Good morning, good afternoon wherever you are in the world. And welcome to another live commentary. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Uh yeah, apologies for no welter, but uh we’re back for the world championships, the time trial, the men’s elite in Rwanda Kegali, and we’re just seeing a number of riders warming up. Um yeah, some teams electing not to be here. And uh one of them where I’m quite sad about is that of Denmark. Denmark, their team is not here, but there’s plenty of teams here uh to try and do something. Next rider to start is couldn’t quite see the start of the name there, but uh yeah uh ABS uh I think is it Algeria? But yeah, the big names obviously Taragacha, Remco Veniple coming later on. We’ll see what they can do. Is it going to be another rainbow jersey for Remco Veniple? third one in a row. But there’s there’s a few riders on the course. Uh plenty of African riders from various different countries and uh we’ll see how they stack up against the European talent. Many of these riders as well not riding on the world tour. So this would be a good window for them to get looked at as well. And you never know, procontinental team, a European country team could uh well sweep them up. Uh but in terms of next riders, the first European rider we have starting or the first world tour rider, we can put it like that is Floren Vimesh of Belgium coming up in about 26 minutes. But a lot of African talent on the course right now. The next one we have is Amid Holder uh of which country is this? Madagascar of all places. Madagascar. And right now we have Xiaul. Yeah, Xiaulo. I am very bad with these names so apologies. Cece for Seneagal has started as well. But we haven’t got any ride of finishing yet. And this course is very interesting. You can kind of see it on the map. Uh very rolling course that cobble climb at the end as well. 1.3 km at 5.9% which I think it’s the one that the women’s had. The women’s was a very strong start as well. An interesting uh gap as well. We’re seeing one of the riders here not even using a time travel bike, using a road bike as well, but just absolutely being overtaken by the time travel bike by another rider. So, unfortunately, yeah, I would not ride a road bike in this course. Uh, I don’t think it’s hard enough for a road bike, but uh, yeah, but plenty of African riders on the course right now. Uh, I think we’ve got Yeah, we’ve got one of the Rwanda riders as well. I’m not sure if they have their second Rwanda rider. Uh, but yeah, there’s plenty of interesting riders that could maybe make themselves known here early on. you could get in the hot seat as well for quite a while because yeah, the first real TT specialist I would say in terms of the world tour is potentially Matteo So um coming in about 1 hour and 8. So 1 hour 8 minutes. So pl ample time to get the hot seat. Okay, Michael Leonard as well. Uh we’re seeing Red Walters here of No, that’s not Red Walters. That’s Hoola uh of Madagascar. So, he’s off as well. Not a TT bike. So, I mean that is a shame I think. Um yeah, the funding situation as well. Um not everyone having TT bikes unfortunately, which is a real real uh yeah, really hampers you here if you don’t have a TT bike. So, yeah, great to have so many familiar names in the chat already. Let me know where you’re watching from as well, who you think is going to win today. Our poll has 54% of you thinking Remco Veniple is going to take the gold once again. Taragatcha 36% JVine insiders people in Yeah, someone I know who happens to know someone that is training with Jay Vine said he’s going for 420 watts. That’s the target for this. So, what that translate to in terms of time, we’ll wait and see. And I’m not quite sure what Jvine weighs as well. So power to weight ratio there. But it’s it’s not just a climb as we know. It’s very different for this kind of rolling time trial. But uh the Rwanda home hero I guess and his name in singing Yumba that is very bad. So I apologize to him. Um but yeah he is doing very well. I think he’s the first rider set off. They had the same with the women’s. So Rwanda, many people think they don’t really have a history with cycling, but of course they do. The tour of Rwanda is a very very good race where plenty of European riders and procontinental teams have gone in the past and really just cut well uh they develop as riders and it seems like it’s a really good race. Rwanda seems an absolutely beautiful country as well. Uh rolling landscape, beautiful forest areas and yeah, it really is a gem. And this is one way you can broadcast your country completely. Uh Christopher saying that Tagacha is going for 475 watts. Yeah, Pagotaa Recover. This is going to be so intriguing. Uh next ride to start is from Guinea and it’s Ka Aa. Uh let’s see if we can learn a bit more about him, get to know a bit more about African cycling as well. And hopefully we will see some of these guys venturing into the top echelons of the sport as well. I mean we’ve seen team Amani is continental team trying to close the bridge between Europe and the African talent as well. So we’ll see here. But yeah, it’s many of them on road bikes, which is a shame. Uh, Diara here for Mali, we’re seeing him as well, number 51. Why is he on the course here? Let’s see. But the fastest time is from the home favorite of Ensangi Yonga. Yungva 16 minutes at the first time check right now, averaging 39.7. So that as the first benchmark and we’ll see how long that holds. But if you’ve ever been on a time trial bike compared to a road bike, the difference is night and day. Like on this kind of course, yeah, it’s not launch develop or perigur or something like that, those kind of time trials. But this is yeah, this is this is it. Uh we’re also getting what I mean is this is it in terms of the comparison a time travel bike cuts through it. Um, and it’s so yeah, time travel bike, it’s more aerodynamic as we know. So, it just makes a huge difference. So, I really feel sorry for the guys who are riding road bikes on this. But, um, in terms of African best riders in the last few years of the world championships, proagnet stats has provided that as well. Uh, Charles Kamu um was the best rider last year, 38th, the I think he’s the continental champion as well. two-time African continental champion and yeah, he’s doing I think a national champion this year for Uganda. So, he might be I is he here? I’m not quite sure if they took him off cuz he’s not down on the on the pro on the start list. So, maybe he’s not actually here. So that’s a great shame being African, having your first ever continental world championships and not being here being the African uh time trial champion, which uh yeah, what a shame. But plenty of African riders. Uh we’ve got what flag is this? I recognizing the flags is also a bit of testing my knowledge as well. But uh yeah, we’ll get there. The Rwanda flag, very beautiful. for the Tanzania flag. I like that one as well. Um, Botswana flag. There’s plenty of colorful flags, but I think this is Chromoros uh starting now in terms of the country, but we’re getting plenty of riders passing through their various intermediate time tracks as well. No rider has finished the course as of yet. The home favorite is still on the course. He’s at 23 km to go here. So, we’ll see what he will well how long his benchmark will stand, but plenty of Rwanda fans out and it seems like the energy is very high. Uh there was a lot of dancing and music at the start of the women’s time trial which was very good. There was not that for the Swiss one. I can tell you that. Uh when I saw it, what did I see that one in person? No, but I saw the the Insrook World Championships to start there. good atmosphere, but there wasn’t like music and a party party atmosphere at the start, but here there definitely was. So, we’ll see what happens here and who will actually take this rainbow jersey as well. I mean, Remco Veniple Tour of Britain and we’ve also had uh Tagacha very strong in Canada. I mean, his program being in Canada, I think they flew back to uh I think they flew back to France as well and then from France they went to Kali. I think that’s what they did. So, a real world tour for Tarvagacha and some of the other guys and of course no Danish national team here unfortunately. No Philly Bugana either. Uh the tour of Luxembourg is happening today as well and right now Brandon Malti is leading the GC there. We’ll see if they will take their 86th victory today. Uh maybe they will, maybe they won’t UAE and break that world record. That would be a very very impressive one if they do. But uh yeah, we’re just waiting to see what’s going to happen here in the first African time trial. We’re seeing the home favorite here. Uh coming up towards 22.2 km. No, this is Yeah, it is him. Yeah. Um nice kit. I quite like it. It’s very very in line with their colors in terms of uh the flag. Some of the kits we’ve seen for national teams have been absolutely horrendous, but I think this is very stylish, very respectful of the flag as well. Uh Benin is coming up now with Soji Day. So number 45. So of course we had I think 66 riders in total. So 21 riders already on the start. But there is plenty of riders to be considering here. And I mean it is Pagacha versus we think for the victory here. Is this not flat enough for Remco Veniple? We saw them cross swords twice in the tour to France once on the perig good one obviously but also on that can one where veniple won with 16 seconds but obviously uh grand tour is very different in terms of a time trial to like this one allout effort that’s also what Patrick was talking about in our preview show as well so we’ll see if they’re able to do something here it’s uh yeah Rimco Tare I mean T is very very go good on a time trial. Won numerous time trials. Let’s let’s uh not forget about that. I mean, the last one, Perag Good, he’s beaten uh Ghana in a time trial as well in the Jire’s highest setting. So, yeah, absolutely astonishing. Not the best record when it comes to a time trial in national team sense. Of course, he decided not to go to the Olympics last year, so we don’t have the comparison with him there. But uh yeah, I think Tadvagacha is going to give it a good go. And he is the only Slovenia rider as well. There is no Primos Rugglitch here. So, we’ll see. We’ll see what he can do. I mean, we’ve had no rider winning the road and the time trial ever in the senior rank in the elite category. So, is that going to happen this year? We’ve had riders come very close. Uh Miguel Ingodory coming very close, I think. Oh, wait, no, that was close to the triple crown. in terms of winning the double in the worlds has it’s not been done in the men’s. Uh we’ve had obviously the Olympic last year was done by uh yeah done by Remco Veniple quite sensationally. So very very interesting there. But who is going to be winning today? I mean you would put all your money on maybe Remco maybe not. It’s it’s a it’s a hard one this it’s a very hard one. I think Graco is very strong. Well, he is. He’s the best one as we know. He’s the best one in terms of the clock. He’s had an incredible record. We’ll I’ll bring up the records as well and then we can look at the time trial records. But right now, we’ve got uh Louie Leu from China. So, China is one of these countries where they are a very heavy cyclist country, but they just haven’t got the road race talent. I mean they’re very strong on the track. They’ve got plenty of races in the past. I mean we had a tour of China tour of China part two as well. We had the tour of Wangi happening uh well in in the current world tour format and we had the tour of Beijing. But just we don’t have that Chinese superstar yet. And um yeah I talked with one of the press officers from UAT Emirates of all teams who is Chinese himself. one of them um I think he’s assistant press officer but I said why is there not a Chinese big star yet and he said well until the emperor or until the head of the people’s republic of China the the party wants it it won’t happen so as soon as they say we want a tour of France champion that will be put in motion so clearly not cycling fans the heads of state in China But they have the super glory power China team. Uh continental team. Let’s see what what are they called? China glory. Men men continental cycling team. Continental team. So not procontinental yet, but they’ve had some result here and there, but not with Chinese riders yet. Uh we’ll see if that development continues. But for the time being, the Rwanda national uh the Rwanda homegrown hero, we’ll get to know him a bit more as well. Let’s dive into his stats. But he is he’s got 19.3 km left. 19.3 km left of the of this stage. We’ll see what he or stage this day. Uh it must be a very incredible feeling to have your home home race here and uh his time is still standing. Three riders have already passed the first intermediate time check and we’ll see if he can do it. He’s actually the national time trial champion right now. 26 years young riding for a continental team of Java Inovo Tech Pro team which I’ve never heard of them. They are a Rwanda team. So there we go. And uh yeah, they had a rider finished 12th in the tour du Rwanda. Uh so yeah, and they also have the Ugandan uh the third best Ugandan time trial rider as well. So African or Rwanda continental team and we’ll see what they can do as well. And obviously one of the things that these African continental teams which I heard from the the man behind the team Ammani team that I think is registered with Kenya is that they really need the invites as well and it’s quite hard to get the invites for the African teams into European races obviously because I mean those invites in European races are very very competitive as well and uh yeah it’s hard like even a Danish, Dutch, whatever, Bulgarian, UK, oh there’s no UK continental teams anymore, but there’s so many of them competing for very few spaces in the copy of Bartali, in Tour of Denmark, in wherever. Uh so it’s it’s it’s tough. It’s really tough. But uh the the tour to Rwanda is of course their big their big um tour to France in a way for many of these African continental teams and a very big race. I think it’s the biggest race on the African scene. I think there is also the Amisa Bongo race in Gabon. So uh South Africa don’t really have a big state race in the road I think. But uh Lauran Lauran Jves is the next rider to come up. Ronda’s gonna be happy about this. Canadian, I must be honest, I didn’t realize he existed. Um rides for the Project Echelon racing team. Of course, they’ve also got Michael Leonard doing this as well. He was fourth in the national championships at Canada. Uh of course, the winner there was Michael Leonard beating Derek G for the win there. So, a good opportunity to represent his home country as well. I mean, if you got a call up and said, “Do you want to come to the World Championships and represent your country?” I think most riders, if you’re not in the top uh top tier, top two tiers of the sport, you’ probably jump on it. Why wouldn’t you? But he’s going to be the next rider. Is he going to be able to set the benchmark? As we said, he was fourth um in that race or in the national championships for Canada. He was 16th in the final stage of the welter out Portugal uh last month uh finish a a time trial round Lisbon pan flat so very different to this and we’re just seeing some minimum get caught as well on the road but it’s going to be good here it’s going to be a interesting battle I think when we get the real big guns coming up no Danish team no Ghana as well unfortunately I’m not sure what the reason for Ghana. Is it just he didn’t like the course and it’s a long way to travel to get fourth place or um yeah I think I would say that as well. If if you are someone like Ghana and you’re you’re only really going for the win then I think this is yeah probably not where you should invest your time. Obviously, he is um he is going to the European Championships which is in France this year and I think that that is going to be an interesting one. Um Remco is going there as well. I think T is not doing the time travel but he’s doing the road race. So yeah, maybe it is for the best. Focus more on the European win that if he can. The course suits him a bit better than this. So Ghana will be missed but yeah that’s how it is. Um yeah removable with Alex Seigard that’s quite a strong lineup for Belgium there and the Danish team is there. They’re not here but they are there. I don’t really understand why the Danish team isn’t here because Skeos or whoever the national team Skels is not here. He’s busy and trying to win the tour of Luxembourg. But I mean, there’s plenty of other riders uh from Denmark who probably are down here that could just do something in the TT. So, yeah, it doesn’t cost that much. Just bring a TT bike. You’re bringing a road bike anyway. So, but uh yeah, I don’t really agree with that with the Danish national team. I think it’s a bit disrespectful to the hosts, but maybe you guys can let me know what your comments are or your feelings about the Danish national team not being here. I think there’s a few other teams not here. The GB team are not here either. Um but yeah, it is what it is. Uh great to have over 100 people in the chat. Let us know where you’re watching from as well. Smash the like button and yeah, I will do the road race as well. Um under 23 road race. Are we interested about that? But the next rider to start is from South Sudan, I believe. uh dmoot moot and um not on a road bike e on a road bike here. So yeah, it’s a shame that we couldn’t yeah they didn’t have all the riders on TT bikes because it’s going to hurt their time so badly and I don’t think it’s a fair comparison many of these riders just going on road bikes. So yeah, a bit of a shame. Uh but their home favorite, he’s got 15.6 15.8 km still left of the course. Still holding the benchmark. Um so um yeah, no, I’m just I’m just a bit sad to see the the African riders are not all on TT bikes. That really shifts the advantage a lot and doesn’t give it