I've been slogging on a regular bike for over a decade, rain, shine, hills that made me question my life choices . Always thought e-bikes were cheating… until I realized I was skipping more rides than I care to admit because of the hills.

Fast forward, I grabbed a Puckipuppy a few weeks ago and oh man… instant love. Thought it'd make cycling "too easy," but honestly, I still get a decent workout if I want. Plus, cruising around town, running errands, hitting some nearby trails – it just makes life way less stressful.

Also, anyone decorate their e-bike or add little fun touches? I'm thinking of jazzing up the basket mount but not sure what to do. Drop your ideas!

  1. That’s the thing-its a workout when you want it. And you WILL forget to charge one day and lug the heavy thing back with you-fantastic exercise. My advice is to put as much weight forward as possible and low. I see a perfect spot for a basket up front-i used a lunchbox for mine and it was perfect: big opening makes grabbing stuff easy and fast. It’s insulated so drinks stay cold and chocolate does not melt. It looked nice when closed.

    Good luck!

  2. I did the same a couple of years ago because daily commuting was taking away from my gym routine and ran out of energy for long rides in the weekend. The e-bike I use is heavy enough where I can maintain about 110-120 bpm and a nice blood flow but zero fatigue.
