The ENGWE Engine Pro 3.0 Boost is a U.K. and E.U. legal E-bike. Following in the tradition of the Engwe Engine Pro and the Engwe Engine Pro 2.0, the Engine Pro 3.0 has been massively upgraded. From a new frame design, torque sensor and boost button, spoked wheels, a new quick release front wheel, street tyres, external battery with Samsung cells, new geometry and a completely new multi link suspension system, the new version of the Engine Pro has been completely rebuilt from the ground up.
But what does it ride like? Does the fact that it’s been made U.K. and E.U. Legal Clip its wings a bit or does that 90nm claim make up for it?
Let’s find out.

Here it is in all its glory, the new Enu Engine Pro 3.0. So, we’re going to get into look into what’s changed. So, let’s start with the more obvious stuff. This whole four pin suspension has been completely worked out and changed. In fact, the thickness, you can see the thickness of that there, and I’ll measure that and put the size of it on the screen, but it’s a far thicker, but it’s a far thicker arm than was on previous Pro versions. We’re now on spoked wheels, and they’re now wrapped in Cheryang road tires, which I actually really like these. I really do. It’s more fitting to the bike to be fair because let’s be honest, how often do you go off road? And these are perfect for the road. I’ve ridden around and done it a test and they’re absolutely perfect. Big chain ring. It’s a sevenspeed. So, it’s a seven-speed cassette with a new updated Tory derailer. We’ve got a new way of fitting the rack, which is now fitted by pins on the side instead of on top. Another view there of gears. Mid suspension there. Spring again. And we’ve got lock and unlock forks. And they’re either on or off, but they do seem a little bit better than on previous versions. Plastic. Finally, plastic mud guards front and rear. That’s a big welcome from me. While aluminium’s more premium, you know, these are a better fit for this sort of bike. Cherryang Hippo skin 3 mm. And finally, the battery on the outside. Easy access. And you no longer need to keep the key in, which is brilliant. Yeah, there’s an onoff button for the battery in there. Key goes in there for removal. And finally, a port that fits. So, you know, you’re not struggling around with that rubber bung anymore. You can actually me get in there. In there, there’s your charge port there. Fast charging quite charges from empty to full in about 2 hours. Don’t know if you can see the state of that machining around there, but that’s been milled as a finish. So, yeah, that’s a welcome improvement. You know, quality’s gone into this bike. The other thing is, can you spot any welding? The only place I can see any real weld mark is here. And that’s it. So, it’s all been polished before going a powder coat in. Looks like a new saddle design. And it is comfortable. It’s more comfortable than the other ones that I’ve used before. GPS system there. It’s also part of the alarm system. Get notification if this bike’s moved away from you. And this all works hand in hand with the Enuway app. We’ve also got a new design for the headlight which has a reflector on front. Very bright. And so is that rear light. It’s very bright. You can’t tell in this light, but it’s really, really bright. There’s a reflector built in underneath. And there is what I meant about being able to disconnect the rear light at the pins there instead of the controller. I really like this display. You know, it shows up really well even in bright light. It’s quite bright light out here today. But yeah, I like this display a lot. So, there’s that. It’s got a horn. Annoying horn, but it’s very loud. Sevenspeed trigger shift. My favorite. I prefer this to the tombstones that you see. Nice comfortable grips and the boost button there. Nice strong folding goose neck. Those log and copy brakes I like front and rear and they are brilliant brakes. I really like these. Your chain ring guard there to stop the chain coming off and metal pedals. Quick look at the brakes. Clamping onto 180 rotors front and rear. Again, different view of those plastic mug guards, which I really like. They don’t rattle. Nice solid kickstand there. And my favorite connector. It’s really solid. Is that closer look at this rear mech brake and the rear brake disc and again nice plastic rear fender which I prefer to the metal ones. I know I keep going over it but they don’t rattle. Closer view of the front suspension. And again, it’s an onoff affair, but it does feel a little bit more premium than the other sprung ones they’ve used in the past. One of those nice thick derailer guards. I like these. They’re nowhere near as flimsy as the older ones. Quick look at the motor. Says 250 W, but looking at the size of it, I doubt that very much. There’s your large button for fingers for size comparison. Large button control section there. you know, up and down for your pass in for your information. Horn on, off. And finally, quick release front wheel. A lot of you have been asking about how to do this, and now they have it on. Let’s have a closer look at this tire tread. Pretty good, actually. Folding class there that we see on other bikes. Pretty much the same thing. And another view of how thick Those arms are they’re about twice the thickness as the old ones. There’s your C conformity sticker there. So if you get pulled over by the police, folded stand