justice really. But yeah, the home favorite. He is on a TT bike and absolutely uh putting the benchmark down right now. And we’ll see how long that time stands when he gets to the finish eventually. And there are a whole multitude of riders looking to uh absolutely demolish this course. Next rider to start. Let’s just have a look at that as well. We’re talking about Ghana before. No Ghana here. And yeah, obviously that’s a shame. Is this the first one? We haven’t seen Ghana for quite a while. But the next rider to start is Musafa Mustafa Coronoma from I think that’s Sierra Leon if I’m not mistaken that flag. Um 27 years young and not too many not too many races abroad. He’s been doing races in the UAE quite a lot. the Mayoo Ramadan Cycling Championships. I didn’t even know that existed. He was 28th there. I presume it’s a road race. So, yeah, interesting. Uh but no real TT uh record in terms of pro cycling stats. So, that is a bit alarming obviously. So, we’ll wait and see. But many of these riders really getting their name out for the first time on a big scene as well. So that’s our world championships normally is quite good for that as well. Uh the first European rider is starting in 4 minutes and that’s Floren Vsh of UAT Merit and obviously also of Belgium. So he will be setting out a good benchmark and he’s in a bit of a weird position here because I mean he’s teammates with Remco Venpol today but he’s also the teammate trade teammate of Tardacha. So, we’ll see what happens there as well. Oh, the Sierra Leon rider did not start. Oh, that’s a shame. That’s a shame. So, we have a D and S already. So, that’s a great shame. The home favorite of Ning Neni Yunga is still I think he’s still the benchmark right now. So, the first time check 60 minutes. That’s his time. Maybe he’s been practicing this every day. Who knows? Probably not. Probably a lot of traffic on this course uh on a normal day. But I mean to have your home home world championships, you’re the first rider. I mean, I can only imagine what that feels like. But uh yeah, we’re following one of the ma the Madagascan rider as well, seeing what he can do. So I mean many of the riders as we said not riding road bikes. So that is really hampering them quite a lot here. So Floren Vsh that is where we’re going to see if Yeah. Well Floren Vsh time trial. Does that ring a bell? It doesn’t really ring a bell for me. Let’s dive into it. So Florensh as we know 26 years young 1 m 93. So very tall. Very very tall. Good classics rider. We know he finished second in Par Bay back in 2021. But time triing, time triing, that doesn’t really uh ring a bell with me. I mean, he was second in the Belgian national time trial. Well, there we go then. Uh that speaks for itself, beating the likes of Alex Seagard. So, he was 1 minute 11 seconds behind the Remco Veniple on that account. So, yeah, not bad. Uh he is actually a pretty good TT rider. So yeah, maybe he’s just planted in the Belgian team to get any extra nuggets of information for Tadagacha. No, I don’t think it’s that deep. I think he’s just there to do a job, represent his country. And uh yeah, we will wait and see what he can do here. We got plenty of riders still to go. We got 38 riders in total. Florensh is the next riders to start. Um, so is he going to be able to Well, it’s not African riders there. We have the Chinese rider as well. So, there’s plenty of riders on the course, but there’s no Europeans. We have the Canadian riders. Well, so we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. It’s uh it’s going to be an interesting one for sure, but the Rwans at the start are definitely doing something here. Uh Ver saying, “One American will barter checking for what time he’ll start. Uh yeah, Will Bart. I mean, I remember that Welter stage where he almost took the win a few years ago now, but still, maybe he can do it. Oh, he’s in Tamagacha’s birthday. Oh my goodness. So, we are Yeah, good good shout there. Uh yeah. Wow. Uh Ver reminding us of that. I mean, didn’t he become Was it his birthday in 2020? Was it on his birthday or was it after something with his birthday? I think he was either to France champion on his birthday or yeah the day after. But uh yeah, the French riders Paul Cesak that is someone to look out for as well. um the the European champion in the time trial last year, uh third place in the national time trial for France and obviously also winner of the the Toravanir where his time traveling skills came into action quite well and did a very good job there. Um yeah, winning winning the whole thing. Uh so we will see what he can do here. He’s a very strong card as we know. really really could do something. Uh if maybe maybe he can do something here, but it would be really really good to see Paul Cax do something. Obviously, it’s not the first time we’ve had a un junior world champion skip the under 23 ranks and go straight into the elite when it comes to the world championships. We had that exact scenario back in 2019 with Raven Veniple winning the junior world championships in Insbrook and then skipping the under 23 ranks and going straight into the lead and finishing second. So I mean Paul Sax needs to pull something out if he’s going to uh do that if he’s going to be able to uh trump that of Venipole’s achievement. But uh yeah, we’ll wait and see what happens here. We’re seeing who’s this a factor bike. Who’s riding a factor bike? Who is this? I’m not quite sure. Is this I’m not sure who that is. Who’s riding the factor bike. Uh but Floren Vamesh is the first European rider to start this first ever World Championships in Africa, which I think has Yeah, I mean they should have done this before, shouldn’t they? It’s a bit late. Uh yeah, to not have a continental championships or world championships in Africa. I mean, so many options uh for them and they still haven’t done it. So, bit weird UCI, but yeah, well, better late than never, I guess. Uh the Rwan home favorite, he’s coming closer to the finishing line. He’s got 8 km to go here and he’s going to set the benchmark at the finish line for the rest of the riders. Try and unseat him. Let’s see how long he’ll sit in the hot seat as well. It would be very very good to see um him maybe outlasting some of the world tour riders as well. It would really put him on the map. As we said, he is riding for a Rwanda continental team, so this is a great great way to put himself on the map as well. We’ll wait and see what he can do here, but the course is a very lumpy one. We got the cobblestones as well. We already seen the rider, the women’s uh riders as well do something here. Oh, Ronda and Vera said the Tardagatcha. Um, yeah. So, Tarvagacha could maybe win on his birthday. Yuan Moiso did that exact thing back in what was it? 1996 or 1998. Um, few years ago for sure. But yeah, we’re seeing Rwanda’s home hero here. 7.3 km. The climb is the climbing is very interesting in this race or in this time trial. I think it Yeah, it’s going to be very very close between TAD and Reco. I think it could go either way. Absolute either way. Great to have the global Rwanda in the chat as well. Great to have so many people already in the chat. We still have plenty of riders we’re waiting for in terms of starting. And uh who is the next ride to start as well? We’ve got Floren Vesh on the road and we’ve got Stefan Kung is here as well. We’ve got Remco Venport. Obviously, we’ve got plenty of riders that could get in the mix, but who is it going to be? That is the big question here. I’m Yeah, it’s it’s hard. You guys are still going for Well, no, actually it flipped. You guys were mostly going for Remco Veniple. Now it’s flipped. Now it’s Tataragatcha. So, Tarabacha 49% 42% for Remco Veniple. Now it’s Dio. Um, didn’t quite catch the country. Let’s see the country. Is that Sagal? No, Mali. Mali. Really getting testing my knowledge of flags as well. So, yeah, we’ll wait and see. We will wait and see. But Tog is he going to give himself a big birthday present. Um, yeah. I mean the feat he’s trying to do I think Ramco Veniple didn’t he do it he won the road world championships back in 2022 and then the year after he won the road in 2000 the time trial in 2023. So he did do the double the calendar double if you will holding both title medals at the same moment but obviously not winning it at the same world championships. Reco has done it in the past in Insburg but in the junior category. So he’s not a stranger to doing the double. But yeah, don’t worry guys, we will do the road race as well. And then we’ve got Ilaria as well coming up. So plenty of things to happen. Plenty of videos on the various different channels as well. And uh right now we’ll do the recap after the stage on the podcast and in the extra channel as well. So, but for the time being, the Rwanda home hero is still leading the charge here. And uh yeah, we’ll see. I think we have the same time travel bike. Actually, it’s a Sello. So, yeah, good outing for them. I mean, I don’t understand like why did they not just lend these guys that don’t have TT bikes, a road bike, uh a TT bike? It’s good publicity for the brands. I mean, just throw them like Yeah. Strange, strange, strange, strange. Can’t cost them that much money. But uh yeah, we’re seeing the Rwanda home hero. As we said, he’s got six kilometers still to go. We’re still waiting for the big names as well in terms of the time trial discipline. Um next big rider, who will we say in terms of a TT pedigree? I I think we’re looking at Michael Leonard. And in about 25 minutes, the national champion for Canada. Obviously, Ronda’s going to be very happy about that. And we got Ry Ray Tarame who I didn’t even realize bro anymore. I thought he retired but uh yeah he obviously changed from he changed from into mache last year got let go I think and now he rides on a continental team right now but representing Estonia maybe one last time you never know but for the time being riders are still coming thick and fast and we still have the Rwanda home hero is still leading the charge the Chinese rider uh Jean Anu Leu uh is second place, 1 minute and 13 seconds down. So, we’ll see if anyone can actually challenge the Rwanda home hero, but I think he’s going to be in the hot seat for quite a while. We’re obviously we’re waiting for uh we’re waiting for Floren Bamesh to come through the first intermediate time check and that will give us a real indication how competitive their time is. But yeah, the fact that riders don’t have T2 bikes, I think is a bit scandalous. I think some of these teams should have gotten involved because it is the World Championship, so it’s the biggest scene. So, it is a bit Yeah, it’s like bringing a a banana to a gunfight. That that’s kind of how I feel in a way. But yeah, writers who are here, Remco, Venipole, J Vine is here. We’ve also got no Ghana. No Tarling Tarbach is here. No Afini. No Yas been Bruno Mariah. Yes. No Ethan hater. He won a time trial yesterday in the tour of Luxembourg. No Primos Rugglitch. But he is for the road race. No Fen Vsh. We got Stefan Kung here. No Kan Mlan. No Dan Hoola. No Brandon McNeli. Obviously he’s trying to win the tour of Luxembourg. And uh yeah, on screen we just saw the difference between a time trial bike and a road bike. Uh yeah, just flying past one of the guys with the road bike. So it’s yeah, it’s a bit it’s you can’t even compare. If you’ve ever been on a time travel bike, it’s incredible how easy you can get up to a very fast speed compared to a road bike. So yeah, we will wait and see. But uh for the time being, plenty of riders on the course, plenty of riders looking to send a early benchmark and the Royan home hero of uh Nisangi uh Yungva. I need to learn how to pronounce that properly. But he is still number one. The Canadian rider of Len Jes related to Ricky Jves maybe not. He is second 11 seconds down on the Rwanda. So I think the time might be fairly competitive. So we’ll see. Um yeah, Ethiopia does have um is it G the Yeah, what he rides for? What team is it? Or does he not ride anymore? They have some world tour riders, but they haven’t got a world tour rider here, so that’s a bit of a shame. Um, yeah, but China, we’re seeing them second place. Oh, Jacob Ela has an Ethiopian world tour rider, but he’s not here, unfortunately. So, that’s a great shame for Ethiopia not sending their best riders, but we’ll wait and see. It’s a bit of a waiting game now to the big guns, but Floren Bomesh is going to give us a bit of an indication what how this level stacks up against the world tour rider. I think that is the first world tour rider, Floren Bomesh. Uh cuz our Canadian rider Jav is not a world tour rider. But uh yeah uh Sera Diara from Sagal or Mali, wasn’t it? Mali, I’m not very good with the Mali Senagal flag. He has just gone third fastest on the second intermediate time check, but there’s only three riders who’ve gone through. So yeah. Um what are we saying as well? Robert Shark, uh how technical the course is? That would be the big challenge for a time travel bike. Yeah, I don’t think it’s very technical. I think it’s more hard uh with the elevation. I don’t think it’s actually that technical. You’ve got the the cobble climb that we’re seeing the Rwanda home hero now on. 11% in the start. I mean, that cobble is going to be interesting to see. I mean cobble like riding a time travel bike on any kind of bumpy road is terrible but like riding out cobbles is absolutely dreadful. So yeah I I can’t imagine that being a nice experience but I mean Remu and T phenomenal riders on the cobble so I can’t see them um being too sk too worried about this. Brent uh Breton John has also started for Guyana. So Guyana have sent a rider here from South Afric South South America. Um yeah, what’s his stat 25 years young? Um yeah, one not really any time trial races this year. So that’s a bit of a worry, but Guyana have sent someone as well. But uh yeah, we are just seeing the first rider just jostled the roads, the the cobblestones here at the finish. I think it’s going to be a rude awakening to many riders if they haven’t done the recon. I hope they’ve all done the recon. Let’s be honest. Uh do not do a recon in this kind of uh TT is uh yeah, death stroke in a way. But uh yeah, Florensh uh did he come past the first intermediate time check? He’s very close. Uh the first intermediate time check obviously on a bit of an incline again. 2.4 km at 6%. And then they do the climb from a different direction as well for the second point. 6.6 6 km is at 3.5%. So the the percentages are not lethal here. They’re not something crazy right now. But yeah, if you haven’t already as well, smash the like button. Let’s try and get to 100 as quickly as possible. We’re on 180 people in the chat. Great to have you all here. And uh yeah, it’s looking very good for the World Championships. Uh we’ll see who’s going to be winning this, but uh plenty plenty of riders out on the course. We’re still waiting for 33 riders. So, the next rider is riding under a white flag and that is Russian and it’s Artm Nish. Um, I think wasn’t he part of the gasp prompt team? Yes, he was. He’s now riding for the Anola Tinian 21 team. Um, is that the Portuguese team? Is this not the Portuguese? Yes, it is the Portuguese team. The Sabgal team where Ul Johansson came from and some other riders. They seem to have a pretty good conversion rate to get riders back into the world tour. So, Artim’s never ridden on the world tour. His highest is um Gasp Prom. So, Procontinental team, 30 years young, but uh yeah, we’re still seeing the home favorite. Uh yeah, doing a good job here. So, uh who is going to be winning this race? Pagatcha. And uh yeah, we’re just seeing plenty of riders coming up. Um who’s this? Was from the ref. So isn’t that res refugee nation? Uh just coming up to the second intermediate time check outside the time of the randon home hero. So yeah, 5 minutes and 30 seconds down. So I mean the level is really um yeah, up and down here uh in the beginning, but it’s great. It’s a great platform. I would say and this is a good way for for them kind of to show themselves off as well and just get to the next step as well. I think it’s a very good platform for smaller nations. We don’t often see this and to be able to race against world tour caliber is incredible you have to say. Um but for the time being still the home hero we’re seeing he’s coming very close to the finish line now. I think we are going to get that first time coming up. Uh yeah, he’s coming towards the finish now. It it’s going to be less than an hour. It’s going to be about let’s see where the finishing line that that line was very deceptive. That could have looked like a finishing line. But he is going to be setting a time of I think around 56 minutes 57 minutes. A good benchmark and yeah definitely has done his home country proud here. Good first rider as well. He’s going to have the first hot seat of any of these riders and we’ll see how long he can do it. He’s inside the last 300 meters now. So, we’ll see where he stops the clock. Maybe he’ll just creep into 57 minutes. It’s quite a tough finish here. It’s still going up towards the finish. He’s comes out of the saddle as well. And I mean, the atmosphere he must be feeling here. All his countrymen. Uh, yeah, that must be an electric feeling. And who would have thought? Like not a lot of riders think they’re going to get a home national home world championships. And here he is. Yeah. Stops the clock. And that was 56 minutes and 41 seconds. So that is our first benchmark. And uh yeah, I think he’s going to have the hot seat for quite a while. Quite a while. And yeah, good ride, good outing. Had the TT bike. He’s going to be quite chuffed with that. And we’ll see how long that time stands. All the way to the finish. Probably not. Uh I think we’re going to see Remco Venipole. Yeah. What is the estimated time for Remco Venopaga? I mean that that is a good one as well to think about. Are we going to see into the 40s? Uh oh no, we have got the 40s, but well no we haven’t. We’ve got 56. What am I talking about? Maybe we could see