway, Kyle, anything to add? Let’s get it. Uh, where was the key? Oh, don’t start this again. Trusty Pinterella purse. Purse. Wallet. my wallets. Okay, lovely. Right, thank you so much for watching. Thanks, Cams, for having us. We’ll see you tomorrow because tomorrow we’re doing a longer ride with the rest of the crew. So, anyway, we’re sat on a table with Bradley Wiggins tonight, Kyle. So, you better be on your best behavior, please. Got to make a good impression. Right. Thanks so much for watching. T the FN. Tata for now. Goodbye. Oh, no, sorry. Adios. Adios.

  1. 1) it’s Montgo as it stems from Roman times
    2) it’s nicknamed “elephant mountain” as it looks like an elephant 5:58
    3) next time in spain go to the supermarket and buy Baby water Nenuco Aqua de Colonia (smalls lovely) spread all over bare skin. Works for me. Available in all supermarkets . Low cost mossie repellant

  2. Mongo is a mountain, my partner's family owned the first villa on that mountain side, there's dozens there now x we climbed to the top a few years ago

  3. Hello again, Amy and Kyle. Great to see you so full of beans in the morning Amy. Great ride again, and nice views of the seanery. Kyle's milkshake looked good. We had a hail storm in Melbourne a few years ago, and it smashed our car windscreen, put holes through it and dented all the bodywork. The car was written off.The hail was the size of tennis balls. Thanks for the great content, keep enjoying life, always happy to hear from you. Take care, you are a hill climbing machine, Amy . All the best, Tim ❤.