there. Put the dimensions up on the screen now of what the folded sizes so you get a better idea. So, all in all, it’s a jump up from the Pro two, which was a jump up from the Pro one, and this just seems to be a different animal altogether. UK EU legal. There is no unlock code with this. So, if you want something you can unlock, buy the Pro 2. Don’t buy this. But this ridewise, we’ll come to in in the breakdown. Right. Still braking test to start off with. Should be able to see the speed on there. Coming up to 20 mph. Just a freewheel it down here. Now, these are the Logan copy brakes. Very similar to the Logan brakes that they had on the original. Yeah, that braking’s really good. Yeah, you can see it bolt stopping there. Yeah, really good. These are my favorite brakes. I prefer these to Tekro, pretty much any other brake on the planet, unless you’re going for a fourpot setup. But these are brilliant. They’ve always been good. I always love the original Logan’s and I’ve used Logan’s on other bikes. So, yeah, brilliant. Right, let’s go on with the air climb. Apparently 90 Newton meters of torque in this bike. So, let’s find out see how it does on the hillline. As usual, I’ve got it in pacifi cuz I’m trying to burn the battery out. And I’m currently in gear four. Actually, I’m clock that up to five. The torque sensor is pretty responsive. I kind of wish they’d have used the AI sensor that they put into the P275SE, but they decided to go down this route. It’s having no problems getting up here. I’m not putting in much effort. Yeah. Bottle. job as they say is a good and I’m just getting over a chest infection so yeah made it up here with no issues right there a lot going on with this bike. Let’s start with battery on the outside. About time. If you’ve ever had to open your bike to get the battery out, pain in the ass. Absolute pain in the ass. That’s gone out the window. What else is going on? Built-in live data GPS with an alarm system. That beautiful screen. Spoked wheels keep the weight down. All new frame geometry. I think they updated the saddle as well, which trust me, I’ve never liked anyway saddles, but this feels really comfortable. Samsung cells in that battery. Major upgrade. only seven speed this time round, but if you’re riding around in a fully legal state, you never you’re never ghost pedaling. Nice big buttons on here. I like those as well. So, yeah, that’s just some of the things going on with this bike. It’s got updated fourlink suspension, thicker than the old one, stronger, new headlight, new rear light. What’s it like to ride? Well, let’s go find out cuz so far it’s a doll. Right, we’re coming up to the Venill. If you’re new to the channel, I call it the Benel cuz it’s a bendy and it really sucks the life out of the battery. It’s steep. It’s bendy. In fact, it’s horrible. But let’s see how we get on. Let’s see how this bike gets on. Now, I believe the claim of the 90 Newton meters is only when you press the boost button. Um, but I had no problems not using the boost button. I deliberately didn’t use the boost button going up the hill climb. Obviously, a reason for that just to see if it could do it without one, and it did. effortlessly. Really, this is a different kind of hill. So, I’m in fourth gear now. Third. Let’s hit that boost button. You can hear it cutting. Can also see it sucking the battery mind using the boost button. But it’s to be expected. Extra torque takes extra power. See boost mode there. Look. Release the boost. Yeah, no problems. None whatsoever. It’s a cracking bike. This really is a cracking bike. I’m already liking it. These tires are very gummy. You can feel the uh the stickiness and you can hear the traction on the road. So, I can’t see him having any problems with the tire grip test. So, we’re going to come and do a partial little test. So, I stop at this green box here. I’m in third gear. So, let’s stop here. That suspension is really good for it’s not pneumatic and it’s only on off, but it’s you can see the play in it. Give a better demo of that later. So, we’re starting off in third gear. Pass five. Hit the boost button and we’re away. Oh, no problems whatsoever. And this is, as I mentioned before, quite a steep hill, but yeah, fourth, absolutely no issues. Let’s go get down. rough road cuz this is a rough road. So, I’ve got the suspension open so that there’s play in it. But as you can hear, no rattles whatsoever. This bike’s really quiet. So on that point, let’s go have a look around town. [Music] It’s a nice day. Only 14°, mind you. Winter’s coming. very nimble. Well, that’s a lot down to these slick tires. They’re designed for the road. It’s unlike the knobblies that I’m normally on. These are a far better option for riding around town. And looking at the grip on them, I think they’d be quite good at displacing water, too. Booze button. bit pace up. Yeah, I think you’re only getting that 90 Newton meters when you hit the boost button. But even regardless of that, you’re getting quite a bit of power. Let’s do the tire grip test. Where I’m going to come off, if you’re new to the channel, it’s going to be around here somewhere. Yeah, no problems and good brakes. So, yeah, very nimble bike this. You can feel how grippy those tires are as well alongside those really good brakes. Yeah, it’s worth it. It’s worth the change of tires really cuz we have to remember as most of us we’re rarely going off road with these things. We’re rarely even going on a gravel path. So this makes sense. You’re not going to get much better range out of it. Tried and tested various tires. 