into the late 40s. That could maybe be it. Um, yeah, we will wait and see, but for the time being, it’s going to be an interesting one. This I think I think we are going to get a real big showdown between two of the biggest names in the sport. And uh, yeah, all here for it. I think we’re all here for it to see a real big showdown between these guys. But uh, yeah, we’re following the Canadian as well. Uh, Javvis, Lauren, Javvis, Lauren, Javase. So I guess is that the French side of Canada? Um nothing to help me on pro cycling starts with that. But yeah, as we said part of the project project Echelon racing team and we’ll see what he can do here. Um yeah, was recently at the Walta Wala Portugal, the 10 stage bike race in uh Portugal. the closest thing we have to a fourth grand tour I think uh because yeah that is a lot of stages but uh yeah what can he do here fourth at the nationals as we said in Canada obviously their their national champion is coming up as well uh with Michael Leonard no Derek G here who knows what Derek G is doing if anyone knows what team has signed Derek G please let me know because I’m so confused what’s going on with Derek G after his uh not being with with Israel Premate anymore. Um killing that contract. So not quite sure what’s going on. Uh news is saying what Derek G Bol is real Premier. We knew that. So that’s old news. Ottawa Ottawa Sports pages bit behind the news. Um yeah. So I’m not quite sure where he’s going to go here. Uh we’ll wait and see. I mean Inosia seems like an open goal. They need a rider like him and I think he would fit very well, but he’s not here at the World Championships unfortunately. So, who knows what Derek G is doing? Who knows? Maybe it’s just living life. But, uh, next rider to start. Is this Autumn? Were we a bit too too far ahead here? No, it’s Turkish rider. This is Oren or Ken. I’ve seen that name before. So, I think he has won some races in the past, maybe on the Asian circuit. Uh, let’s get to know him a bit more. Atim Oran, Oren, Oren, I think that’s how you pronounce it. Uh, he’s ridden in plenty of races, uh, plenty of teams, continental teams. He is a 10 time Turkish national champion in the time trial. So, there you go. Sending their best time trial rider. Did he not win it this year? Maybe he didn’t win it this year. Let’s see. Did they have Yeah, they did have one and he didn’t win it. He wasn’t in fact there. Oh, wait. He was there. He was seventh. Maybe something went wrong. But a 10 time national time trial champion for Turkey. And we are just waiting to see what’s going to happen here. But uh yeah, most of you still think it’s going to be Tadatcha, the birthday boy, winning the race today. And yeah, we’re still waiting for a lot more riders to finish. We’ve only had one finishes right now and yeah, Michael Leonard coming in about 11 minutes. Ry Tara three minute two minutes down on him. Then we’ve got Darren Rafati as well. We’ve got Ian Manilda Ral Garcia who is changing teams to Mistar next year the Spanish rider. Uh Matt So is going to be the real him and Michael Lena I think are really going to put down a benchmark for many of the other riders. We got Luke Plap and then Port Seesak coming in about half an hour. So, plenty of interesting riders still to come. And very quickly as well after Paul Zisax, we’ve got Maros Schmidt starting. We’ve got another Rwanda rider, Moise Mugisha. Mugisha, is that how we’re saying it? uh he is in fact the national time trial champion of Rwanda twice not this year but in 2024 he was so we’ll see what he can do as well um yeah so there are there is one more Rwanda rider as well so we will wait and see what happens here but there’s plenty of intrigue here with this time trial I think the top 10 there’s yeah we have got Maician right as well we Got Brandon Donis Donz from South Africa. I’ve never heard of him. We’re getting to know a lot of riders as well. Even the German rider, I’ve never heard of him. Miguel Hydeman, never heard of him. So, we’re discovering a few riders ourselves. But Floren Vimesh has set the fastest time at the first intermediate time check. So, 45 seconds quicker than the home favorite. So yeah, I think we are going to see the times really get destroyed by the time we get to the top five. The top five consist of Javvine, Bruno Mariah, Stefan Kung, Tagachan, and Removable starting us off in an hour 12. So that top four, top five is really going to go for it. Isaac Del Toro is also in the start line. Uh so this is his first elite world championships. obviously been flying this year. Isaac Del Toro, obviously we have a video on the channel, but uh yeah, time trial and Isaac Del Toro. Does that ring a bell? Not really, if I’m honest. Uh the time trial in Pisa in in in the Jirro, he finished 36th in Tiar and in Albania, he was 12th there. In the Torabas country, he was 15th on that opening time. ninth in the opening terrain time trial. So I mean there is a bit of time traveling and I mean he’s getting uh yeah a new experience as well representing his national team. He’s done that before as well. He was at the under 23 national uh world championships as well and he’s of course won the tooler for the first Mexican ever in the national colors as well. So Isaac Del Toro for sure is a rider to watch. And I mean many people got annoyed that I called him the future of UAE but I mean he is uh yeah many people saying Tarbagache is the future but I mean Taragache is the now. He’s not really the future is he? So we will see what happens there. But uh yeah the times are tumbling. So we’ll see if we will see some big changes by the time yeah other riders come in as well. Uh more world tour riders coming means the times will tumble a lot I think. Uh next world tour rider that we’re looking out for. Who is that? Uh that is Michael Leonard. 7 minutes. So I think that one is going to be quite a dangerous one in terms of challenging all the times. It could be our next hot seat rider after I think uh Floren Vsh. So, but uh Michael Leonard not really the best year in terms of time traveling. Let’s be honest. I think he still has the 3 km individual pursuit junior world record. But uh yeah, he was 41st in Tora Poland in a 12.5 km time trial. In the criteria to do a time trial, he was 23rd. So, not the best record this year, obviously winning the national championships, but other than that, not really anything to write home about. Still only 21 years old, so he could still be in the under 23 category. Uh, famously, he did win a stage in the total Aanir in 2024 while riding for Inosers, which I was like, you can do that. Obviously you can but uh yeah I think like his race before that was the well tab burgers and then you go to the to lavanir but I mean it’s turning into the under23 to France anyway so many of them are in development teams many of them are already on the world tour scene so you can see Paul Sax he went to the do and then he goes to to lavanir so the level is very high in that under 23 category now so yeah there’s a lot of pressure I think the pressure is going like move down into the juniors soon as well. But yeah, AG2R, they have the main team, they have the development team, they have a under19 team, and they have an under 16 team. So crazy. It’s like a football club setup here. But I mean, that’s how you have to do it if you’re going to discover the next Paul Cesax. Anyway, what are we waiting for? But we are waiting for our next world tour rider of Michael Leonard to start. There’s plenty of riders still on the course. The times are tumbling courtesy of Floren Bamesh. He will probably be our next hot seat rider. He is getting ever closer. He’s on the second climb of the circuit now. So getting closer to the intermediate time check 2 and then he’s got that long descent into three and then another climb and then he’s got the cobble climb and then the finish the cobble climb 1.3 km long 5.9% uh not the toughest climb but certainly is uh doing something uh to be honest but uh Lauren Jves he’s about to get to the second time check as well outside the time of In Sanangi Yum yumva in Sanangi Yungva the Rwanda home hero and uh current hot seat sitter. So we will see we will see um but uh yeah 39 seconds outside the Rwanda. So Lan J is not going to get that hot seat at all. Not the Canadian unfortunately, but Michael Leonard maybe could do it. I’m not sure. We will see. But uh yeah, next ride to start is Byron Muton from South Africa. Must be honest, never heard of him. Let’s get to know him. 26 years young, uh continental rider, national South African time trial champion back in 2022. took a stage win at the Walter uh the Walter Portugal. So yeah, eighth in the Lisbon time trial. So has some pedigree there. So we’ll see what he can do. Who’s the national South African time trial champion at the moment? Is it Debbot? Is it surely not Meny’s? It’s Alan Hatha. The mountain bike world champion is currently the time trial champion as well. Oh wow. He’s been having a great great year. National time trial champion, world tour rider and uh yeah, winning the mountain bike world championships as well. So didn’t elect to come here. Was he at the world championships last year? He was not. I think isn’t this his first year? Yeah, it’s his first year as a world tour rider. So yeah, that transition from mountain biker to road biker is a very successful one in the past. Kadell Evans, Yak Foolang, dare I say Michael Rasmmanson, Tom Peacock to some extent, I guess. Um, yeah, Lan Jes before he climbs up up towards the finish line. 20.4 km left for Floren Vsh, the first world tour rider, the UAE rider riding his Kagabite. So, we’ll see what he can do here. Is he going to be taking the first hot seat breaking Rwanda cycling fans hearts? So, uh, yeah, it’s going to be an interesting one. But, uh, next rider to start. Who is the next rider to start? It is, yeah, Muton that we talked about. So, yeah, what can the South African do? This is a great honor for him as well. Um, his first ever Well, has he been to another world championships? Maybe not. But I mean, if yeah, these continental riders, if you got the call up from the national team, I would take it in a heartbeat because it’s you don’t know whenever you’re going to be called up again to the national team. Some of these world tour riders who are maybe a bit more specialist in in it. Uh they might decline it more if it doesn’t suit them like we saw with Ghana because they know when the time comes, they will get the call up uh when it favors them. But yeah, we will see what happens here. Uh Luke Plap coming up very shortly as well in 16 minutes time. So uh Luke Plap said it’s a very challenging course. So we will see. Luke Plap strong rider some bit of a hit and miss in terms of time traveling performances can be very good. Seventh in the San Sebastian classic uh few well last month. uh his time triing performance this year, winning the national time trial championships uh early on, finishing seventh in the second time trial in the Juraya and went to the tour as well. Got two top 10s there. In the first one, he finished ninth and in that very hard Perry good one, he finished fifth. So that was a very good showing by him there. So you don’t know. You never know how what which plop you’re going to get. You never know. We’ll see what he can do, but maybe he can be another benchmark. I think he could maybe take the hot seat for a while. So, uh Luke Plop is uh going to be a good one, I think, uh to watch out for. Um yeah, but we’re still waiting for the big boys or the world tour riders to finish. We still have the Rwanda home hero as the current hot seat and uh yeah, he’s going to be hopefully soaking up all all the time here uh in that hot seat because I think Floren Vsh is definitely going to end that time in the hot seat very quickly unfortunately. But who knows, anything can go wrong here. You can get a puncture in the wrong time. So yeah, Michael Leonard is the next rider to start now. of the Inios Grandad is rider 21 years young could have been at the under 23 uh world championships as well if you wanted to and has elected not to do it. So yeah, good good by him. He’s the national champion elite. I think he is the youngest ever one as well in Canada. Uh let me just double check that as well. I think he is. But, uh, Michael Leonard, very strong talent as we know, and we’ll see what he can do here. Uh, very much what Inos is banking on in terms of getting some real big success and swing that pendulum of the Grand Tour scene. Um, yeah, obviously with a AJ August as well, but I think with Del Toro, they’re going to struggle. They’re absolutely going to struggle to swing that back because uh yeah, anyone watching the tour of Austria, he absolutely made mince meat of AJ August. Anyways, he’s not there, but Del Toro is. But we were talking about the Canadian National Championships because we are watching Michael Leonard here trying to do his best. Very strong riding as the clock normally national champion. As we said, the most wins for the national championships in Canada is very high. It’s sin tuft 11 championships. Wow. Uh, yeah. What’s he doing now? Is he DS somewhere? Finished his last year in 2019 with Rally Cycling before retiring, hanging the wheels up. And uh, yeah, very robust rider when he was riding for Oracle Green Edge, but he’s not here, wasn’t he? He did quite well at the World Championships if I’m not mistaken. Yeah, he finished second in 2008. So, is that the best Canadian result we’ve had in a World Championships time trial? H I think it might be. I think it might be. Rhonda, please correct me if I’m wrong as well. Any Canadians as well, but great to have so many people here in the chat. Let us know where you’re watching from as well. We are just going down uh as we do on this channel. Rabbit holes of stats. Uh you know, I love a good stat and right now I’m trying to search for the youngest ever winner for the Canadian National Time trial championships. How niche is that? But I can tell you it is not Michael Leonard this year despite being 21 years and 93 days when he won it. That is nowhere close to the youngest. The youngest senior winner is Jocelyn Lavell winning it back 18 years. And uh yeah, that was quite a number of years ago. So quite impressive that. Um yeah, pretty impressive. So yeah, Lavell is the youngest ever winner back in 1969. 18 years and 341 days. Who would have told you that fact other than me because I’m being very weird. Uh but yeah, there you have it. Michael Leonard, we’re going to see if he’s going to put a benchmark down here at the World Championships in Rwanda. Kali, next to start is Darren Rafati of Ireland. Is he the national time trial champion of Ireland right now? He’s the he was the road race champion last year but maybe no he was third third Ryan Mullen obviously Ryan Mullen he’s doing a very good job in the time trials but yeah we’re getting Floren Vsh come to the second intermediate time check he’s going to be I think more than a minute quicker than inigi ywam yubam yongam the Rwanda home hero who started first um but yeah Floren mesh is absolutely destroying the time here. So, we are going to get a new benchmark. Uh, it’s going to be inside a minute though. So, it’s not more than a minute. The clock hasn’t stopped yet. It stopped now 51 seconds quicker for Floren Bomesh. So, he’s setting the new benchmark, the first world tour rider. And I mean, this is kind of what we’re expecting because they are world tour riders for a reason. But, uh, yeah, we’ll see what happens. Darren Rafetti, he is starting. I mean, he’s had a bit of a whirlwind in terms of travel in the last month. He came he was at the tour of Poland. He went to the Britannia Classic. Then he went to Mariland Cycling Classic. Then he went to the GP Quebec and Montreal. Didn’t finish any of the races in North America. And now he’s in Kegali. So, a bit of a world tour race or whirlwind for him. Um, yeah, that Britannia Classic was quite interesting. Anodilli is absolutely on monster form. He’s back. He is absolute back. Winning uh yeah the Bratannia Classic, winning the GP Wonia, winning the Super Eight Classic as well. He’s not at the World Championship, Anna Dilly or the Europeans, but I think he’s going to just be hoovering up results as he normally does in kind of the autumn season. Such a impressive rider. 