I ended up picking up a State 4130 all road with GRX 2×11. So even though I LOVED the GRX 2×10 on my Marin, I thought I’d switch it over to GRX 1×12 to differentiate it a bit more. The State will stay 2x and I’ll keep it more comfortable and pavement-focused with semi slick tires.
I think this is basically its final form, unless a set of carbon wheels fall into my lap. And maybe a bigger chainring.
Marin Gestalt 2:
-GRX 1×12 with GRX 810 crankset and sunrace 11-51 cassette.
-GRX wheels with 45c schwalbe g-one RS pros and TRP rotors.
-FSA carbon seatpost and specialized power saddle (might switch to my brooks c13 carbon saddle)
-specialized hover gravel bars, with a thin wrapping of leftover redshift bar tape and wrapped with grepp reusable cloth tape.
-PNW 70mm stem.
Size large and it weighs a hair over 21lbs without the saddle bag or top tube bag.
