100% go for it before someone else grabs it, if you plan on grinding just get the pegs now. Not sure why he wants the pegs without the bike unless he has a problem like I do and has to many bikes
I’d make sure to get the hub guards tho, if he makes you buy the pegs too then I’d say it’s worth it. Hub guards can be a annoying to order and are mandatory if you ever decide to try pegs, and don’t wanna limit yourself. That’s just my opinion