36.5 km still left for Michael Leonard here. Next rider to start is Darren Rafety as we said. So they’re yeah protagoning stats a bit ahead of the TV coverage for on my end anyway. Uh so we’ll wait and see. Darren Rafety, can he do something here? Ireland and time travel trolling success in the world championships. Does it ring a bell? Nico Roach? Definitely not. Dan Martin, definitely not. Ryan Mullen maybe a top 10 in the worlds. Um yeah, if any Irish are in the chat, let us know as well. Uh yeah, also like whatever country you’re from, let us know your favorite moment of your country’s performances at the time trial. Obviously, mine is Denmark. They’re not here, which we’ve talked about earlier, but uh yeah, favorite Danish moment. I mean, we had was it Rasmus Quel was quite high up, the man with the a very elegant mustache. We’ve had um I think wasn’t am I confusing Caspian clans with the European Championships but we’ve had a few results in the top 10. I don’t think Denmark has ever meddled in the elite that I can remember but yeah we’re seeing Michael Leonard here on his Pinarello. Are they going to be stopping that Pinarello uh collaboration that might be seizing to exist here? So yeah, there might be a bit of a merrygoround in terms of the bike brands in the offseason, but Floren Vimesh enjoying himself at the front here or on the downhill. The Belgian is going to be setting the first benchmark for his national team. We’ve got Vana and his team as well. And obviously they’ve also got Remco Venopolo, the three-time world time trial champion, Olympic time trial champion, national champion as well. All at the same time, only missing the European. if he could win the European as well, then he would have the full house. Um, yeah, we will wait and see what happens here in the race, but we still have our Rwanda home hero at the well on on the finish line sitting pretty and Van is the next ride to start. So, Belgian will have two riders on the course. So, two riders. Then we got Raul Garcia, the arca writer for writer for Spain obviously and Matteos Breo as well starting in about five minutes time. So in about five minutes time we’re going to get our first real big TT specialist I would say. So yeah there’s a lot to look forward to now. Um yeah Space is saying is Pinorella going to Q36.5? Yes because I think one of their investors are yeah owns that. So yeah, the kind of the business reasons it’s going to go there. And uh yeah, who are they with now? They’re with Scott. And the funny thing is with Pitcock going to Q36.5, Scott couldn’t afford to have them and DSM. So that meant that DSM post uh postNL lost the contract with Scott the bike because they were taking Pecock and Q36.5. So Peacock moving to Inos meant that DSM lost their bike brand which is I find quite funny and they now who did the ride on La Pierre I think if I’m not mistaken. Uh where is Bingo? Good question. Where is Bingo? Yeah. Uh there was rumors that he was going to be starting but yeah ho. Uh but he is going to the European Championship so that is something I guess that is something for us to be happy about. Uh Raul Garcia is the next rider to start. As we talked about, Rahul Garcia and time triing doesn’t really ring a bell if I’m honest. He’s a he’s been in the breakaway I mean in the perig good time trial he was 123rd but I mean he had been in a breakaway the day before. So maybe just taking a bit easy in the can time trial he was 17th. He was third in the national championships in Spain. Abel uh Baldstone he actually won that the man who was quite prominent in terms of uh the welter this year 13th overall riding for Caral but is not going to the time trial but he is going to the road world championships so yeah interesting why not just do the time trial as well anyways R guess will probably be quite happy that he’s getting his chance of doing this so yeah should be a good on to say the least. Um yeah, we’re going to see something happening in terms of this race deeper into it. Obviously, we’re going to see many of riders trying to do something um get a top 10, a top 10 in a in a a world time trial championships goes a long way as well. And especially if your contract’s out, this is a great platform to put yourself up. Raul Garcia obviously is moving to Mistar, so he doesn’t really need it. He’s the next R to start. We can see him now. uh his yeah he’s riding with a hel helmet of course and if people don’t know that as well they aren’t riding with they are riding with their own kit their own kit um from the team Stuart listening from Japan I will actually be in Japan soon so uh maybe do a meet up there but uh Floren Bomesh is uh yeah looking like he’s absolutely setting the benchmark on every single ride so uh every single time check. That’s what we’re saying. But great job over 200 people in the chat and we’re very early on as well. So, um yeah, and everyone getting up early as well. I can appreciate that as well. I mean, with the Tokyo World Championships a athletics, I’m feeling that a bit having to get up early to see some of the things or stay up late. But 8.5 kilometers left of Floren Bamesh the UAE rider uh representing Belgium trapped between Tarbaga and Remco Veniple. Uh teammates with Remco in the national team, teammates with Tagacha in the trade team. So yeah, caught between a rock and a hard place, but I think his allegiances is with the highest bidder and that is of course UA memorates paying his salary. Uh what are we saying as Phil? Mr. OG cycling says great name by the way. Uh, who thinks Paul Sixax will win the tour in the next four years? Uh, I don’t think so in the next four years. I mean, Tyachi, Yonis Bingold, that’s the reasons why they won’t. So, I don’t know. We’ll see. But it would be interesting. Uh, Stuart, where and when? Uh, back end of November. Yeah. And uh I think it’s just all the traditional tourism anyone does in uh Japan I guess. But uh yeah, we’re seeing the Belgian flag here at the finish line. Floren Vsh is riding on his colono doing a very good job here and I think he is going to be our new hot seat sitter. We were talking about all kinds of different things. Tour of Luxembourg is happening as well. That’s going to be settled today. Is it going to be the 83 86th victory for UAT members? And that would also mean that they break the record of HTC Colombia back in 2000. Oh, they have. They won it. They won it. It’s over. It’s done. Final victory. Uh going to uh yeah, Brandon. Uh yeah. So uh so America has won the overall in the Torah Luxembourg about 20 minutes ago. Skil Morse losing out there and Roman Gregoire winning the final one. I wonder if Gregoire is going to go to the world. No, he’s not. Um maybe didn’t like the course. Ben Healey as well, second in the stage. Tauros Slovakia as well won by Paul Dobble of all people for Jacob Alula. So that’s a very very popular win for him. and he’s joining two verse bike riders on the podium as well. But back to the world time trial championships. We’ll see what happens here. But uh it’s looking very very good here for uh Floren Vsh at least sit there for quite a while here. Quite a while. And um yeah, we have got plenty of riders starting as well. Paul says coming up very shortly. We’ll see what he can do. Very strong rider as we know. Phenomenal talent. Skipping the under 23 category. And uh yeah, for sure he’s the youngest guy here. For sure he’s the youngest. Uh let’s just check proact stats. Have we got youngest competitors? Maybe if I go start list. There we go. Start list. Youngest and oldest. So let’s find out. Paul says youngest um by by about almost a year. Dtorm Moot is the sen youngest. Is this from South Sudan? That flag. Uh yeah, South Sudan. And yeah, who else? The oldest is a rider from Tanzania. Uh 41 years young. So quite quite a big gap between the youngest and oldest in this race. We’re getting the Chinese rider coming up to the finish of Leu. Liu is outside the time by quite a lot. So yeah, not going to be challenging the time of the Rwanda home hero, but it is looking very good. Um, a Stuart, you’re not there in Japan. What a shame. Next time, I guess. Uh, what are we saying as well? Does anyone know why Gay is doing the road race? I mean, to try and win, I guess I’ll be a representative of I would say the biggest African rider. I mean him Louis Monkeys I think it’s still Binnie. Um yeah the Chinese writer is going to be outside one hour here. So outside 1 hour. Many of you wait we could do a new vote as well because plenty of you have voted. So let’s ask you guys um let’s see. Let’s see. Do you guys Well, we shouldn’t really do a tour to France uh poll should we? Jurgger World Championships. Um, yeah. What are we saying? No place for Yonas in this World Championships. No place for Denmark. Denmark decided not to send a team, which is uh, yeah, bad. So, we think Isaac Del Toro is super young, which he is. He’s 21 years young, but Michael Leonard is actually younger. So, Michael Leonard is about 110 days younger than Isaac Del Toro. We have uniquely we in this race we have the under 20 we have the junior world time trial champion from last year Paul Cesax we have the under 23 world champion from last year Ian Romeo and then we have the world champion obviously of Remco Venipole so all the guys who won the world championships in the in the male men’s um yeah they’re all in the same race now so really the battle of the best in terms of that so we will see who will emerge victorious. I mean, Darren Rafford is quite young as well. He’s only 22. He’s been on the world tour. This is his second year now. And uh yeah, pretty impressive by him. But we’ll wait and see who is going to be able to do something here. Laurant Jves is the first North American rider to come to the finishing line. I think he’s going to be second fastest. But uh Floren Vime just making himself Yeah. coming towards the finish as much as possible. Um yeah, who have we got coming up next? We’ve got Artim Nish. Uh he is looking very good. The Russian rider, he is where is he? Okay, he’s tumbling down the times because courtesy of Floren Mesh now. But I think the Russian rider could maybe get the fastest time provisionally before maybe. Let’s see. Um, but we’ve got Luan Juves coming towards the finish now. I think he’s going to slot into maybe second. Yeah, I think he’s going to be second fastest on the road uh currently. So, yeah, 42 seconds down on the Rwanda National time trial champion. Marus Schmidt is the next rider to start. Oh, Paul Cesax. Paul Sesax. Uh, so Paul Sax, this is going to be a big big eye opener to see where his talent where he is right now. Uh so yeah, what can he do here? The youngest man in the race. Can he do something here? This is going to be spectacular. I mean, I think he should have maybe just gone to the under 23 one and won that and then uh gone to the elite next year, but I mean, yeah, I don’t know. I I would have gone to the under 23. I think better chance of winning world championships than winning this one. But uh Luke Plop, he is on the course here. The uh triple Australian time trial champion, winning the last two years. Very good rider against the clock. He was very good in the Perig Good time trial as we said, finishing fifth there. And we’ll see what he can do. He’s got 37.7 km still to go here up the stage. And uh yeah, this is going to be a good one for Loop Plot. He might be our next benchmark I think. I think but it could also be Matteo Sabreo. Depends how how they pace this. Uh depends like what they favor as well. But Matteo Sabreo is on the course as well. So I think Matteo Sabreo is going to have the next benchmark and then maybe Luke Plop is going to take it after. Uh Floren Vimesh is getting closer to that cobble climb towards the end and that is going to be interesting to see if how much he has put in to the Rwanda national time trial champion as well by the time he gets to the finish. But Floren Vimesh is definitely going to send the first or the next benchmark on this time trial. Maros Schmidt is the next rider. Um 2 minutes and is it 2 minutes and 30 seconds between the riders. Andreas Lechnes, the most northern pro in the world, I think, uh, from Tonso. He’s coming up as well. He’s the 16th last rider to start. So, we’re getting very close to the top 10 seed riders. So, plenty of things to look forward to here on on this time trial. And yeah, if you haven’t already, smash the like button. Let’s try and get to 100. We’re on 54 and we’re four times as many. And of course, if you’re new here, why not subscribe to the channel as well? But, uh, Marish Schmidt, the next rider to start. Marish Schmidt, time traveling. Does anything ring a bell there? I mean, he has, uh, done some solid efforts in the past. Uh, we also have Brian Tamir. He’s got the third fastest time through the first intermediate time check. We’ve got Michael Leonard was second through that, 14 15 seconds behind Floren Vamesh. So Floren Mamesh has set the fast the benchmark here even with some world tour caliber coming through as well. So um but I think the next test for him is going to be Vaniel Sabbrero I think so is going to be the first real test uh to be honest. So for uh Vomesh to keep those times as well, but Floren Vsh doing a good effort here on the climb. Uh called Nago. I mean Taragacha is the one we’re waiting for for UAT Emirates. They certainly could do something here. I think they could. Um yeah, I think this could be very very interesting to be honest, but we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. It’s looking very very good for Versh just to keep it. He’s got 1.9 km still to go. 51 minutes into his ride already. Um yeah, next fighters we’re looking at Lchnison coming up. Is Lexus the Norwegian National Trial Champion? He’s been the European champion in the under 23 category. He’s been a two-time national time trial champion, but he wasn’t the national time trial champion from this year. I would expect that was to be as fast, but he was second. Yeah. To be as fast, the former world champion who is not in the in the national team. He’s not on the start line. And it’s a shame cuz I think this course maybe could fit him. So, uh yeah, if he’s not feeling it, if he’s not on form, injuries, etc., etc., he’s had a long season. He was at the tour France. Um yeah, so maybe just need a bit of a downtime after that. But next rider is the final Rwanda rider, Mugisha. And big cheer from the crowd here. We’ll see what he can do here. Former national time trial champion as well. And yeah, for sure we all understand why Ghana is not doing it. Uh let’s see what Plap’s time is. Plap is going to be a real key metric. him and so they’re coming up towards the finish. Oh, the first intermediate time check, not the finish. Um, yeah, Vaniela crosses it and he is the new fastest time. So, Ian Vaniela, new fastest time. So, there we have it. Ian Vaniela, new fastest time. So, yeah, that is very interesting. Vaniela doing a good effort there. But, uh, yeah, Matteo Cantano coming up as well. Not shortly. 24 minutes. The world junior, no, the under 23 world time trial champion in 21 minutes. Isaac Del Toro in about 15 minutes time. Will Barta, the American, is he the only American? Surely not. Well, Brandon McNel was too busy winning the tour of Luxembourg, but uh yeah, we’ll see what happens here. Vana is going to be strong here. We will wait and see. But uh yeah, Floren Vamesh, he’s definitely going to be a new benchmark. I think he’s got 900 m left. He’s well inside the time of the Rwanda National Title Champion. So, uh yeah, this is going to be heartbreak for the Rwanda fans, but he had a quite a long stint here in that in that time. Uh I think about 40 minutes in the hot seat. So, not too bad. Not too bad at all. And we’ll wait and see what he can do here. But uh yeah, Floren Vsh doing a very good job here just to keep it up, just to push it on. And uh maybe we will see some big results here later on from the Belgian team with Recover Veripool. Obviously, he’s going to want to uh take a win outright. A third victory in the row. has this impressive record of not finishing outside the podium whether it be the the junior or the um yeah the senior because he only did that one junior in insbrook and then went straight into the senior. So yeah, we’ll see what he can do here. We’ll see what he can do. But uh it’s looking very very tidy for the Belgian team right now and they will have the hot seat. I think he’s going to take maybe two minutes. Is it going to be two minutes here? He’s coming up towards the finish now. Floren Vimsh. Plenty of Belgian flags there. It’s Yeah, he’s going to have more than a minute for sure. I think it’s going to stop around 1 minute 40 seconds. Uh 50 seconds. 1 minute 51 seconds faster. So, he’s the new benchmark now. Just inside 54 km now. 54 minutes. So, yeah. Next ride to start, Andreas Lechnes. So Norway, they could get their riders here with a TC bike, but Denmark didn’t. So that poor form, Denmark, poor form. Um, yeah, but they they it’s it’s looking interesting here. We’ll see what happens now. Uh, for the Andreas Lechnus here, no to Foss as we talked about, but uh, yeah, it’s interesting nonetheless. Luke Plap 10 about 10 11 minutes into his effort. He’s got 31.8 kilometers still to go. Luke Plap the double or triple I guess. Uh national time trial champion. Where is he going to set his first benchmark here on the intermediate time track? Is he going to be the first benchmark? Matteoso comes through before him. So uh that is going to be a bit more interesting maybe. Matteo Sabreo uh very very good rider former been national champ or been yeah he’s been national champion before so maybe he’s going to be able to do it here we’ll wait and see but uh we’re following um Michael Leonard as well who’s sitting inside the top three as well so maybe he will be able to do something here maybe uh we’ll see we’ll see what he can do Um yeah, but uh Michael Leonard looking very strong here. He’s looking quite strong. Maybe he will be able to do something spectacular, but I don’t see it. He’s still very young. He should have gone for the under 231, shouldn’t he? Uh Robert Shark saying, “Can people stop calling McNi McFalty?” Yeah, it’s a bit harsh, isn’t it? He’s very good rider. Very good TT rider. Very good at these oneweek stage races to take them. Didn’t he win the tour of Valenciana as well? Was it this year or the year before? But 20 km still to go here for Michael Leonard. What can he do? Uh FT Bicycling is asking where is Binnie? There is no Binnie in this race. Binnie is going to be there for the road race. So, uh yeah, we’ll see what happens. But uh Luke Clap is doing a good job here just keeping the momentum up, pushing on as much as possible. And next rider to start is who’s this? We’ve got Down from South Africa. So he’s the next rider to start. We talked a bit about him before. Continental rider. Um yeah, so Vimesh faded a bit uh as Robert Shark said in the cobbles, but he had a lot of margin. Yeah, that’s true. Uh Floren Vesh, I think that his time in the hot seat is going to be numbered as well with who’s coming up towards that uh finish. He’s got uh who’s he got troubling him? I think he’s got a few minutes in the hot seat, but Van Builder is going to be taking that. He’s coming down to the descent here. Um, when’s the road race? The road race is next week. Next week. So, Paul Cesak coming up to that time check as well very shortly. Uh, we’ve got Raul Garcia finishing fifth on the first intermediate time check. So, not really troubling Ian Manilda. Monteo so 24 seconds slower than Manilda. Oh guys, I was wrong. I was wrong. I thought this was going to be a a real tester, the real benchmark, but no, no, no, no, no. So that was a a surprise and a half. Yeah. So Luke Plap, that’s probably the next benchmark for that first intermediate time check. Obviously, there is the caveat of what strategies they’ve gone. Has Van Vilda gone too hard out? You never know cuz they don’t want to show us the Watts, which uh yeah, I can understand, but not really. Uh I really want to see the Watts because then you can get a bit of an idea of their pacing strategy. We were talking about that a bit earlier than uh someone I know who’s close to someone close to JVine. Yeah, really long drawn uh uh link there, but saying that Jvine going for around 420 watts. Is that right? Is that wrong? Who knows? You guys were saying 475 watts for Taragacha maybe for that hour. Uh so there’s going to be some big watts here on show. Jay Bine very strong last year. Top five in the world championships, but also crashed on that race. So imagine if he hadn’t crashed. Beat Ghana almost. So he didn’t beat Ghana but he came close finishing second by one second in the world taspa and uh yeah what can he do here that remains to be seen but Luke Plab obviously the Australian team they’re very strong in the TT discipline Rowan Dennis two-time champion in the past MC Rogers three or four um so yeah we’ll see what yeah I think three wasn’t it three titles so Luke Plap is down on Van Vaniela. So Luke Plap is down. He’s outside the time of Vana. So Vaniela’s time is really good here. Van Vilda has really put the marker down here for the rest of riders. Luke PL outside it. He’s got 19 seconds. 