5% extra range maybe. But you do get really good grip because this is what they’re designed for. And I I welcome this Right, turn the pass off and you can actually pedal this with no power going through it in zero. Um, in fact, far easier than I thought it was going to be, but there’s no rolling real rolling resistance from those tires like there is on the knob. Pop it into one. Yeah, I feel a bit of help now. So I can pong the gears up a bit. Pop it into two. You can hear the motor cutting in a bit more. Look. So I’m drop the gears again. Three. Yeah. Four. There’s not a lot between three and four. And then there’s five. And then that takes us up to the limit in a bit. Hit the boost button. Bit more power. Look. So I’m now doing 17 1/2 mph on the flat, which is nice. But I’m not putting a lot of effort into this bike. Um, the old idea is that I don’t I want to see how far I can get burning that battery out in past 5. Is it comfortable? Oh, yes. You know, you I can feel the bounce of the bike while I’m riding it. It seems to absorb all the bumps without any noise. boost. Let me up the hill. Yeah, definitely night. Yeah, definitely 90 Newton meters. When you hit that boost button, you can feel the difference. Just rolling into one of my favorite spots. In fact, my favorite spot, the canal at Stanley. I love it down here. So, if you’re new to the channel, I come down here, you know, sort of one in three reviews that I do. And it’s just a lovely spot to be in. Yeah, you can definitely feel a difference in these tires. They’re just that little I say smoother. Fair bit of wind down here today. So, I don’t know if I’m going to pick any wind noise up, but I’ll try not to take it out and post if I possibly can. Yeah, for these tires, let’s talk about these are Chiao Yang. I’ve seen this pattern in other makes. Um, and my my view on Chiaang is they’re better than good enough. You know, there’s good enough or that I’ll do. Well, they’re better than that. They’re actually a good tire. And whereas I used to swap tires all the time, I’ve stopped doing it so much now because I’m just testing tires for different companies really out of my own pocket. But these these are better than good enough. And most of their tires are and I hear some of you complaining on some of the forums, oh they’re dog They’re this or that, the other. They’re not they’re all right. And if you you pay to upgrade your tires, you’re not getting much more in the mix really. You might get a more tested tread pattern, but all in all, it’s a tire. They’re important. They’re as important as brakes. They’re the most important two things on your bike, your tires and your brakes. Same with cars. I say this all the time to people. So, yeah. And I really like these tires. I really do. I really like how the this suspension absorbs the bumps. So this is what they’re like on gravel really. They’re quieter than the normal knobblies. I guess obviously there’s nothing to sort of spring the knobbles on. That’s where you get that popping sound from. But these are fine. I mean, I always recommended Kender Craze tires to everybody and they’re going, “Oh, no, they haven’t got the nobles on and everything else.” But they’re good tires and not that you’d need to. But if you want a slightly better tire, Kender Craze 204s, is it worth spending 100 quid or whatever it is for a pair of tires? Well, that’s down to you. So he’s let me come up. Cheers, dude. But yeah, this is about this about as grally as it gets. This is gravel. I’m not about big thick stones. And these tiles are fine on this. Another thing I’ve been nagging Enoy about for a long time now, and it’s my guards, fenders. You don’t need metal fenders on one of these. It might feel premium, but you don’t need them because they rattle. It doesn’t matter what make it. If you go over certain bumps, you’re just rattling. Plastic fenders don’t do that. They’re also lighter and cheaper, but they’re a better idea for these bikes. You’re not You don’t get it all. And what I mean by that is to design a metal fender that didn’t sort of rattle or squeak or anything else or go wrong. Time and investment in money. It It’s just uncalled for. You don’t need You don’t need metal fenders on these bikes. You want plastic ones because they I don’t know if you remember my N1 Pro review where I took I took the bike down to London. I took the fenders off. The reason being was I knew they’d end up rattling. Thank you. I knew they’d end up rattling and I I removed them before I went took them down on the review and I put them on. They did rattle. Um just proving my point. you might as well just put plastic fenders on. I know it’s less premium or it doesn’t feel premium, but it’s but it’s a better idea or it’s a better solution as a a fender for an ebike. Will it make it through the styles? These are quite wide handlebars really with the mirrors on does make it quite a bit wider. About to find out. Oh yeah. Make it through here. On days like these, you want to be out and about on these. It’s uh cracking bike to be around on. Yeah, you can definitely feel a difference when you’re you’ve hit that boost button. I mean, look. 17 12 18 mph on the flat. So that’s me putting my own, you know, wattage