The first photo was taken the day I bought it; the second one is from today.

I know, I know this kind of vintage full-suspension bike gets a lot of hate. This is my first bike, bought it because I like the frame design. Restoring it all by myself over the past few months has been an great journey. Sure, itโ€™s a bit of a boat at just under 20kg, but hey, at least Iโ€™ve got strong legs from riding it around! Itโ€™s very enjoyable to mess around, specially on dirt paths or so. Some changes that I have made:

  • General weight reduction
  • Stickers delete
  • New tyres
  • New seat (I have to bought a new one, again)
  • New front and rear gearset
  • New aluminum V-brakes (Upgrade from rusty Cantilever Setup)
  • New change levels
  • New handlebar grips

The next step is to fully disassemble the bike, restore each component internally, remove all the rust, and repaint everything. That should conclude my first restoration project. For my next bike, Iโ€™d like to experience a bit more lightness and speed, maybe with a rigid MTB or a vintage road bike.