19 seconds down. And yeah, this is looking quite tasty now for Vanera to sit there for quite a while if he can close it all the way to the finish. But obviously, as you said, uh, Besh losing time, but h we’re seeing riders absolutely just racing through this course. Ooh, Mong the South African very close to the time of mesh here at the second intermediate time check. So yeah, maybe Vamesh can be unseated by a non world tour rider. Um yeah, we will wait and see. We will wait and see. It’s very close here. South African about six seconds, seven seconds slower than Vamesh. So, it’s not uh it’s not over for the non world tour riders here. So, we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. But for the time being, we’re seeing another rider here, Michael Leonard, a world tour rider. Uh Canadian Inos Grande as we know. We’ll see where he can finish here as well. But we’re getting closer to the Henipia end in terms of the contenders now where next rider is the 13th rider to start or the 13th last rider to start with Will Barta the American is he the American national time trial champion. I believe that is Brendan McNalty if I’m not mistaken. Um but Will Barta certainly a good rider against the clock. He has been second place in the past. I think it is Brendon McNeli. Is it not? It is. No, it’s Autumn Schmidt is the current American national time trial champion. I mean, that’s what happens when you put the national championships in May. Many of these riders probably uh yeah, racing somewhere else. So, getting back to America might be very inconvenient. But Barta, we’ll see what he can do here against the clock. Where was it the year before? Uh the year before May as well. Okay, maybe May is just when the national championships ah it was in June in 2023. The American National Championship seems to be a bit erratic. Sometimes May, sometimes June, but uh Michael Leonard is going to get a better time than Floren Vsh. So the Canadian has just flipped it. He’s flipped it. He was down on the MSH on the first one, but he has taken the fastest time now provisionally. 46 seconds quicker than Floren Bamesh. So Floren Vsh has been unseated by two out of the three intermediate time checks that he has. But yeah, that is not going to last much longer. The Canadian absolutely hoovering up the road here. And how much was he down on the first intermediate check? I think he was down by 15 seconds. So there was a bit of a swing on the next climb there. So maybe that’s TT Specialist versus non TTG specialist there. Um, Johnny Vermesh going a bit too hard out maybe, who knows? But for the time being, he’s doing a very good job here. Uh, 46 seconds quicker than Versh. So, I think Vermesh, his time is going to be over, not by his countryman, but by uh, Michael Leonard. So, uh, next interesting one to look out for is going to be Van Vilda. How he compares to Michael Leonard. And we before that, we’ve got Ryan Tame, we got Darren Rafati. I think Van Vielder is about to catch Darren Rafi as well. Matios Breo in there. Um yeah, but who knows now? Now that Yeah, that first intermediate time track is a bit Yeah, all over the place. Paul Cesax. Oh my goodness. Paul Cesax, the junior world time tri champion and to Lavan winner. Um yeah, he is looking very good here as well. uh second place on the first intermediate time check and that is looking very good here. We’ll wait and see. Are we going to see Paul Sesax um getting closer? I mean, he should have gone to the 123 if we’re honest. Just get that world title, but it’s looking like that’s not going to happen here. Oh, he’s not going. Mar Schmidt. He’s coming to up towards that first intermediate time check as well. Is he gonna be doing an interesting time here? The Swiss man. Uh the Swiss rider. I can’t see him inside the top 10. So maybe they haven’t registered the time yet. Andreas Lechnes as well coming shortly. Will Bar as we said started. We have Mikall Hyderamman which I must admit that name does not ring a bell to me. So, we’ll get to know him as well. He’s 27 years young, three times second place at the German National Time Trial Championships, riding for the Rembe Ratnet uh continental team, or he was, he’s not riding for anyone right now, and was part of the German national team, I believe, in the Needle Dutchland Tour about a month ago. So, yeah. So second place at the national time champ Championships in Germany qualified him for this. So anyways, Riot Tame is outside the time of Michael Leonard by quite a bit. So that’s not going to be troubling him at all. I mean Paul Sizzax, the junior world time trial champion is going to be trying to get in the midst of these bigger names in the time trial. uh his top 10 in the doofan time trial earlier this year was quite impressive and winning time trials in the total near obviously against his his um yeah peers in terms of the under23 category but then being up here uh really going for it against the big boys but uh Arenman is coming up very shortly as well he’s the next rider to start the 11th last rider then we got Isaac Del Toro after him and of course Isaac Del Toro can’t do be national champion because that doesn’t exist. So, uh, bit of a shame, but great to have 230 people in the chat. Let us know where you’re watching from as well. Smash the like button if you haven’t already and subscribe to the channel as we’ll do the road race as well uh next week. That should be very interesting. And we got a recap after the race of this one afterwards with Patrick Blake. But for the time being, we’re waiting for the second place finisher of the Jigitalia of Isaac Del Toro. We’re waiting for the uh Irish national time trial champion. The under23 world time trial champion from last year. Ian Romeo, did he do the national time trial in Spain? Yeah, he did. He finished fourth. What happened there? He’s of course the national champion on the road. But Artim Nish, the Russian rider riding in blank colors, he’s coming towards the finish here outside the time of Floren Bamesh, but a good account for himself. the former gasprom rider and not able to ride in his own country’s colors unfortunately, but we all know the wider reason for that. I don’t have to explain that. Uh but uh yeah, we’re just seeing the time checks coming in as well. Paul says, that’s going to be interesting. Marish Schmidt outside the top 10 on that first intermediate time check. Um yeah, so Nish is our second rider here. So, the Russian rider is second provisionally, but I think all those times are going to be blown apart by the time we get to Michael Leonard. Michael Leonard is hoovering up riders here on the road. Um, when Vilda is the next rider to come to that intermediate time check, too. So, this will really show how competitive that time of Michael Leonard is. So, maybe we will see that happen. But, um, yeah. Michael Leonard looking very solid right now. Could be could be a good one this if we’re honest. Uh Bon Byron Muton the South African rider second place right now on the third intermediate time check. So the South African 35 seconds down on Floren Mish. So he was only what was it 7 seconds down on the second intermediate time check. So he’s really just b lost it a bit there. Great to have Eric Brown in the chat as well. Great to have so many of our channel members here as well. So many familiar names and uh yeah, of course, we got plenty of things coming up on the channel. So, all the more a reason to hang around. But uh we’re getting a result from Germany as well. Miguel Hyderman was actually also at the Ger at the World Championships last year. He finished 20th. Uh Leonard Keo was the best result in 2018 in 2023, 18th. The best result they’ve had was 2016 when Tony Martin won. So Tony Martin uh of course their best rider. But Vana here coming up towards the second intermediate time check and he’s well inside the time of Michael Leonard here. So 42 seconds. Wow. Vana is destroying this course right now. He’s still got the fastest time on the first intermediate time check here. Surviving Luke Plap and Matteo Sabo. The next ride to start is Isaac Del Toro Romero. And we’ll see what the Mexican can do in his first elite world championships. He was at the World Championships last year and Zurich finished 12th in the under23 category in the time trial there and sixth in the road race. I believe it was that way around. But we’ll see what he can do. And Isaac Del Toro, Paul Sizak, is that going to be one of those new rivalries to come? Mexican versus French. That could well and truly be what we’re waiting for. And Lechnesen, the Norwegian from Tomsu has set the new fastest time on the first intermediate time track. The Uno X rider, remember him? Former top 10 finisher at the Juralia, former Malia Rosa, and he has got the fastest time on the first intermediate time track. 14 minutes and 58 seconds. This is a very, very good time by him. And we’ll see if he can keep it all the way to the finish. Um yeah, this will be interesting. Um but uh for the time being, Luke Plap looking very good as well. We’re waiting for that second intermediate time check. Um and uh yeah, Ry Ral Garcia up there as well. Matteo Sabre getting closer to that intermediate time check here. Luke Plap, we talked about him. Paul Sax, is he if Paul Ces catches Luke Plop, that would be amazing, but I’m not sure that’s going to happen. Uh results, we’re waiting. We’re going to see what Michael Leonard can do. Um he’s of course getting closer to not the well the third time check he passed that with flying colors uh 36 seconds quicker than Floren Vsh but we’re just waiting to see if he’s going to be able to hold on to that after Vanera who is absolutely flying on this course right now. So we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. It is looking very tasty in terms of who’s going to be winning this uh time trial. But I mean, the big boys are probably not even warming up yet, are they? They got Well, no, no, they are for sure. They’re for sure warming up. Uh 17 19 minutes until we see the big boys coming. So, of course, they are. Uh next rider to start. And we got Red Bull rider here. Uh that is Ryan Mullen for Red Bull Borah TT Specialist as we know. Uh multiple national time trial champion for Ireland. What can he do here? Brian Mullen, he’s been at the World Championships in the past a few times. Is he going to be able to do something? Can he catch Isaac Del Toro? That would be quite a scalp if he could do that. So, we will wait and see. In terms of our poll as well, 52% of you have gone for the birthday boy of Tatabaga. Oh my goodness. 97 of you have voted. That’s quite a lot. So, let’s start a new poll here. Um, yeah. Who maybe we go for the road race? Uh where will like where will where will T buga finish? Let’s just say that. Do you think he’s going to be first, second? I don’t think he’s going to be anything other than that, I think, or other. So, there you go. Birthday boy. We’ll put him as the subject of the poll. We need 35 of you to hit the like button as well to get us to 100. Let me hit the like button as well because I don’t think I’ve done that. Uh but the next rider we’re seeing is Raul Garcia coming up to the second intermediate time check. The man who is moving to Mistar at the well start of the year next year. It should be very good to see. Okay. I voted for I voted for Tigatcha to win. Um he would be the first man to hold both titles since Ram Keniple and I’ve hit the like button as well. So there you go. So I’m in it with you. But Luke Plap, what can he do here? He’s the man who finished second in the junior world championships time trial to Remco Veniple back in 2018 in Insburg, Austria. But next riders to start, who have we got? Ivan Romeo, the under23 world time trial champion and Spanish road national champion. What can he do here? Fourth in his national championships. Very solid riders to say the least. But is he going to be able to do something? We will wait and see. But Floresh still in the hot seat here. But for how much longer? 17 minutes until we see the man, the myth, the legend of Tarbagatcha. Well, Remco Veniple and then Tarbagacha before him. Um, yeah, if Remco Veniple wanted to make a statement, he would need to catch Taragacha, but I don’t think that’s happening. Let’s be honest. Remco Venopol probably a bit annoyed that he got caught by Yonas Bingo in the Peragoot time trial. And yeah, the rider we’re looking at now is who’s this? Ian Romeo. Ian Romeo is starting the movie star rider. The future of Spanish time traveling, I would say. What can he do here? Very solid. Um, yeah, very solid season for his first world tour season. But we’re seeing Matteo So coming up to the second intermediate time track. Well outside the time of Ian Manilda. So maybe he’s not feeling that great. Um he’s going to be outside 47 seconds here. What where is he going to stop the clock? Third third fastest right now. 40 almost 50 seconds down. He’s not changing that. So is not a feature in this race. Jine, we’re seeing him. What can he do? Very strong rider in the TT. Very strong rider in the climbs as well. Won the mountains jersey. He took stage wins as well. So he’s had a very very good year to say the least and can make it even better. Maybe maybe he can make it even better here. So we’ll wait and see what he can do. But Matteo Katanio is coming up next. The man who’s moving to Red Bull Bansro together with teammate Remco Veniple. And yeah 34 years young. Um how many times has he done the world championships? This is his first world championship. Oh second second. He was eighth in 2023. Uh so quite a solid time trial there to say the least. He’s been in the world in the European Championships as well. So he’s he’s got a bit of pedigree when it comes to the TT. Um third in the men’s TT back in 2024 in the European one. Uh finishing behind his teammate of Afini and Stefan Kung. But Luke Plap, what is he going to be doing here? He’s not really been setting the time sheets too much al light here. Cano is also part of the mix relay team. So that should be quite an interesting one. Luke Platt part of that. Jvine, Michael um Michael Matthews as well. So quite a few uh solid riders there. Solid teams. I think the Australian team probably will win again. Maybe the Dutch team. Let’s see. Oh, the Dutch team aren’t sending a team. Oh well. Anyways, back to the World Championships time trial. So, what are we saying? A poll for third place. Yeah, maybe we should do a poll for third place. Actually, that’s a good one. Vera, that’s our next poll. So, when we get to 100 votes, we’re going to go who’s going to be finishing third. I think Jvine could be our third place finisher, maybe. Luke Plappier, he’s coming up to the second intermediate time check. He’s going to be stopping the clock in about Yeah, they didn’t even show us the stop clock. 