into it. Do you know this is enough for legal? This is enough. I really like the fact that they’ve made some changes that we all wanted. And this is all you need in a legal ebike. Every time I say illegal, it sounds illegal, doesn’t it? This is all you’ll ever need in a legal ebike. So, even though it’s still springs in the front suspension, in the mid suspension, it does feel a little bit more premium. I think they’ve found a happy balance. I’ve get today I’ve got even more kit me. So, about £250 on this bike. I think the legal well I think the limit’s £300, you know, I mean, if you’re a 300lb person, you’re not carrying anything. I think it’ll take well more than 300 lb. You ain’t going to get the range, but I’m talking a range. Let’s have a look. We’ve done 14 miles and we’ve hit in a third of the battery going up hills using the boost button in past 5. So the range is going to be well we’ll find out what the range is when we get back but I’m assuming it’s going to be something pretty impressive. Everything on this is buttery smooth. The brakes, there’s no noise from them. The gear changes are just brilliant. You know, I’ve got these nice big buttons over here. I keep going on about. That’s all you want. Don’t forget this isn’t an high-end mountain bike. I’m not, you know, going to try climbing a palin with it. It’s it’s an ebike. And it’s a throw in the back of your car, throw it in the back of your truck, ebike. You can go to places and then you can have a wander around on your ebike. Mini adventures, that’s what I call them. It’s fabulous. George Dyson. That’s a thing, isn’t it? Imagine living on that. Well, that’s a work. That’s a work barge. I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it, but you can’t see a weld on this bike. It’s really high-end finish. So, obviously the welds have been polished before going for powder coating. I do laugh when people on eBike reviews say, “Oh, the welds welds are really good.” How do you know? Well, they look thick. Well, that means nothing. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] We’ve done a done a fair bit of air climb So 18 19 miles and coming down to about 53%. I know the back end of a battery falls off a cliff. They always do. That’s the nature of lithium ion batteries. But if we get about 35 mi range out of this on the charge, the rate way I’ve been using it, that’s pretty good. That really is pretty good. Some of the hills you don’t see me coming up coming back from the canal and stuff, they’re quite long. It’s all uphill. But it’s all battery draining stuff. So I say half the time this bike’s been going uphill, especially on all my tests. Half the time the bikes are going uphill. And why is that important? Well, this is where you want the assist. You don’t really need it on the flat. You need it when you’re riding up hills. And this is why I do so many hill climbs with the bike. It’s important. Don’t matter how fast. Don’t don’t let anybody tell you all it matters at it could be a bike. Might be the fastest bike up any hill. But if it’s a bike, if it’s got no range, if it looks makes no difference. You’re not going to enjoy the bike. So yeah, hill climbs are important. They’re the most important thing about an ebike. They can’t climb hills. You might as well not bother. The whole idea is the pass helps you get up hills. It’s that simple. How fast it gets you there? Well, speed limit is 15 and 12 mph in the UK. So, you know, does it matter? That’s my thoughts on it. Anyway, I see Emily Moore from here. Then on a clear day, any high point in Yorkshire, you can see Emily Moore. You know, even coming up to the horrible hill is a hill. So, like I said, I don’t know many reviewers out there go to this much trouble to drain the batteries essentially because that gives you proper range, right? My least favorite, the horrible. See how it does up here. We’re down to 47% on the battery. Let’s uh hit that boost. I’m not going to be winning any land speed records coming up here, but we’ll see how well it does. Yeah, no problem. I wish they cut these edges back to be a cycle lane. Yeah, it’s going to make it up here with the boost button on. No problems whatsoever. I don’t know how the long the booze foot button lasts, but still on. Yeah, no issues as I come back up into town now and I’ve ridden 21 miles on this bike. It’s just so quiet and it’s so easy to ride. It’s definitely a joy to be on and it has a presence. That’s the other thing. It’s quite a big bike. It’s about the same size as all the other engine pros. It’s not small. The front end feels lighter. That’s probably cuz I haven’t got a battery in the middle of the bike. But yeah, so far so good. certain noises like over these mini cobbles. Nothing on nobly tires. You can always hear an audible change when you come onto here, but there’s no difference whatsoever from being on here or on the road. Thank you. [Music] Yeah, the the joy of the presence thing, it does make a difference. [Music] down. [Music] Baby down. [Music] [Music] This bike’s near enough perfect. It’s got a couple of half aer fleas that are bugging me though. And it’s not the bike. It’s more than what they could have done with the bike. The bike’s brilliant. It looks fabulous. I mean, that screen, I can see that in the brightest light. There’s no It’s just so bright. I mean, it probably buggy at night, but you can turn the brightness down. Automatically