Guys! I did it. I struggled for the past few months on what to buy, where to buy, flat bars or drop; used or new. 3500 bikes to 1300. I dint know what to do, only that I wanted to seat riding. I found a Ridley X-Fire 52cm, for 750! She’s full carbon. She’s super fast and sexy – and she’s all mine! Let me know if I fu***ed up or not. Here’s a brief run down of what I bought:
Just scored a killer deal on a Ridley X-Fire Carbon (52cm) — full carbon Belgian cyclocross frame that doubles as a gravel and road bike. Built with Ultegra shifters/derailleur, carbon crank, Ritchey cockpit, and 4ZA saddle, plus two complete wheelsets: Mavic/Deore with Ritchey SpeedMax tires for gravel/CX, and Reynolds Solitude with Michelin Pro4s for road. Condition is very good, no carbon damage, just normal wear. Basically two bikes in one — race-proven CX heritage that flips between gravel grinder and road rocket in minutes. Picked it up for $750 — feels like highway robbery for a bike that originally retailed north of $3K.
Welcome your thoughts on the bike, pros and cons.