33 seconds slower than Ian Vaniela. So Van Viela is on a flyer here. He’s absolutely on a flyer. Um next rider to start is Walt Vargas of Colombia. Colombia. The sixtime Pan-American champion and also three-time national time trial champion of Colombia. Obviously the national time trial camp champion right now is Egon Banal who did the double of winning the time trial championships and the road race early in the year but it is Walter Vagas who is doing it. I think Egal is here for the road race. So strange that he couldn’t be bothered to do this race as well but nevertheless Vargas is happy about that. Um recently finished second in a time trial as well. 8 seconds down to uh Rodrigo Contas uh the former Quickstep guy, former Estana guy as well or Quickstep. No. Yeah, Quickstep. He was a quick step. 34 31 years young, bit an up and down career in terms of that. But yeah, we’ll see what happens here. We’ll see what happens for the Colombian Walt Vargas. But we’re seeing Isaac Del Toro, the face of Latin America, I would say, right now in terms of cycling. the golden generation of Colombia kind of disappearing a bit unfortunately and Isaac Del Toro filling the void. But Jvine is our next rider now. Jay Vine 2 minutes and 45 seconds until we see him start. Um yeah, maybe we’ll do a poll for Jvine. Where do you think Jvine is going to be finishing? Um I can he maybe not. Uh yeah. Who will finish third? Third place. Will it be Jine? Will it be Bruno Amarai? Uh it could be Sax as well, let’s be honest. Uh will it be Kung? Stefan Kung. But we’re we’re seeing Paul Zesak on the road here. What can he do? He’s coming on to the second to me to check. He’s outside the time of unbielder. So yeah, maybe should have gone for the under 23 title. Um yeah, I’m not quite sure the reasoning. Is he just trying to replicate what Dra Veniple did? Quite a hard feat to say the least, but skipping 23. Casper, as we said, very tough course as well. Maybe that’s why he thought he could do a good one here. But uh yeah, Paul Cesak coming up to the second intermediate time check. It’s going to be well outside the time of Yan Valdera. And this is going to be the fourth fastest time on the second intermediate time check. So Paul Sax losing a bit of time. Andreas Lechnes is the next interesting one because he has the fastest intermediate time track. We’re seeing Remco Ein Paul is uh warming up here. And this is going to be a very exciting one for the Olympic, national, and world time trial champion right now. He is going to want and do a real big statement here if he can. Who knows how he’s feeling, but we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. Um, yes, Stefan Kung, can he do something in here on this challenging course? That is another question as well. Um, yeah, plenty of riders uh looking to do a good time here. Jaybine the next ride to start in about 30 40 seconds time. Tabaga on on the bike warming up as well or I think he has done his warm up. Not the greatest record in terms of world championship time trials. Tatabaga I mean if we take a quick look he’s finished 10th in his first one back in 2021. He was sixth in 2022 and then uh 2023 his last one he was 21st so 21st um yeah 21st uh very different course obviously different part of the season as well he’s had a big rest since the tour to France not doing the well to Espa will that hinder him I mean Remco Venipol didn’t do the well either uh we got Muton coming the South African I think he might just be taking the time of Floren Vsh here. So Floren Mamesh might just get unseated you guys saying as well he was losing a lot of time in the end but the South African is he going to be able to take the time? No, I think he’s going to be missing out. Oh, that was very close by. Yeah, Floren Vsh keeps it by two seconds. Jvine next rider. Jvine is the next rider here. Is he going to be able to do something here? Um, so, uh, yeah, Tyagacha, what’s he going to do? That remains to be seen. Kegali, a lot of buzz around him. Of course, we’re seeing Michael Leonard here coming towards the finish. He’s in well, he’s going to have probably a minute of an advantage over Floren Vsh. He’s uh, yeah, going to come up to the finish of the convention center. And it looks like this is going to be a good ride from the national Canadian time trial champion. Very nice kit as well. I quite like it. So, uh, yeah, where is he going to stop the clock? Every single second is important here. Floresh, his time in the hot seat is well and truly over. The 21-year-old Canadian Inos Gren project or superstar in the making is doing his best here. Um, is it going to be more than a minute here? He’s coming up towards the finish line. The finish line is quite a long way because obviously they have it’s a climb towards the finish but I think he’s going to have more than a minute. Yeah, more than a minute on uh Flosh. So 1 minute 10 seconds quicker. So good ride there by him. What is his next threat going to be? Why is the next threat going to be for him? I think the threat is going to come very quickly if we’re honest. Um, yeah, the next threat is going to be Vanielder. Vanielder would be the next threat, I would say. But a good ride for him. Uh, Isaac Del Toro, what is he doing? He’s got 30 kilometers still to go here. Where is he anywhere close to that first intermediate time check? Uh, he’s approaching it anyway. Uh, or he has just passed it, I think. But, uh, yeah, let’s see. Let’s see. Arensman as well. uh four fastest on the first intermediate time check. Uh Paul Cesac, as we said, we’re going to see where he uh stopped the clock on the third intermediate time check. Luke Plap is close to that third intermediate time check, but obviously he was a bit off the pace in the second intermediate time check. 33 seconds. But Isaac Del Toro here. Oo, Isaac Del Toro. Is this going to be a fast? He’s inside the time right now. He’s still got a bit of way to go, but he’s looks like he’s Ooh, Del Toro. Del Toro just set the fastest time, I think, on the first intermediate time. Isaac Del Toro sets the fastest time on that first intermediate time check. Wow, that is that is good. Wow. So, Del Toro is doing a banging job right now. Is he going to be able to continue this? Who knows? But Del Toro riding very well here compared to what he did at the under the junior under 23 one last year. Another one of the under 23 riders electing to skip that. Um Luke Plop second fastest in the in which one? The third intermediate time check here. So we’ll see what Luke Plop can do towards the finish line as well. I mean, Ryder is coming up. Vana is going to be the next really exciting one. We haven’t really got too much um cameras looking at him. So, we’ll see. Vana is going to be an interesting one here because he’s absolutely been lighting up all the the Yeah, lighting up all the stats here. But, uh yeah, for the time being, we will wait and see. But Isaac Del Toro pushing on here like his life depends on it. Will Bart, we missed him as well. He used 10th fastest on the first intermediate chime check. 40 seconds down on Isaac Del Toro. Next rider to start that we’re interested in. Well, we’re interested in all of them, but Stephan Kung coming up in the next 30 seconds. And there is the two big boys of Tarabagach and Remco. But Stefan Kung obviously a big rider as well. Bruno Mariah has started. So, the French national multiple champion is going to be an intriguing one to follow. So, uh, yeah, Isaac Del Toro really, really pushing here. What can the Mexican do? I can’t think of any Mexican doing well in the time trial championships. World time trial championship, shall I say? But, uh, yeah, next rider to start. Who’s this? This is of course Stefan Kung. Multiple medalist in terms of European Championships. very close to the win in the worlds as well, eluding him that rainbow jersey, but has been a two-time European champion. Really desperately wants a win. Can he do it here? We’ll wait and see. But, uh, yeah, looking like he could be challenging for a top five. Maybe. Maybe it’s too lumpy this one for him, but we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. It’s uh going to be a good one for sure for him. You would hope. You would hope. They’ve got knockoff Binger here. Uh Ryan Tame coming to the finish as well. Stopping with clock. Well, 25th. Well, 25th is his race number. But Isaac Del Toro, what is he going to do here? This is going to be a crazy good time maybe if he can keep this up. Um yeah, but Van Vilda, where is he? We’re wait. We’re looking out for Manielder cuz he’s the one the real challenging one. Uh Lechnus as well. Uh second intermediate time check. Lechnus was 6 seconds down on Manilder. So Manilder did get the better of Lechnus despite Lechnusen having a faster intermediate uh opening uh intermediate time check. But Lechnus very solid than Norwegian. But uh yeah, what is he going to be able to do by the final? So, Michael Leonard still leading this, but who is where is Vanieldder? Vana is the next rider to finish, I believe. So, Vaniela is going to be the next rider to do something here. Are we going to see something interesting happening? Who knows really? Who knows? Um, yeah, 25.6 km still to go for Isaac Del Toro. He’s on the fast section of this first after the first time check. Then you got the climb 6.6 kilometers at 3.5% up to the same climb but a different way up. Uh that’s where we have the second intermediate time track and the long downhill where they have the third one. But Andreas Lechnes certainly someone to look out for now. Luke Plap also we talked about him earlier. Um yeah Paul Szax where is he finding himself? He’s gone through the third intermediate time check. Paul Sysax fourth there as well. So I think it’s touch and go whether he’s going to be finishing inside the top 10 really. But Paul Sax, was it a mistake? Was it not? I think it’s still pretty good for him to uh do this. Let’s be honest. Good experience, but I I think the under 23 one would have been better. Vana here coming up towards the finisher. He’s going to be well inside the time of Michael Leonard. So this is going to be a good one for him. 1 minute 17 seconds inside uh Michael Leonard. So we have a new fastest time. Taga the tour to France champion has started. The tour to France champion has started here. The winner of the Paragu time trial. The last time trial I believe he did. And what is he going to do here? He has a nation’s hopes on his shoulders here. Slovenia have never won the national time trial championship or the world time trial championships. Primos Rugglitch has tried and failed, but is Tarovata going to do it? He’s number two on terms of the race number, but is he going to be number two by the time this time trial finishes and the medals are given out? Tarigatcha, nothing is impossible to this man. So, we’ll wait and see if he can become the first rider to win the double world time. Well, world championships he won last year, but can he win the world championships on in the time trial. As we said, he hasn’t got the best record in terms of the world championships and the time trial. Didn’t elect to go for it last year. He went the year before finishing 20 uh 21st. Has finished sixth as well in the past, but never medal in this discipline. So, even a medal would be a good result for him, but of course, he wants more. Vaniela leads this 1 minute 17 seconds down to uh Michael Leonard and then Vamesh 2 minutes and 27 seconds down. So Van Viela really putting a benchmark here 52 minutes and 22 seconds. So this is this is yeah this is different but uh yeah Van Vilda uh really just feeling the heat at the end of the race as well has a very similar frame to that of Remma Veniple. So sometimes they can be very aerodynamic both of them as well but Taragatcha coming around the corners here. What is he going to be able to do here? the best cyclist in the world many many years in a row. So we’ll see what he can do here. Very very good on the TT. Beaten Remco Venerable in the past, beaten Ghana in the past, but never in this kind of format. Now we have the golden helmet, the Olympic National and World Time trial champion is about to start. The man who has never finished outside the podium when it comes to a world time trial championships time trial. The man who was road road world champion in 2022. Remco Ieniple. Is he going to be able to do it for a third year in a row? He would love to do it. And is he going to do it on this the first African world uh championships in cycling? Who knows? But Remco Veniple, we’ll see what he can do. He’s taking a very carefully around the corners here. The pacing strategy, the first intermediate time check is going to be so eye opening here. But we’re still following the other riders on the road. It’s not just about Rebco Venipo and Tarabacha. And these guys have somewhat of a a rivalry. We can kind of build it out. But uh yeah, we’ve got Ian Romeo finishing seven or seven quickest on the intermediate time check. I think those two intermediate all the intermediate time checks are under threat here. Isaac Del Toro, is he coming close to the second one? We’re going to see if he has really lit it up. If his pacing strategy was on point or if he went out too quick here, that is something to ask. There’s so many UAE riders in terms of the trade team, not the national team, that uh yeah will no doubt be loving this. Um, very good TT performances from the team for yeah, the last few years. And as Ronda says as well, make sure to smash the like button. We’re 20 likes away from 100. Let’s try and get to 100. And we’re seeing Tabacha and a Slovenian flag as well. Next rider to come to the finish. This looks like it’s Raul Garcia outside the time of Banilda by quite a lot. He’s going to be finishing. Yeah, almost 2 minutes outside. But I think this is going to be. So yeah, uh Raul Garcia, this is uh not the best showing, but obviously he’s not a pure TT rider. He’s more of a mountain rider. So yeah, just wanted to see Rwanda, I guess. But yeah, he’s not going to be troubling the top 10 or the top three at all. I think he’s 2 minutes and six seconds down. He is actually he’s third. He’s third. He finishes provisionally third. Uh so he manages to get at a time better than Floren Bamesh. So not bad for the inbound Moistar rider uh in 2026. So um yeah, not too bad. Not too bad. Um but not a TT specialist as we said. So Andreas Lechnes is the second fastest at the third intermediate time check here. 15 16 seconds slower. And where have we got Paul Sizzax? Is Paul Sax? Where can we find him? He is coming up towards the cobble climb as well. Stefan Kring, we’re seeing him in that very solid form. Is he going to get caught by Tadagata? Who knows? Walter Vargas, seventh fastest through the first intermediate time track. The Colombian um vice champion, I guess. And who else are we looking out for? Matio Cartano, sixth fastest on the first intermediate time track. Uh Darren Rafati eighth fastest provisionally on the final and Matio coming towards that convention center finish. Is he going to be able to trouble the top 10, the top three provisionally? It’s not looking like a fast time right now. It’s not looking like a fast time. So, we will wait and see. We’ll wait and see. Great to have so many people in the chat. Let us know where you’re watching from as well. We will of course do the road race on Sunday, next Sunday. So be sure to look out for that. But right now we’re seeing Somero coming towards the finish. One of two Italians on the course. We got Matteo um Matia Katano as well. So two M’s representing them. No Filipana as we said, but a good time for Matteo Katano there. Sixth. Oh wait. Um, yeah, hasn’t I’ll just refresh the page and see it come up where he finished, but uh, yeah, third fastest for him. Third fastest. So, yeah, Manilda, Leonard, and so are these guys going to be finishing inside the top 10. Maybe Vanieldder, but uh, they are going to feel a lot of onslaught coming shortly. Paul Sezak hasn’t got too much airtime recently, so I don’t think the junior world time trial champion will feature in the pointy end of this time trial, unfortunately. But Tad Bugattacha, the Slovenian 2023 and 2020, actually triple world time trial champion uh triple national time trial champion and sixth place finisher in the 2022 time trial. World time trial is uh looking very solid. But we’ll wait and see when he gets to that first intermediate time check. That is where we’ll see what happens. And we’re getting Luke Plap coming towards the finish here outside the time of Unvelda, but I think he’s going to be sneaking inside the second place here. I think second place is very much up for grabs for him. Del Toro coming up towards the intermediate time check. So is Arensman and third fastest at the intermediate. Uh no wait, Luke Pla second fastest. Luke Plap second fastest here. Uh 27 seconds down on Banilda. So Luke Plap a good time trial I guess from him. I don’t know how you would line those two up. Vanera versus Plap. In my head I would think Van Vielder is not a good as good a time trialist as Luke Plop. But it’s a very different course. So Stefan Kung, how has he been preparing for this course here? The heat. Well, the heat isn’t actually a factor. I think it’s only about 25° 26°. So I don’t think that’s influenced the riders too much here. But Stefan Kung is looking to represent well he’s the only Swiss car. No, Marish M was here as well. So we will see what he can do here. But uh Remco Venpool his lowest finish in uh and time trial for the Belgians the road race 2024 finishing fifth a frustrating fifth. uh time trial he won obviously in Zurich, but yeah, we’re seeing Ivan Romeo here. What is he going to be able to do? Ivan Romeo looking very very fast. Um potentially um where was he? He was 10th fastest and the opening time check 29 almost 30 seconds down on Isaac Del Toro. But we’re going to see if Isaac Del Toro has managed to pace this perfectly or if maybe went a bit backwards. Who knows really? But we’ll wait and see. Today’s favorite for many people is Remco Veniple, but it’s a very close one with Taragatcha. Remco Veniple, we’re seeing him here, the Olympic world and national time trial champion. 25 years young, achieved so many things in the sport already at an age where many people, many riders just come to the forefront of their abilities and he’s already taken 65 victories in his career. Uh 21 of them being a time trial victory and we’ll see what he can do. 100% record as we said in terms of finishing on the podium in world time trial events and we’re seeing Arensman coming up to the intermediate time check 2. Del Toro is not far behind him, of course, so that is going to be intriguing to see what happens there. But Arensman, good TT rider on his day as well. But uh yeah, it looks like he’s not quite up there with the specialist here, 30 almost 39 seconds down on the time of Anvila. Van’s time is really good. Or was that Vanoa or was it someone else they compared that to? Um maybe it was someone else. Let me just double check that. But uh yeah, it was unveiled this time. It was unveiled this time. But uh Alex Andreas Lechnes, he’s the next rider of note to look out for. He I think he’s catching his miniman of um yeah, his miniman of Mar Schmidt where got Paul Sizzax here. Was a mistake to do this. I don’t know if you could do the under 23 time trial as well, but quite a few efforts there. But Cesax coming up towards the finish here. Will he be able to do something here? No. Out well outside the time of Anvila. So the junior to skipping the under 23 category was maybe not the best. He couldn’t replicate what Venipole did in 2019. Yeah, I think this was a mistake if I’m honest. Great experience though. Obviously, it’s his own choice, but maybe he could have meddled in the under 23 race uh time trial. So, yeah. Oh well. Fifth fastest, but it’s not going to be fifth by the end of this race for sure. Paul Sesak, what can he do in the road race? That remains to be seen. But the the star in the making for France, the to Lavanir winner this year and the junior world time trial champion in the time well from last year has made his mark. But Isaac Del Toro is coming up towards that second intermediate time check. He is close to the time of Unveielder, but I think he’s going to be just outside the time of Unveielder here. So yeah, he’s outside the time of Unfielder, but I think he is going to be the second fastest. No, maybe third fastest. I think he’s outside the time of of uh yeah, Lchnerson as well. So, uh Del Toro is going to stop the clock in the second intermediate time check. Third fastest. 