turns down when the lights go on anyway. So, but yeah, and it’s not slow either, you know. It it does the speed you want it to do. You don’t want to be one of the things with like these high power ebikes is that when you go out on them and you go, you know, you you’re speeding around, you get seen, the police see you, and next thing you know, or they’re moaning on Facebook that they’ve had the bike taken off and it’s just like, well, what did you expect? You know, this is far less obvious. And if you get pulled over, it’s legal. So, one of my big things is about confiscation anxiety. You don’t have that with this. It’s UK and EU legal. It’s got the tor sensor. It’s got the boost button. You know, gets you going quite quickly in traffic, up hills, whatever. You can just get going. Be quite sparing with the boost button cuz I don’t need it. Really don’t need it. You know, even on the hills, I don’t really need it. It’s It’s just a joy to be on. Even the saddle’s not as bad as what they usually are. I think saddles are a personal thing. And for me, I’d probably still swap this saddle out. But then here’s the thing. As bouncy as a suspension is, you can adjust. You can just add a suspension seat post on top and this makes it the Rolls-Royce because the front end’s fine. I don’t like this air suspension adjustable front and mid, but I don’t know. Already way they are for fleas. I just don’t know why they didn’t go the extra mile and put the price of the bike up maybe their price point again. They do tend to try and make the bikes reasonably affordable. And as I said before in previous videos, an extra £100 on an ebike with all the toys on won’t sell as much because people go, “Oh, it’s that it’s that it’s that price point that people won’t go beyond.” They’ve obviously looked at what the competition are charging. So, but they’re easy swap outs, you know, midshock, DNM, air shock, 80 quid, front suspension, and you you I mean, the way if you saw the turning circle on this, you want to keep that. And if you really feel the need to change the front suspension out, 200 quid, 150, 200 quid, No, I think you would. So, let’s go see what it’s like off-road. These tires are fine. They do remind me of the Kender Craze a little bit. I know. I know it’s a different tread pattern, but they do, you know, that grippy less resistance thing. It’s quite soggy on here to be honest. It’s We’ve had a really bad day of rain on Saturday. Really bad. And it’s still a bit wet underfoot, but it’s fine. You know, stuff tough bits you go through with your But it’s fine. Tough bits you go through. You hit the boost. button. Absolutely fine. Yeah, not an issue. So, how good’s the suspension? Well, the front gives quite a bit and I’ve had that unlocked all day and the rear, well, you know, it’s it’s quite well balanced really. Yeah. So, all in all, pretty good. So, here’s the thing. It’s so different to the Engine Pro 2 and the Engine Pro one, but still owns a lot of the characteristics of that bike that everybody loves. It’s just given more, you know, it’s just given people more things to love about the bike. It’s phenomenal little thing. Well, I say little. It’s about the same size as the old ones. Got to be careful. The conquers are out. So, I don’t really want to be riding over any of them. It’s all right, love. Come on. I just want to see your dog. Just a bit of a jaywalker to walk. That’s all right. Bikes and things around. I was like that Saturday night. Hello, baby. All over the place. You say hello to Been drinking already. Yeah. Hello. Just want to fuss, don’t you? Yeah. So, overall a fabulous ebike from top to bottom. Couple of bugs with it. Well, a couple of fleas with it, but I think I’ve already mentioned them, but I’ll go over them again. And it’s not fleas with the bike. this could have what they could have done with the bike and it grates on me a little bit that they didn’t. But, you know, when you’ve ridden as many of these things as I have, you kind of get a different understanding of what people want from one of these ebikes. But yeah, it’s no slouch. It feels nice over bumps. I think they got the suspension pretty right. I’ve heard no bumps from it and I’ve been over all sorts today. So overall a good job from Enu. Let’s have a look at it in the breakdown. I enjoyed making that video actually. I enjoyed the bike. So, the breakdown. First start off, let’s talk about that new frame design. It’s It’s only a couple of welds on the bike. Everything else has been polished off and it’s a bit of a cut above for Enu. Really is well put together. really good finishes to it. And that’s just not that’s not just the um welding, that’s also the paintwork. It the paintwork’s stunning. That black and blue I really do like. That’s why I asked for it. Fits in with my Batman aesthetic. Bit more in the black. Comes in black. The blue, black, and the green. Let’s talk about the ride. The ride was really good. I think they’ve updated the springs. in Mustard because the springs now in the midshock and the front shock, they feel different. They feel a bit firmer and they don’t bottom out. I’ I’ve come across these before at my weight, 240 lb plus, you know, whatever else I’m carrying on the bike. And while I was filming, it was up to 250 lb on that bike. And it it went over everything with ease. Display, I love the display. The display, even in the brightest light, is highly