Can't wait to see the aggrieved comments this thing garners! Personally excited as I worked on the bag with Topo Designs and think it came out great (I don't have a stake in this at all other than having been a contractor for Topo)! Haven't ridden the bike but had it sitting in my house for months during development, love that designers keep pushing the limits of reason and expectations even if the bike isn't for you.

The rack is idiotic. You won’t find service parts are support for it in 10 years and if that doesn’t matter than neither does filling up landfills with bikes that can’t be ridden because they can’t be serviced.
Bikes in the past could trickle down and essentially live forever, modern bikes are designed to end up in a landfill.
Other than that I love the concept. Trek has put out some cool bikepacking and adventure bikes. The Farley, the 1120, and this. All up my alley, but proprietary designs that lead to forced obsolescence are terrible designs
People are so damn predictably negative when something new comes out and I have no doubt this will get some hate. I love to see new designs pushing boundaries and trying something new. I’d be very curious to try this and compare it to my Diverge STR which I’ve spent several years and thousands of miles riding.
That’s quite a bit of weight penalty for 60/55mm of suspension…
Was Savethepostalservice part of the design of the color scheme?