17 seconds down. 17 seconds down, Del Toro. So, not bad there. Not bad. So, we’ll see what he can do, but he’s really pushing it. Was that start too much? I don’t know because he lost about what 27 seconds to Vana in that section. That’s quite a lot. Stefan Kung comes through 28 seconds down on Isaac Del Toro’s time. So Stefan Kung not really going that fast here. Stefan Kung not going as heavy as we thought maybe. So maybe it’s good. Maybe it’s strategic masterclass here by TT specialist. We will wait and see. But I don’t know. I think he is maybe out of this. I think maybe he might be out of this. So, we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. But Isaac Del Toro, he’s here. He’s looking very sharp towards the pointy end. Stefan Kung bit more on the conservative side here. Uh Tigatcha, what can he do here? T Pagatcha is looking solid, but we are waiting for that intermediate time check to give us a glimpse. Is this going to be an complete ripup of the race like we saw at the to France? Remco Veniple coming up towards that time check as well. Is Tadagachi going to flip the script once more, take the fastest time? Um, yeah, we will wait and see. There’s plenty of riders on the course here. Next rider to finish up note is Andreas Lechneson. Andreas Lechneson, can he challenge the top time here of Van Builder? Vanera still sitting pretty. Not really being challenged too much by many riders. Still has the the intermediate time checks where it counts. But Taragatcha rocking and rolling here. He’s on the hoods. Is he going to be able to do something? Is he going to absolute do another time trial masterclass that we saw in the to France? Yeah, we’ll wait and see. But Tagacha is the man of the moment here. Is he going to do his best ever result in a world time trial championships? Sixth is his best one to date in 2022. Oh, he’s outside the time. He’s going to be outside, I think, just from Del Toro. Yeah, he’s outside the time. Outside. second almost within a second here. So that is very very close. That is a very close call right now. That is some closeness going on there. Breathing down Isaac Del Toro’s time there. So if Tarviga can keep it up and not break like Del Toro did, losing the momentum in this until the next one, that really will be a good time here. So, Tarbiga already up by quite a lot here uh on Vanva. So, the big boys are coming. But can Remco Veniple do something here? That’s the big question now. Remco Venopol, this could be a big big moment for him as well. Um yeah, we’re gonna see. This is uh yeah, this is going to be interesting. I’m very intrigued with this Bremco. Obviously, the first time check doesn’t tell the full story. We know that as well. But it is a good indicator. It’s a very good indicator. And uh is this going to be it? Remco Veniple, we’re all holding our breath here. Remco Veniple’s time on that first intermediate time check. The time we’re looking at is 14. Oh. Oh my goodness. Remco kills it. 14 minutes and 5 seconds. 45 seconds quicker than Tibagatcha. Oh my goodness. The king is here. The king is here. Oh my goodness. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. This is ridiculous. The man, the myth, the legend. This is some extraordinary writing by Remco. Anyone who doubted him, myself kind of included. Absolutely destruction. Destruction here. That is ridiculous. Wow. Silenced everyone. Moment of silence, guys. Something special needs to be pulled out of the bag here by Tarbagache if he’s going to be able to do it here. Wowza. Wowers. Wower. That is ridiculous. Um, yeah. Great to have 300 people in the chat. Let us know where you’re watching from as well. We’re getting Andreas Lechnus coming towards the finish line here. Is he going to be able to get the fastest time here outside the time of Aniela? So that’s just answered. Uh who will win? Will it be Remco Remco available or Bagota? Uh that is our two options now. Sorry Zel Toro, I’m not going to put you on. Sorry Van, it’s a two horse race now. two horse race. Wowzer. That was That was something else. That was something else. I am very impressed. But yes, yes, it’s not over. That’s true. But uh yeah, to put 45 seconds into Yeah. Wow. I’m blown away by that time. Absolutely incredible. So, we’ll see if he holds this as well. But Andreas Lechnes, second fastest time at the finish here. Uh the Norwegian. We’ll see if he can hold for a top 10. But the Remco IPO, the three Oh no, the twotime world time trial champion maybe three. Who knows? Um yeah, Wower. Um yeah, that that is that is wow. Jayvine as well, we haven’t really talked about him. Where did he finish in the first time check four fastest? So I mean very close to that of Tatabaga. So three UAE guys within what two seconds of each other that is pretty impressive as well. So everyone on the same equipment everyone similar strategies I don’t know but yeah the swift this shift here. Um yeah this is this is impressive. There’s 51 seconds between Tarvagacha and Remco Veniple. Remco Veniple the world Olympic and national champion here will want to do something here. Obviously Taragach’s best result in this is of course um only sixth place. So if he gets on the podium that’s his first ever time trial medal as well. So let’s not forget about that. That I yeah that has to be said. The fact that Tadvagachi is even spoken in the same breath as Ramco in this kind of discipline just shows the versatility of the man and he has won against Adamo in the past in time trials. So yeah, let’s just get that record between the two of them as well. Um so they’ve faced off 10 times in time trials. Maybe I should get this on the screen as well so you guys can see it. Uh or the last is this the last 10 times or they’ve faced off 10? I think this they it’s this is their 11th time where they’ve been against each other. So, uh let’s just get that on screen as well. Welcome to everyone who subscribe to the channel. Plenty of videos coming up this week uh with the World Championships uh themed obviously, so look out for that. And uh yeah, let’s just see this. Look at that. That is a interesting record um comparison. last 10 wins between the two of them and uh yeah the Pagata has beaten him twice both of them coming inside the context of the tour to France so it is a quite a one-sided one to say the least but Bruno Mariah we forgot about him he’s coming towards the finish as well is he going to be the best of the French interest here um yeah not quite sure here. If Remco catches Tarbagatcha, that that would be quite a good uh poster for him. Uh the second Rwanda rider coming towards the finish line here. 6 minutes outside the fastest time of Van Buildilda. So, good effort by him as well. Um yeah, let’s see if if this is going to be an exciting one by the second time check as well. That is going to give us a good picture. Uh that second time track is still being led by teammate of Ramco Veniple, Van Viela. Van Viela. Is he moving teams? No, he’s staying with Saw Quickstep. So maybe he wants to try and get into the void of Remco Venol. Who knows that he’s leaving after leaving Red Bull and Jine. He’s certainly not a man to be slept on here. So we’ll see if he can pick up the pace here. A medal is up for grabs obviously, but is he going to be the man taking a medal here? Would have probably taken a medal last year in the world championships, but for that crash. So Jvine here looking very, very solid now. Very solid. What is he going to be able to do here? We haven’t had an Australian world champion since that of Rowan Dennis a few years ago here. So, it’s been quite a wait for the Australas, the Oceanic uh nation, but yeah, Remco Veniple not making it look easy here for any other riders to take this. We’re six likes away from 100. So, make sure to smash the like button as Rhonda says as well in the chat. And of course, we are going to do the road race and we got the recap race analysis this evening uh on the Cycling Dane Extra channel on the Cycling Dane podcast. Um yeah, but the Remco Veniple coming around. He’s got 22.9 kmters if he’s going to be able to win yet another championships. Um yeah, maybe he will. Zurich was a good one winning there. Uh 2023, where was that? I’m blanking. Where where did we have the 2023 one? Uh 2023 was Why am I blanking on this? Oh, that’s embarrassing. Glasgow, he won it in Sterling, of course, but uh yeah, we’ll see what he can do here. Uh absolutely incredible athlete, him and Taragatcha. Uh yeah, the battle is not over yet. The battle is not over. Robert Shark, why didn’t you do Welter? I was uh doing other projects and so tired after the tour if I’m honest. And I mean the welter kind of yeah it was kind of flat at the end. Many of the riders reportedly also very tired of it by the end of the second week. So yeah not the best atmosphere was it this year unfortunately. But Jvine coming up towards the second intermediate time check. He’s going to be inside the time of unbielder. So Jvine is going to set the new fastest benchmark on the second intermediate time check. Where is it going to stop? We will wait and see. But I think Jayvon has got the be better of uh Vaniela. This is going to stop at 26 seconds faster than Vaniela. So we’ll wait and see what happens here. We’ll wait and see. Thank you, Robert Shark. We will do the World Championships. Don’t worry, the road race and we’ve got Ilia coming up as well. So plenty of things. And maybe we’ll even do the cycle cross season if there’s an appetite for it. Um, but for the time being, we’re seeing Jayvine 32 seconds, 32 minutes and doing a very good job here to just pace himself. And are we going to see an Australian medalist? When’s the last time we had a medalist from Australia? Can we think of it? I I’m thinking Rowan Dennis, but maybe there was one before. Um yeah, if anyone knows medalist in terms of the time trial event in the senior rank, uh I can’t quite think of one. You’re thinking like Luke Plop, but I mean I don’t think Luke Plop has meddled in the senior world championships, but Bruno Amaray, we’re seeing him, the French hope, I guess. Uh yeah, well done to everyone. We’re over 100 likes as Vera said. And uh yeah, Bruno Mariah has 17.4 km to go. French commentators obviously very excited about him. H the next riders we’re seeing Stefan coming up towards the intermediate time check too and Bruno Mariah in there as well. But Jay Vine looking very very good here. He could be well and truly up for a medal. So this is going to be an exciting one. Are we going to see a medalist from Australia? We’ll wait and see. But Terra, will he know the news? I don’t know. Will he know the news here? I am not sure. Maybe, maybe. Um, we’ll wait and see if Tare knows. I don’t know if it is a good strategy to tell the riders. Will they be nervous? Will they outpace it? Or should you just stick to your pacing strategy? The Konago bike looks quite weird. It’s got like a The seat stays are like Yeah. positioned differently. Maybe it’s more aerodynamic, we’ve seen some very inventive styles and I think like because there are so many different time trial styles, helmets, etc. It shows that there’s not really one set optimum design yet because then they would have all converged onto that. So, uh we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. For the time being, uh we are seeing number four, Bruno Mariah doing everything to push it on. Great to have DB Cooper here as well. Great to have so many people in the chat. Let us know where you’re watching from. Bruno Mariah on nearing the second intermediate time track. He’s outside the time of Jay Bine, but I think he is going to set a quite strong marker here. He was fifth fastest on the first intermediate time track. So Bruno Mariah, I think he is going to get a top five, top 10 for sure. But yeah, very solid performance here by Bruno Mariah, the multiple national time trial champion. also switching teams if I’m not mistaken to Visma Lisa bike. Didn’t we mention that in proite in the transfer talks? I think we did. So, Bruno Mariah, one of the new signings. Um, yeah, very solid rider. Uh, Daffl certainly going to be sad to see him lose. Oh, Ronda saying we should have a a one for the bronze. So, who do you think is going to finish in the third place? This is going to be an interesting one with Jay Vine. Um, yeah. Who is the options here? I mean, Tarvagacha, who will finish third. So, now there could be Let’s just put all the UAE guys in the poll and then you guys can decide. Uh, I almost put Vinger, but it’s not Vinger. It’s Vine or Pagacho or other. It could be other as well, but Del Toro coming towards the third. Intermediate time check here. Third fastest it seems. So, third fastest for Del Toro. A solid ride by Del Toro. Let’s be honest. Not finishing inside the top 10 last year in the under 23 race, but here under 23 time trial, but here managing to get himself potentially inside the top 10 is a very, very good result by him. And it’s looking very very good here for Isaac Del Toro. He’s such a phenomenal rider. Absolutely incredible ride this year in many of the races. And after the World Championships, he’s going to resume his duties in the one day races in Italy. Just sweep up more victories for sure. But for the time being, it’s looking quite interesting here for the Mexican hopes. No national championships for them of course because of UCI. I am not even sure why. If anyone knows, please let us know. There’s some political reason or something going on. So, he can’t even be the Mexican national time trial champion, which is a shame, but 1.8 km still to go, but they have a national team. I don’t understand the politics there. So, Bruno Mariah four fastest in the second intermediate time check, I believe. Was it a second or third? um second but we’re getting Miguel Hydeman coming to the finishing line here the Belgian the German rider he’s represented Germany last year and he has here as well seven fastest provisionally I don’t think that is going to be happening at the end of this I think he’s holding he’s just a placeholder right now so we’ll wait and see uh okay can we remove the head to head yeah sorry about that I’ll remove the head to head there you go and yeah it’s It’s going to be a good one this final finish. Stefan Kung, I didn’t put Kung in the top three. Oh, guys, I’m sorry. Kung could have maybe been a factor, but he’s over a minute down on Jvine. So, he’s coming to the second intermediate chime check. So, I don’t think this is happening for him. I don’t think this is happening. So, uh yeah, this is looking different. Kung outside the time of top 10. So, not quite where you would have wanted. Arensman coming towards the finish here. Arensman, what is he going to do here? Is he going to pull something off? Looks like he might get inside the top five, I guess. Top five. Is this going to be the top five for him? Um, yeah, might just refresh our page as well. I think it’s a bit outdated, but uh yeah, it’s looking fairly good for oursman here. Stop the clock. 1 minute and 3 seconds down. That’s fourth fastest provisionally. So, I don’t think we’re going to see him winning the race, unfortunately. Well, he’s not he’s not even going to I think a top 10 is probably out of the question as well. So, we’ll wait and see. We’ll wait and see. But for the time being, Jvine Jvine is looking very, very strong here. 27 seconds quicker than Mildo, who’s currently holding the fastest time. 8.4 4 km left for the Australian. Super nice guy in person. We I happened to meet him with uh Euan at the Ruler Cycling Classic RU live event in London and he’s such a nice guy Jvine. So that always makes it better when they are super nice as well. Uh Tarvagacha coming up towards the intermediate time check here outside the time of his teammate of Jvine. So struggling here. Taragatcha absolutely struggling a bit. Um yeah, many many seconds outside here. So 21 seconds, 22 23. Yeah, stopping at 26 seconds almost down on Jvine. But second fastest time here for him. Isaac Del Toro coming to the finish here. He’s not going to be unseeding Vana here. So the Mexican not able to take the fastest time from Vaniela, but a good ride nonetheless. He’s going to be the second fastest, I believe. Second fastest by 4.8 seconds. So, good good ride there by Isaac Del Toro. Where was that ride last year in the under 23 time trial? But Remco Meniple. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Remco. Oh my god. He’s He’s one minute over a minute into the time of uh Jvine. Oh my goodness. This is obliteration, guys. Oh my goodness. This is destruction. Destruction. Oh my goodness. That third title is going nowhere but or this title is going nowhere but Belgium. Wowza. That was incredible. That destruction by Remco Veniple. This is masterclass domination. And this is what Patrick was alluded to in the previous show on the Cycling Dane podcast that Remco is a specialist in these one effort time trials and Taragatcha is great in the in the 3-week ones where you’re kind of grinding each other down, but here it’s as fresh as you can. Wowza, this is incredible. That is yeah flabbergasted by that. Wow. I can’t Yeah, this is uh this is crazy. Remco Veniple I think is one of the best time trialists we’ve seen certainly since the Fabian Canelara Tony Martin era. Um yeah and I think maybe we are going to see him beat that record that those two riders have joined. So, uh, this is this is remarkable stuff. Wow. I think we’re all just take a moment to let it sink in how much I think Jayvine might have silver, you know. I think this could be Jvine’s second place. Uh, because he’s got quite a buffer on Taragatcha. So, Tarpagata needs to find something if he’s going to be able to even get second place. Now, I think the bronze is even touch and go now. if he loses time to Vaniela. Well, we’ll see on the sec third time check here where Jay Vine is currently leading by 27 seconds down to Ian Vaniela, but this is destruction time. Remco Aenipul is doing it once more. Wowza. Uh we have also got our recap on the Cycling Dane podcast or on the Cycling Dane extra channel. So, be sure to check that as well. We got the preview shows for the road race coming up next week as well. So, be sure to check that out. Of course, this is interesting. Remro is the only man now. Well, he hasn’t won yet. Anything can happen, puncture, etc. But if he does win, he’s the only rider who can do the the double, of course, um which nobody’s ever done. So, we’ll see if he will do it here. But Remco Venipo, Wowza. Yeah, this is uh this is immaculate stuff here. Absolutely sensational. But in terms of other riders that we’re looking out for, um yeah, Del Toro, as we said, second fastest at the provisional finish. You got Lechnerson in third place there and Maniel still holding that hot seat. So, a good ride by him. A good benchmark to say the least. So, we’ll we’ll wait and see. There’s no more riders after this. This is it. Stefan Kung. So, everyone’s passed the uh second intermediate time check as well. So, that’s done. Now, we’re all eyes towards that third time check. And then it’s all about the finale. Even Romero coming up towards the final time check or the final time as well. Not really setting the time sheets a light. The uh under 23 world time trial champion from last year. I mean Tad could get caught here by Remco Veniple at these speeds. So um yeah, maybe he’s going to get his revenge for being caught by you spingle at the perigur time trial. So um we’ll see. We’ll see. Um but Remco Veniple absolute bullet train as we know. But there was a few people that had a bit of uncertainty. I mean, Patrick picked Tarvagacha, I think. Um, cuz, you know, Tarvagacha has that wow factor sometimes, but he did say that Remco is the best at like showing up and doing it. Um, yeah, we’ll see. This is This is crazy. I mean, uh, historical like famous catchings at world championships. Uh, remember the Rocklitch getting caught by Rowan Dennis at the finish? That was quite a famous one and you want to sprinkle Remco but that was at the to France but this is this is some performance by Remco Veniple you have to say absolutely dominant almost 30 miles an hour here average pace at the second intermediate time check and yeah Jvine we will see if he can hold on to maybe getting a second or getting a medal at least he was world champion last year with the mixed relay he’s going to be part of that team yet again. But uh yeah, even Romeo coming up towards the finishing line here, the under23 world time trial champion from last year, Spanish road race national champion did win a stage as well in the doofen this year in his first world tour season. The mob star rider real hope for the future for the Spanish team and we’ll see if he can improve in the time trial as well in the next years. not had the best season in terms of time travel trolling, but um yeah, this is looking solid ride by him. Solid ride. But uh yeah, would have probably wanted better if we’re honest. But yeah, he stops the clock. 1 minute and 16 seconds down, sixth fastest time. That’s not going to guarantee him uh 10th place. I think there’s plenty of riders who are on faster faster times than him. So I think he is going to slip outside the top 10 unfortunately. Ivan Romeo. So yeah, next rider to come in towards the finish is Matia Katano. Walt Vargas of Colombia. He’s coming up as well. Bruno Mariah. He’s on the penultimate climb the 1.9 km at 6.6%. Titagatcha really needs to be aware of the bullet train, the Belgian bullet train, the aerobullet. Absolutely destruction here. Um yeah, the third intermediate time check. Remco Veniple coming towards that. Uh Tarbaga was fourth in this time check. Nearly two minutes down. Yeah, he’s 2 minutes down on Remco. Oh my goodness. I think didn’t they start like 2 minutes and 30 seconds? Remco is gonna destroy this. Remco is absolutely going to destroy this. I think Tarvagacha is close to being caught now. I think they’re telling him that he can’t catch Tadvagatcha. This is this is what bedroom posters are made of for pros. If you can catch Tardaga in a world championships. Yeah. Yosing has the catch on his bedroom wall probably. Um, so yeah, but Jay Vine, we’re following him as well. He’s got 2 km left. A solid time here. If he can get the quickest time, maybe he can just hold off enough riders to get a medal. I think second place is on the cards for him. I think a second place could be it for Jvine, which is a astonishing performance. We were thinking medal, yes, but second place maybe not. But Jay Vine absolutely staggering athlete as we know and is doing a very very good one here. Vaniela. Yeah, Robert Shark saying Van Vielder could be third here. Van Vilda absolutely could be third here. Grabbing a third place medal. That would be a result and a half for Belgium if they can do that. What was that? There was someone having a bike problem on on the road here as well. That almost hit Jvine. Um, oh yeah, changing of Yeah. bikes here. So, um, yeah. Yeah. Vera saying posterizing. Uh, but, uh, we’ll wait and see. Right now, Mata Katano, uh, I’m not sure what link. I’m watching Eurosport, so can’t really drop that link, but Matteo Katano is doing a good ride. Ah, top ninth. He’s not going to get the 10th place there. Not a 10th place, unfortunately. So, uh, yeah, unfortunately not happening for the Italians. So, no Ghana here. So, we thought that was kind of medal aspirations gone. Anyway, Remco Venipo, is he going to catch that? Ah. Um, yeah, this is 6.9 km still to go for Remco Veniple. Um, we’ve have Ryan Mullen fail in 19th. So, nothing really. And who else have we got? Romeo, we said sixth fastest at the finish. Del Toro, where’s he? He’s coming up towards the finish as well. Taragatcha, he’s going to feel the bullet train from Belgium breathing down his neck here. The world time trial champion, Olympic time trial champion, Belgian time trial champion. You name it and he’s the champion. not European, but he might take that this year. But Tata, he’s absolutely getting a lesson here of the World Time trial championships. Maybe people were a tad over ambitions on on his behalf, but Jay Vine has got a lot of time in hand here on Van Vilda, but he has got a bit of a kick up to the line. As we know, the time is 5222. If he’s going to take the fastest time provisionally, we’ll wait and see. This is a very very pivotal point of the race of the time trial. Jay Vine, is he going to be taking a third place or well, is he going to take a podium when it comes to the finish, but is he going to take the hot seat here? He’s inside the last 300 m. Well, inside the 150 m mark almost. So he is going to take the new fastest time 51 minutes almost flat 51 minutes averaging 47.8 Eight kilometers. Very good ride by Jay Bine. Stop the clock. Many Australians would say right now stop the clock. But uh yeah, obviously we have quite a few riders still to go. A handful of riders. But Jvine there unseats Van Builder for the first time in a long time. A great ride there by Jvine. Absolutely incredible riding by him. Remco Venobo. He can see Tatcha. He can see him. The wounded Slovenian. Oh my goodness. Who would see this coming? Wowza. Wowza. Wowza. This is ridiculous. I didn’t have this on my bingo card uh list. This is staggering. I did not have this on the bingo card. Um yeah. Wow. This is really this is incredible. But yeah, Remco T their rivalry has written another small chapter here that has swung in the favor of the Belgian. This is absolute destruction here. This is not what we thought we were going to seeing. Um yeah, this is crazy. I didn’t think we were going to see this today. I don’t think many people were going to see this. Um, yeah. Wow. Remro the triple world time trial champion. Maybe elect is about to catch the tour to France champion. The four times to France champion just has a bit of a bottle. He can see him. He knows it’s maybe happening. A Ramco. Are you going to write another incredible chapter in your career here? He has a 100% record on fitting on the podium. Terra Bacha wounded. Not how he would have wanted his world time trial to go. Stefan Kung, we haven’t talked about him either. 10th on the third time check. So I don’t think the Swiss rider is going to be finishing inside the the interesting point of this uh world time trial championships but uh right now we are seeing Remco Venopol doing a very solid ride here. 4 kilometers to go. 4 km. Wow. Can he make the catch? That is the next question. Are we going to see the catch here? Um yeah, as Beer said, yeah, no one had this on on their bingo card. people even flirting with the thought that Tare could maybe win this. But yeah, absolutely the wrong way that we were looking. Bruno Marai inside the last kilometer of his effort here. And Reco Venipal doing a very very solid ride. Very solid ride coming around the corners here. Is he going to make the catch? That is the big question. Um, yeah. Wowza. Kegali delivering a miracle. Not a miracle, but a shocking moment. Let’s call it that. U. Yeah, Bruno Mariah. He’s venturing towards that tricky uphill parkour that we’re looking towards, but he really needs to get as close as possible. I don’t think he’s going to meddle Bruno Marai. Um yeah, the multiple champ French French champion in um yeah, French national champion. He was top five in the in the fifth or in the penultimate time check. So is he going to set the times al light? He’s well outside the time of Jvine. So Jvine is um completely fine about this. Jvine is doing an absolutely impressive ride here or did an impressive ride. Jay Vine leading this. Um yeah taking yeah well Ramco is going to destroy this but Jayvine after that bad luck last year this could be very very good for him Bruno Mariah where is he going to stop the clock how close is he going to come to the podium provisionally he’s almost outside two minutes outside I think Jine we have to start calling him a TT specialist there sixth fastest for Bruno Marai so nowhere near the podium oh here it comes Ramco Veniple sees Tagacha. The catch is about to be made. Wowza. Wowza. Wowza. Wowza. He has it. He has him where he wants him. And it’s done. It’s over. Remco Veniple has caught Tarbagatcha in a time trial. Did not think this was on our bingo card. This is crazy scenes. Wowza. Remco Veniple does the unthinkable. Drops. Yeah. So it seems like Belgians are the are the um kryptonite to Tabaga this year. While Bernard dropping him on the final stage of the tour to France and here. Yeah. Remco Venipo. This will be a huge moral victory for Remco. Uh the Yeah. Wow. This is incredible. I’ll try to get the the screenshot as well for us on the screen. But this is absolutely iconic scenes uh what we’re seeing Remco Venol catching Taragacha with what was it? Two and a half minutes. That is that is a lot. Um so yeah, wow. I can’t Yeah, I can’t think. Yeah. Okay, the Vingle Remco that was definitely also on par with this. But uh yeah, Tarigatcha, we thought he was the favorite, but Remco Vimple putting a huge statement here. Huge statement to the world. I am the best at time trial list and none of you can take that away from me. And uh yeah, wow, incredible in Kegali. Who thought that would happen? Me for certain. No, I was I was thinking of him. Yeah, I think T might not even be close to the getting the podium here. I think it might be Jay Vine on the podium. Maybe Jvine with Remco with Vana. Is that our podium? But Remco Venipo absolutely getting rid of Tuga here. Not even close right now. Just dropped him. Wow. Absolutely incredible this. But uh yeah, are we going to see Yeah, we are going to see uh Remco destroy this now. I think this is uh this is just absolutely destruction masterclass. But of course, Jvine is the one with the hot seat. Is Jayvine going to be the best UA memory? That is another question now as well. Is Tare completely spent? Is he not going to be able to do it here? But uh yeah, Remco Veniple on the cobbles getting rid of Tarabaga the Toro Flanders winner. Obviously, he didn’t win it on a on a time trial bike, but still it’s it’s interesting this um yeah, they’re coming towards the finish line, those two as well. But Stefan Kung is our next rider to finish. He has not been having a great one to be honest. Uh yeah, this is not how Stephen Kung would have wanted this world championships. He’s gonna finish in eighth place. So, eighth place for him. We’ve got Del Toro in in third place. Third place, good result for him. But yeah, I mean, Van Wiela might take a medal here. So, uh yeah, Remco Veniple, he’s going to be finishing before Tibacha now. Uh he’s coming inside. What is this? We can’t see any stats here, but they’re coming inside the time. He’s got about 2 minutes to make it to the finishing line, the Olympic, National, and World Time trial champion. Is this his third championships in a row in the World Time trial championships? He’s going to make his way all the way up to the finish here. This looks like it’s going to be his in the We knew this, let’s be honest. But, uh, yeah, he’s going to be putting time into everybody. This is the world champion, the Olympic champion, and he is going to be the threetime Olympic champion. I think he is going to be inside maybe the 50 minute mark as well. Is he just going to creep into under 50 minutes? Jvine, yes, three. There you go. With Tadagacha in the back. What a poster. What a poster. And Tadagacha racing to the finish as well. He is going to be fourth. Tidying fourth. So, it’s a medal for Vana. Vaniela takes the medal. Vaniela takes the medal by one second. One second. Wow. Did not see that coming, guys. Did not see that coming. But still best result for Tare. Best result for T at a World Championships. Let’s not forget about that in terms of the time trial. So, it’s not it’s not like it’s his worst performance at all. Not like it’s the worst performance at all here. So, uh yeah, absolutely incredible here. Um yeah, wowza. Absolutely incredible, incredible performance there by Veniple. Um, and yeah, T getting his best result so far at a world championships, moving up from his sixth place. We’ll get you the top 10 as well. Um, and I’ll hurry up and go over to the recap race analysis afterwards available on the Cycling Dane podcast. I hope you’re all subscribed to that on Spotify. But, uh, yeah. Wowza. That was that was some finish. And what a poster for. Yeah, as uh as Vera said, posterizing that moment with him doing one, two, three, and Pagatcha struggling in the background. That is not something you see every day. So, uh yeah, let’s get ourselves the top 10 as well. And there’s plenty of things to discuss about this race. Uh but the top 10 of the world championships 2025 time trial elite. We have Removal winning his third time trial championships on the world scene beating Jay Vine getting his first medal which is incredible to say the least as well. And then we had Ian Manielder getting a bronze medal. That is a big big result for him as well. 2 minutes and 36 seconds down and you can see 1.6 seconds splitting him with Pagatcha. Uh, Pagata, fourth place, good result by him. Fifth place for Isaac Del Toro, a really good result for him. Andreas Lechnus in sixth place. You can’t be too unhappy about that. Luke Plop getting inside the top 10 with the seventh place. Bruno Mariah, best French rider with an eighth place. Arensman sneaks inside the top 10. Stefan Kung, another top 10 for him as well in terms of the world time trial championship. So, still a very good record by him. But I mean the story is going to be about Jay Vine second place. The story is going to be about catching Tadatcha. That was an incredible catch there by Adam Kinipal. Absolutely super dominant. You can see you did almost 49 km an hour. Um average that is a phenomenal speed over that course as well. And you can see it’s almost it’s 2.4 km quicker an hour than Tarricha. So, pretty pretty crazy uh starts there. But, uh yeah, we’ll we’ll wait and see if they are able to um yeah, obviously we got the road race coming up, those two. And uh it should be quite intriguing to see what happens between the pair of them there as well. But, Remco Veniple absolutely dusting it off. The champion, the man, the myth, the legend. threetime world time trial champion now together with Mick Rogers and he only needs one more to equal the record with Tony Martin and Fabian Catalara. So yeah, wowza. Absolutely wower. Well yeah I we’re all speechless uh with what happened here. I think uh that was an ridiculous performance by absolute destruction. He led every single intermediate time check the fastest time there and uh yeah, wow, wow, wow, wow. It was phenomenal that. But I mean, there were plenty of interesting performances in there as well. Uh Del Toro top five certainly very strong. I mean, three UAE riders inside the top five. That is an impressive result as their trade team. I can’t think the last time that happened. I’m sure it’s Inos Grande who did that if we’re honest. But uh yeah. Wow. That I was not expecting this at all. I don’t think many of us were. So uh yeah, Revenol says he’s felt pretty good. Yeah, probably. Yeah. Uh and yeah, it was all about that bang effort. This isn’t a grand tour. This is all about the banging effort, the 100% and uh yeah, I think Veniple can absolutely add two free titles to this. Uh he’s been really dominant over a vast array of courses. So um yeah, I think yeah, we’ll bring on the road race after this. Bring on the road race. Anyways, with that, that’s basically it for this stream.