visible, which again, another bonus. On the point of the display, I’ve seen it before, but it it never fails to sort of make me smile when I look down at it. It’s not too big. It’s not one of these giant displays. It’s not too small that you can’t see it. The information button can click through different things and shows you everything you need to know on that screen while you’re riding it. The brakes are good. The brakes are brilliant. Um, Logan copies. Again, I’ve always liked these brakes. They’re better than high in Tekros and everything else that are two pot. The only way you’ll upgrade these brakes is add in four pots and you won’t need it. Those 180 rotors that the uh brakes can’t do. They’re brilliant, too. The brakes are just outstanding. The buttons are nice and large on the control buttons. They’re easy to use, very simple. All the horns. Quite loud but annoying. What else have we got going on? I welcome the spoked wheels and I also welcome these road tires because like I said in the video, most of us will rarely ever take these bikes off road and on gravel they’re absolutely fine. On the grass are absolutely fine. Like do remind me traction wise of the Kender Craze tires that I really really like. The folding goose neck that I’ve seen on other bikes is now solid in comparison with the Mark one. Here’s my Mark one here that I modified. And the MK 2 again, which I modified picture here. Um, it’s a step up from both of those bikes. Now, you’re probably all thinking, well, it can’t be unlocked and it’s legal and everything else. Don’t let that put you off. 90 Newton meters going through when you hit that boost button. And it really shows, especially on hill climbs and everything else, it really shows that they’ve really thought about the weight of this bike and you know who’s going to be using it. And our age group, you need all the app you can get going up hills. The whole idea, like I said in the video, behind ebikes is the pass is to assist you going up hills. Anybody can ride on the flat. Absolutely brilliant. The torque sensor works really well in conjunction with the boost button. works really well just with the pedals. It’s quite responsive. Like I said, I was sport by that P275 SE AI torque sensor. Um there’s no going back after that. I don’t think it it’s just that thing’s just absolutely brilliant. It’s actually a brilliant bike. The P275SE is just as a commuter bike is just absolutely awesome. The lights are nice and bright. You know, I I I flicked them outside on at night and they’re just really really bright as front and rear. The geometry really works out well. I’m 6T with a 32 in inseam. And yeah, you can set this bike up. It says on the site from 55 up to 62, but I think 6’4 you can get away with it on this. And that goose neck rises quite high. It’s uh you know, it’s an a fit all bike. It says 5 5’5 to 62, but I probably 6’4 and you’d be very comfortable on this bike. You can settle up how you wanted it and want to go with it. The saddle, it’s more comfortable than most, but I’d probably still swap it out if I was keeping the bike. Um, and I don’t know if I am keeping it. It’s a tossup between that and the L20 Pro 3.0. I just love that bike. Um, but I also love this one. They they have a lot of similar characteristics. I also welcomed the fact that they’ve now got plastic fenders and a quick release front wheel. That actually brings the footprint of that bike down when it’s folded, so you can actually get into more into more spaces. I easily got it into the back of my truck, which you’ve seen on the channel before, and I can get it in and out the back of my Audi TT. Um, yeah. So, you know, size-wise, it’s not it’s not massive, but if you’re trying to throw these in the back of a camper van or something and you’re sort of short on space, you know, my advice is build a box that size that I showed you on the on the folded size, add 10 mil all the way around to it, and then you’ve got a rough idea the size of it that you can put in a in a camper van. I like the big buttons. They’re they’re not the small buttons that you sometimes see on these these bikes. Um, and everything’s easily accessed through the information. There’s not a lot of adjustment in the um, P settings. They’re not even P settings anymore. They just give you settings for imperial or metric brightness, and that’s about it. Like I said, this bike cannot be unlocked as of yet. There’s no unlock method. I mean, somebody might come up with one at some point, but I couldn’t find one. And Enu themselves told me this isn’t an unlock bike. So, it’s fully UK and EU legal, and that’s a and that’s a good thing cuz confiscation anxiety is a real thing. I co coined that phrase quite a while back, and it really is. It’s just nothing more annoying that you’re riding around on your bike all the time thinking you can have this confiscated off you at any time. They can’t confiscate this. Even with the boost button taking me up to about 18 mph on the flat at one point, that’s me putting effort in as well. So, you could argue the point that, you know, the energy you’re putting into the bike, but no, to be honest, nobody’s going to put pull you over, if you ride around properly and you’re not being a nuisance, nobody’s going to pull you over anyway, and if they do, they can’t take it off you there. I haven’t really got any dislikes about the bike whatsoever. I love