The idea to order the frame from Waltly came to me after I saw A-Frame cycles track bike. I just loved the look of the bike and have to say kudos for all Anthony's work on this project. Being 6'6 (198 sm) tall I wanted the geometry that suits me the best. I wanted longer top tube but not so big head tube for more aero position. So I went with ett – 613 mm, st (c. to edge)- 620 mm, ht – 195 mm, st and ht angles – 75°, bb drop – 48 mm, chainstays – 390 mm (for easier tire clearance). I chose the same tube's diameters and asked about all the details as to top tube and down tube ends being slightly ovalized where they meet seat tube and bottom bracket When it comes to the finish I decided to go simply with brushed frame because I just like the look of raw titanium.
Got my frame last Saturday and I was impressed with Waltly's job. It was exactly what I expected and approved at the drawing. The weight of the frame with seatpost clamp was 1731 grams and together with A-Frame carbon fork and headset it made 2136 grams. That's fairly good weight for this size I quess.
One more good thing is the frame clears 32 mm tire at the chainstays easily. I'm pretty sure it will clear even 35 mm. At the moment riding on 28 mm tires. After just four days of riding the bike I just love everything about it and could not be happier. It feels great and it looks like there's something about titanium when it comes to smoothen the ride on not so good surface. The frame with these oversized tubes is pretty stiff but still pretty comfy. So I hope to see more titanium bikes on the road;).

  1. Wow that’s a long head tube, I’m happy for you that you could get something like this made!

Seems like you would be cramped on most mass produced frames tbh, is that your experience in the past?

Looks awesome by the way, nothing as fast as a bike that fits its rider
