Make sure you pull a string behind it so you can get a new one in

Stay hydrated. People don’t drink enough water.

You can just pull it out and try fishing the new stuff though but I always try to pull something else with it so I can then pull the new stuff though the frame. Make sense? So before you pull the old stuff out tape the new housing to it…

I typically will leave the old cable in, pull the old housing out, then slide the new housing over the old cable, then replace the cable with a new one into the new housing.

Put a cable through the housing, then pull the housing and leave the cable in there.

You must leave a guide wire/housing/string to thread the new housing into the frame.
Klein was infamous for having tiny ports and if someone unwarily pulled out the housing and cable, it took hours to threat a new cable back in.
New frames usually have a wide port with a rubber plug to seal it up, but on the safe side, make sure you have that guide wire and know how you will pull it through the holes when you replace the housing and cable.