everything on it, from the grips to the plastic fenders to the spoke wheels are lighter than the the alloy wheels, which to be honest, I’ve never really been a massive fan of. So yeah, you know, all the little changes they’ve made. Um, yeah, it’s it’s just a step up from the M1 got a step up in the MK 2 and the MK 2 got a step up in the MI 3. And the MI 3 is a big jump. What would I improve? Well, like I said in the video, I’d probably swap the midshock out. Or maybe not. You can add a suspension seat post and that would make like I said and like I said that would make this the Rolls-Royce of rear suspension. As for the front shock, I wouldn’t bother. It’s absolutely fine. They I think they have they definitely swapped those springs around for something a little bit more, you know, giving but not bottoming out cuz I had them bottom out in the past and you know, you at the end of the video you’ll see me going off a curb and there’s no bottoming out. It barely moves. That’s a front suspension and that was unlocked. So yeah, they thought about everything. And I keep telling everybody once you get a survey through in your email box from Enu, fill it in because if you don’t, you get the bike that they think you want instead of the bike you want. I’m forever filling these things in. I’m also giving feedback to my contact at Enuway, you know, things that I think should be improved and they do it. They actually do it. So yeah, that’s about the only two things I’d improve really. Well, one thing really. The other thing was I wish they’d have put that AI torque sensor in there that’s in the P275 SE. It’s just a brilliant torque sensor. I’ve never come across anything like it before and I doubt I’ll ever come across anything like it again. And it might only come in one bottom bracket size, so maybe it didn’t fit with this. But I think they might have done if it did or if they had options to it. But again, this is keeping it down at a price point. So, before I give it my my score at a 10, quick ask, if you like the video, please hit a like. Um, else with the algorithms apparently. And please subscribe. And the other thing is I I’ll just reiterate this. I don’t make any money out of this channel. The money that I do make is from selling on the bikes used at half price or roughly half price. And that sort of covers me for a part of the time that I spend doing these. These take me 2 to three days to do. And the equipment I’ve had to buy. I’m sort of It’s all about getting bums onto eBike seats. It always has been and it always will be. And I’m lucky that Enu lets me say exactly what I want about these ebikes. From the off, that was the agreement. Um, I get no coercion from them. They just let me film my videos and I try and be fair with them. And this bike’s awesome. So, yeah. The other ask is if you do decide you want to buy one, please use the discount codes in my um YouTube description. It does buy me a few beers every time somebody buys a be an ebike through my channel and it does help. So, you know, you don’t want me sober all the time. So, on to giving it a score out of 10. Well, it’s going to be 9.8 out of 10. If they’d have added that AI torque sensor, it would have been a 10. It really would have because I can live with the suspension. It was fine. Might not be fine for you, but it’s fine for me at 250 that I had on the bike. And it was it was absolutely fine. So, yeah, 9.8 out of 10, which puts it bang in line with the R20 3.0. O Pro Boost. Both absolutely fantastic bikes. And I’m not going to knock out the P275 SE. That’s also an absolutely brilliant bike. These are the three best bikes Enu make now without any any discussion about it. They they are the best. They do a really good commuter. They do two brilliant folders in these two. And they’re the bikes. They’re all the bikes you’ll ever need for whatever you buy them for. You know, if you buy the P275SE as a commuter bike, you’re never going to be disappointed. And if you buy any of the other two, you’re never going to be disappointed. They’re going to do exactly what you want. So, yeah, I’m just kind of kind of blown away with this. I’m I’m tossing up between keeping this or keeping the L20 3.0 Pro Boost. I’ve only got a finite amount of space in my my garage for ebikes. So, even folded up. I’m starving for space cuz I’ve got loads of bikes in there that need to be built and reviewed. Oh, like I said, I hope you enjoyed the video. I’ll just repeat what I said. If you do decide to buy this ebike and it you won’t be disappointed with it. I’m sort of like, wow. Um, please buy through the discount codes and the YouTube description. Like I said, it does buy me a few beers. It helps support the channel really. You know, this this this thing’s been running on bones for a while. I keep buying a new kit. I don’t know if you noticed the new drone footage, but that’s that new DJ um Pro 5 Mini and I love it. One SMOS sensor. You might have seen the video that I posted the other day. So, yeah, you know, buying bits like that trying to, you know, trying to sort of shrink down the kit I need to carry. Yeah, it’s not cheap. Anyway, coming up next will be the EP3 Boost and we’ll see how we get on with that. That review will be going up next week. I think people are already reviewing it, but as you know, my my reviews are a little bit more in depth. I try to go into everything. Have a nice weekend, everyone.

Totally agree with you on the hill climbing comments, it’s what we need most. Who cares about the make model and looks. It’s can we do it. Speed is not the important thing, it’s ease of commuting that counts 👍
So happy to see a review on this bike been aware of it for a few week's courtesy of Engwe, looks good but I think it would look better with the bmx style handle bars.
One thing I am less happy about is the downgrade to a 7 speed gear cassette, but that's just me as I like to peddle and do use the gears a lot. Unfortunately I have only had my Engine Pro 2.0 since the start of June so I will stick with it for the time being as I do love the option of unlocking for use on private trails and forestry roads of which I'm blessed to have a few.
Heading towards 70 and worried if I buy 2 bikes for me & the Mrs they'll be useless after 5 minutes like a lot of the stuff we've bought from China. OK, if it;s a £10 pond pump I can stand that, but £3k is too much to risk for us. Any thoughts?
Feels like a significant upgrade to my favourite fold up L20 Boost.
Hydraulic brakes really need to be standard across the board or at least as an option. Would keep some of the novices who may use these saver.
Do you think it is better than the 3.0 pro with the mid drive ? Yes or no 😊
More great filming 'G' cracking angles from the drone, out in Spain at the moment wish I could film some of this to your quality 👌 Kev
Talking about being all you need is what l said to a mate today when l bumped into him, while out on my new e bike the Evercross EK 30 PRO, l had the EK 30 original x2 l bought one in December last year, liked it so much l bought another in January, l liked the bike a lot first one cost me £650 in a sale and the second one £699, l loved their style and how they could get me up some long steep hills at 23mph down to 16mph, what l didnt like was the brakes were mechanical and as much use as chocolate dentures, also no indicators in rear tho strangely there were spaces left for them in the rear brake light, also the tyres were thin as tissue and l was using an illegal thumbthrottle which l needed to get me going at junctions and hills as l live in a very hilly part of north east near the coast. So now the pro came out lazt week, new puncture proof tyres, indicators front and rear, built in alarm, hydraulic brakes, and a LEGAL half twist throttle mine goes up to 4mph, and its enough to pull away at junctions gets you going until you can complete a rotation of the wheels without wobbling dangerously, l have a bad hip and only ghost riding helps me get out, the bike now to my mind is all l need tho l didnt put the front basket on as it looked like miss marple riding thru the village to a murder, the cost of this peace of mind is actually double the price of the original at £1279, but to my mind worth it because on the other bikes l had paid to have indicators put on with a motorbike harness and an inline switch it wasn't cheap l couldnt find anyone to put on hydraulic brakes and heavy duty tyres and innertubes cost me a fair bit, plus an alarm l hid on the bike £19 which was cheap but required changing the batteries frequently ( yeah l should have looked for rechargable ) so now with all that incorporated l am as happy as you could be with this new one, especially as its legal my others could have been snaffled by the peelers for the thumb throttle. One thing about the new bike some wont like is the fact that it wont go faster than than 16mph, tried the old unlock 67 trick to see if it would but no joy,, personally I'm not bothered as I'm 68 bad hip and in no rush to be going anywhere in a hurry, if l have an urgent appointment l take my car.
So yes its good feeling having enough of what you need on a bike.
